Very warm, great on winter walks. Hood is unusable, falls off plastic snaps under its own weight. Have to wear hats. Very disappointed with this.

I had the old model, and I loved it! I wanted to upgrade to this new model, but unfortunately, it feels cheap and not the same quality. The hood snaps off so easily I just permanently removed the hood which is a shame because a hood is nice for colder days. Every time I put on my purse, half the hood snaps off. This may be because of the cheap plastic use for the "snap-away" to attach the hood. What I like: it's super lightweight and warm - one of the lightest parka I've even worn. I'm 5' 2" and love the length.

Hood has plastic snaps. They always fall off. Zipper gets stuck. Wouldn't buy again

Not happy with the new version of this jacket. Bought original one 10 years ago & has lasted me this long. The new one I got -poor zipper function. I get so angry taking off the jacket that sometimes I step out of it because I can't get the zipper to unzip. I also lost my hat 2 months after buying. What were they thinking to have a snap on not a zipper hood?? Good thing I got the health care worker 50% discount on this jacket so makes me less annoyed I bought

As far as the actual jacket goes, the jacket is cute, lightweight, but very warm! I have to knock off 3 stars for the hood though. I live in Minnesota and use my hood regularly. The snaps on the hood are cheap plastic and the hood rips off from the jacket even when putting the hood up. I ended up having to buy super glue and gluing the snaps together; not something I should have to do with a jacket this expensive. I'm also having an issue with loosing feathers quite frequently. I would not buy this jacket again until they fix the snaps on the hood!

I really wanted to love this coat. I had a previous down/puffer jacket about this length from North Face for almost 10 years. Other reviews are accurate about the little white feathers poking out a lot. Additionally the snaps on the hood are super cheap and pop off SO easily. It's a miracle I haven't lost the hood. Sometimes it's hanging on by two snaps. I plan on sewing it on permanently. I found the medium to be a bit too big, but a small would be too restrictive (I have another similar NF in S currently). Compared to my previous coat which was similar in style, this is a cheaply made product and I would not recommend it.

When I have the hood on, it comes unsnapped with a strong wind. The snaps are poor quality/fit

I was excited when the jacket arrived. The zipper was broken so I had to send it back. Would have been a good coat.

Very disappointed. Cheap, plastic snaps that cause the hood to detach frequently to the point I worry about losing it. Feathers shed constantly. I loved my previous north face parka and was excited to replace with this one. Very disappointed. Poor customer service too. They said return and they would replace. I don't want the same product, even offered to pay for an upgrade plus I live in Michigan and would be without a coat.

The feathers constantly fall out. Some holes developed near the back under my arms. I tried to take it back but it had been 67 days since I bought it. I was told I could send it back, as that's the life time warranty. No new coat. I took it in and they said send it back and wait 8 weeks or since it's December I could patch it with duct tape and send it in the spring. Not so great customer service.

Snaps on hood are TERRIBLE. Hood is always falling off.. So disappointing...Don't waste your money or you'll be spending all your time attaching the hood to the coat!!!!!

This coat is cut stylish, light weight and warm- for not atleast. Since purchasing this coat it has shed so many feathers I'm not sure it will be warm by the end of winter. The feathers are all over my car and constantly stick me when wearing. The hood pops off witn any slight movement. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this coat. I've definitely bought better at lesser cost. Save your money, the name isn't worth it.

Very disappointed in this coat. It literally sheds feathers everywhere and my car seat is covered in white feathers. The hood comes off too easily so I just keep it because it gets aggravating. If I didn't get this with the Healthcare discount before they made it ineligible, I would be returning it. It's not worth the money

The coat was nice. But I had to return due to poorly made hat. The hat detaches from the coat very easy. If you put it on it will not stay attached to the coat.

I usually love my Northface products but I am disappointed in the craftsmanship of this one. The snaps on the hood are cheap and pop off at any point of resistance. They come off even when turning your head. For a longer coat the pockets are shallow. Overall warm enough for everyday use but I would not recommend based on the quality.

The hood is just AWFUL. The snaps are cheaply done so anytime you try to hang it or even slightly move or adjust your coat, the hood will pop off. I've only ever worn north face coats and this is by far the most disappointing.

I just purchased the Metropolis in the maron colour. Why are the zippers different colours? The longer middle one is maron coloured and the two on the pockets are black? This jacket looks different than the one on the website where all zippers are the same colour. Not sure if this was intentional or a manufactruing error. I will be returning it.

I am 5'2" and 125lbs I ordered a small. I was very disappointed in the quality of this product. Sleeves are way too short and the velcro on them is not good.

The snaps on the hood suck. If you hang the coat on a hook by the hood, the snaps just fall off. I wore the coat at a corn maze with 40mph wind and the hood blew off. The snaps are terrible. Wish I would have went with the other coat that had the hood attached.

I love the coat. I went to put it on for the first time and the hood fell off. I had to grab an old coat. Taking this one back. I really love the coat except for the hood.

In spite of all the good reviews, I didn't really like this coat. It was nice, but too thin and not very warm. Also, the hood isn't attached very well... it's attached with snaps and comes off at the slightest touch. I'm returning the coat for something that is better constructed and warmer.

I don't like lols dertty all the time

I love North Face and think the quality is great. However their sizes run small. I ordered my usual size and will have to return it as it is about one size too small.

I have the medium heather grey and I had to stop wearing this jacket all together after a week. The feathers come out - all my clothes were covered - especially anything black which is pretty much all my work clothes at this time of year. Even my nice (non-black) work laptop backback was covered in feathers. It's really too bad as the fit is wonderful. Not very warm / wind proof though. Thankfully I was gifted a new parka from a different brand for Christmas.
