I bought these shoes because I read that theyvarechood for people recovering from plantar plate tear. They do help. My foot is not nearly so painful when I work out! However, they feel too big and they are really clunky. Its hard to go to dance class in them. I wish I had ordered a smaller size.

I have worn Cliftons for all my distance running needs since the 3s. Marathon after marathon they've never let me down. I've recommended them to anyone and everyone. However, after running in the 6 it seems they have removed most if not all of the "rocker" technology I so loved about this model. I'm a heel striker and it greatly alleviated my plantar fasciitis. Hoka please bring back the rocker to the Clifton so I can continue run without pain!

The fit was too wide for my narrow foot. The shoe is very lightweight, but the result is that the support and cushioning is not as good as some earlier versions of the Clifton. The top part of the shoe is so lightweight that it is almost flimsy and doesn't give cushion to the top of the foot. I love that it comes in white and wish more Hokas came in plain white.

My podiatrist recommended a more supportive athletic shoe so I tried the Hoka One Clifton 6. I guess because I have been wearing the wrong shoes for so long, the Hoka felt totally unnatural to me. I did not like the rocker feeling. Left foot also seemed to turn to the left in these. Nice wide toe box.

I liked the feel of these except that they run small for me. I usually wear an 8 and that is what I ordered. So many reviewers say they run large. I do not agree at all. I would have ordered a half size larger if they had any decent colors left. Not sure why Zappos seems to have such a limited quantity of Hoka One One. They used to have every color and every size. I will keep trying. I ordered another style to see if it will work. However, the Clifton 6 is a really nice shoe.

No matter which Hoka shoe I try, they make my feet go numb, yet their flip-flops fit great. Go figure?

Good cushion on sides of footbed, however, not enough arch support for my high arches.

I run 4 miles 5 mornings a week. I wish I had bought a style that was labeled as "Plush". I feel like me knee could use the cushioning.

This shoe felt great, though a little tight in the width, when I first started to wear them but as they "broke" in I began to develop a blister/callus on one foot from the outside edge seaming. Recommend you return if tight when you first try them on.

I was a true fan of this shoe up until the Clifton 5, when they began running a bit larger. I ordered the 7.5 in
the Clifton 6- and this still remains true. There is way too much room in the toe and my heal slips. Such a shame
because these were my go to shoe.

I normally wear an 8 in regular shoes, but size up in Brooks Glycerin 15 to a 9. 9 was WAY too big in these, and had to exchange for an 8.5 (Zappos great help!). Still a bit large. I have narrow feet, and usually can wear a narrow shoe, but it is not always necessary. These had great cushioning and I wanted to love them, but they gave me blisters on my toes and marks on the arches. I thought it would get better once they broke in, but they didn't. I am not giving up, and will try another model of this brand for the cushioning alone.

I think it was a half size bigger than needed, but I ordered a wide so that may have affected the sizing. I am returning them because I really wanted a Hoka Carbon X, not sold here, and the Clifton 6 was less expensive. My aim was to do short 3-5k runs (slow jog in my case). I have had the Clifton 4 which was very good, and currently use the Torrent for quick trail hikes or runs in the woods. IMHO, this version of the Clifton is not worth the money for the "feel". It's probably fine for long walks or standing around, but it is so light and mushy that it seems a fifty dollar pair of Skechers would do. The design is ok. I would prefer that Hoka not design white soles.

It's soft but not much support. I got metatarsal pain after my work out. If you don't need good support, this might be adequate.

I've been wearing Cliftons for work, daily wear, and running for 4 years because it's the only shoe that I'd ever found that I didn't also have to wear an arch support. Unfortunately they changed the midsole on the 6s which makes them feel much less supportive. Disappointing.

I loved the color of this shoe and the design, but when I put it on it was entirely too big. My heel slid around the back of the shoe and my whole foot slid forward in the shoe. the whole shoe felt really unstable and I had to send it back.
I'd also recommend:

The insole is too thin and was extremely uncomfortable to walk in. I had to put in my old (HOKA Clifton) insoles. However, they are still uncomfortable because they throw my right foot to the left - unlike my old Clifton's.

38 years of working on my feet took a toll. Plantar fasciitis and 2 surgeries left me unable to walk any distance. I bought my first pair of Hoka shoes and finally found some relief. I am disappointed though because I buy the same style (Clifton) and same size every time and here lately, every new pair seems to have gotten a little larger. (Both width and length). My last pair was for a trip and I won't be able to take them. I bought an 8 and it was 1/2 size too big. I returned it for a 7 1/2 and the length is right, but the arch doesn't hit where it should. I LOVE my previous Hoka shoes, but am wondering where the consistency has gone. I was told by customer service that it may have been a midsized pair and to try again. Do I want to take a chance?

I have the Clifton 3 which I love. I ordered the 6 and found that (1) I like the cushion better in the 3, (2) I like the wider sole of the 3, and (3) I was not a fan of the stitching on the side of the Clifton 6. It rubs on the side of the foot. I returned them.

Not as cushioned in Metatarsal area as I expected, doesn't give me the stability I need and heal makes me feel like I'm going to rock backwards.

I loved the Clifton 5's and they were great support for my feet. I have Plantar Fascitis in both feet and those shoes made it easy to run again. I got the Clifton 6's and my feet already hurt.

These are going back. They are long, ordered my usual size 7 but too big. I did order wide width and that was good for my foot. I didn't think they were that great but I want to try a 6.5 wide in the Bondi to see if that is better for my problematic feet.
