I jsut got these shoes, and they are very irritating on my arches. Its like the space between the foot bed and the side of the shoe are rubbing on both my arches. Very uncomfortable. I am glad they have the 30 day trial, I am going to wear them, and see if they improve, but on 3rd day and no improvement.

I developed new foot pain in my left foot after the first run. These shoes feel very hard and are not what I expected from the Hoka brand. I wish I had bought them here so I could return them. With the flexible upper, they're also slightly difficult to get on.

This shoe is very different from my first 3 pairs of Hokas. The sole of the shoe is great but the rest of the shoe is super flimsy. My feet really hurt after my first run in these. Two mikes into a run they come untied even with tight double knots ..and every two miles after that. Very disappointed. Hokas are great but not this model. Oh, and I also had to 1/2 size down in this model compared to my past Hokas. They still feel big

I usually wear Clifton 7s but figured I'd give these a try. The tongue and fabric covering the top of the shoe are too thin to support the foot, left me with bruises on the tops of my toes. They come untied at least twice every time I use them even when double knotted. Not what I would expect from an expensive shoe.

I loved how light these shoes felt with the comforts and support you can expect from Hoka. However, within 45 miles, the sole of the shoe is already severely damaged where my big toes are. Looking at the bottom of the shoe, you'd think I'd ran 1200 miles in them. I'm not sure if the lighter material being used is very durable. As a woman under 130lbs, I would think the shoes could hold up more than 45 miles. I've ran in 5 other Hoka models and never had an issue like this.

One shoe felt like had less cushion than other. Not comfortable enough for my nursing ft. on 23h shifts. Returned both.

My left foot hurts. You need to have available half sizes.

I should have ordered a shoe that is made more for walking than running since this shoe did not feel right for long walks.

I was excited to see this shoe on sale but the condition was very different from the other 2 shoes I purchased that was not on sale. From the paper wrapping inside to the feel of the fabric.

I would recommend this to a runner if your feet are in good shape. My feet are not in good shape. By wearing them, they shaved off on my running time. Light weight, felt great. But when I got up the next morning, I couldn't walk. Again, my feet are not in the best shape. Returned those and bought Rincon and they had just the right amount of cushion that I needed. Love those!

I really thought that I would like these; however, I did not. I sent them back the same day.

I was so looking forward to the Carbon X. I ordered my first pair in my traditional Hoka size, only to exchange them for a half size up in the hopes that they would fit better across my forefoot. No dice. They are significantly more narrow in the toe box than traditional hokas, and the fabric choice for the upper offers absolutely no give. My feel are not wise, and I've been happily running in Hokas for years. These will have to go back- I hope next year's version will have a more traditional width in the toe box.

It seems like Hoka has gone way more toward serving average walkers rather than runners. All the sizes are way too big. The toe boxes on all the shoes are huge as compared to a bit more narrow boxes for competitive runners. So much excess material in the toe box area. Almost impossible to get the correct sizing online they fit so huge.

So many of my running friends LOVE their Hokas that I decided to give them a try. Went with the Carbon X since they are the newest. My first impression was "meh" but I wanted to so love them so badly that I kept trying. First, the shoe laces wouldn't stay tied (even in double knots) then the right shoe started squeaking with every step... and yet I persevered :-) Next, the left shoe started cutting into the back of my ankle. This morning, it did it so much that my sock and shoe were bloody after my run. I have finally thrown in the towel :-( I am going to try another style with hopefully better luck.

Test run today the Hoka Carbon X, not for me. My feet hurt. 5 miles in and I couldn't take another step. Unfortunately as I was excited to put these on when received, I couldn't wait to take them off. It wasn't really cushioned as they described. I will be returning.

I would never purchase shoes online again. I answered all the questions prior. They are way too big. My daughter will be returning them for me. I am 74 yrs old and need help because i am visually impaired. . I am so sorry the shoes did not fit. Hokas were recommended by a lot of people. They were way too big.

I was so excited for this shoe. I thought the concept of carbon fiber in a shoe was awesome and innovative! I received them as a gift. I'm not a super intense runner, but I still track my miles. After about 150 miles, I noticed the bottom of the shoe start to show significant wear. There were soft spots in the sole that would allow small rocks to get stuck in, and I would have to stop my run to get them out. Fast forward about 100 more miles, and the rubberized sole is worn down so much that the carbon fiber is showing. Which means that the shoe only lasted for half the amount of miles it should have. Maybe it was just one faulty shoe that I got? I expected more from HOKA, I have never seen any shoe doe this before.

I wanted to love these shoes I really did but unfortunately I don't. I don't like the way they fit or feel and my feet hurt after I run in these. Not as light weight as I was hoping for. I'd like a full refund for the inconvenience. Thank you for your time and I wish you a blessed day!

I'm so upset, this is my first hoka purchase and I've heard amazing things. After spending close to 200 on shoes I saw this as an investment. Right now I'm down to very light use, maybe 10 miles run per week. After only four weeks the shoes have huge holes in both of the heels that give me blisters, as well as holes on the bottom! There was nothing wrong wi th the fit when I first got them, it just seems like they wore EXTREMELY quickly. I used to be a marathoner so I am familiar with how to take care of shoes as well as how long they last- far longer than one month at my small running volume! I can't recommend these to anyone and I'm extremely let down

First time buyer for this brand . Was recommended to me as a shoe with enough comfortable support. Since I work 12 hr shifts and on my feet all day. I saw no difference than the shoe I currently wear. The sad part is the shoe I currently use didn't cost me so much as the HOKA shoe did.

Comfy but the pull strap on the back broke after about a week which is pretty ridiculous for how much these cost.

Hi the Carbon X 8.5 is a tight it, I couldn't get my feet in this shoe and it has a lot of sole, I'm used to the 8.5 Bondi. The Bondi is a great shoe and fit. I was trying out the newer version of Hoka.
