I have been running 6 to 10 miles 5 days a week for years and have never had running shoes cause me the kind of pain that 2 weeks in these shoes did. Wearing these shoes gave me two massive blood blisters near my arches, as well as a severe stress reaction in my shin. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone.

I am not sorry ,this shoe just does NOT turn me on ,in any way ,shape or form.
I have tried relentlessly to prove this wrong to myself ,but to no avail,
I do not like how it slopes down at the back of the heel inside ,which position. this does not feel harmonious in the least, the downward motion is similar to having your toes on the edge of a ledge and lifting up ward for working out .I cannot fathom how this is natural or complimentary long term if one may not want to bulk the calves even more all day .
I do understand this concept but the degree of the slope is off . The MBT chapa sneaker ( discontinued) captures and executes this more precisely and accurately while also having better esthetics.
I am used to the MBT chapa sneaker and many more of the older mbt sneakers , which i can actually see , and feel my entire body responding and looking beautiful doing so ,and then the next day my legs and abs are cut ,just from wearing them indoors at home.so the bar has been set high.
These shoes also ran very big i ordered them three times normally i am eight and half and i ended up with seven and half but it was to narrow and my foot swim in the wide because only the pinky toe part is wide the rest is not.
I have seen people wearing this and have tried many times ,as i thought surely i am ordering the wrong one,i have tried many pairs and each pair many sizes and not only are they unflattering but they simply DO NOT feel good and do not elongate the calf muscle but make it squat more .
Form truly does follow function and for me and me needs this shoe possesses neither.
Zappos has been wonderful and i am most grateful for their awesomeness in this process.

I have been wearing this particular shoe for years and never had a problem but had to return them as they were way too wide as well as long. It might have just been this particular pair because I went to my local running store and bought the Clifton 8.5 and it fit perfectly.

I've read some other reviews that the Clifton 6 was less comfortable than the Clifton 5 but I always try things for myself. I had been wearing Clifton 5 and loved them and thought the 6 would be even better but I was wrong. They feel flat and hard compared to the Clifton 5. Less cushion and my problem foot aches after wearing them on a short run. This did not happen in my Clifton 5s. Please continue to make the Clifton 5s!!!!!!! The Clifton 6 left me disappointed!

Well, at least the upper is an improvement on the Clifton 5 but I'm a Clifton 4 devotee and these just thud flat on a run because the rocker base has changed. So the running stride is not as smooth a transition. If you're in hokas because you like that rocker transition, these ones have it on mute. I put the Clifton 4 and these side by side and gently tapped the toe and the heel - the 4 rocks back and forth, the Clifton 6 just thuds to a quick stop. Hoka, this is your signature thing about your shoes? Gonna have to find other rocker brands.

I’ve been waiting for this order and it says it was cancelled? WHY? Why? WHY?
I'd also recommend:
Why was my order cancelled? Why did you not let me know?

The tongue is too short, could not tie a runners knot, shoe lace would come off of tongue. Plus, after running a mile my feet would hurt. Felt like I was running in plastic shoes.returned them after 30 days.

I absolutely loved my Clifton 5s (I ran my first marathon in them), but the Clifton 6s have given me terrible blood blisters and do not feel as cushioned. I thought I could easily move to the Clifton 6 from the Clifton 5 but this was not the case. I wish they had never changed the Clifton.

Very soft footbed, but no support whatsoever - I used to love Hokas but these left me lame after one day!

An attractive, lightweight shoe but the fitting was odd for me, too long in overall length and too narrow in the toe box. Probably best for someone with narrow, normal feet (no arch problem, bunion etc).

I got these shoes LESS THAN 4 MONTHS AGO... and the bottom of the shoes are completely falling apart! I really liked them to begin with and I could tell they helped support my whole body (shin splints got better once I started wearing them). But I am so annoyed that I invested in such an expensive pair of shoes that can't even last me half a year.

I starting wearing Clifton 4 and 5s a while back to help alleviate issues I've had with PF. These models were amazing and have allowed me to get back into running after some time PF-induced off. I went to order a new pair of Clifton 5s after hitting the 300 mile mark on my old pair and could not find them in my size anywhere because of the 6 update. I figured that the 6 couldn't be that different from the 4 and 5, so I ordered a pair. I wore them for about 10 miles of running and starting experiencing some IT band issues. Hoka was amazing about the return process and I managed to snag a pair of knit Clifton 5s that were on sale. However, when I buy my next pair of shoes I doubt I'll be able to find any Clifton 5s. I wish that Hoka would continue to stock their older model since the 6s seem to be quite different. I will say the one thing I liked about the Clifton 6s were the all white option, please continue to offer this for other shoes in the future !

The Clifton 5 fit me perfectly. I have problem feet after 4 surgeries on my right foot and recurring bone spurs. The Clifton 5 was the perfect shoe for me. Hoka must have a new vendor. The 6 doesn't even come close to the same comfort and is too small and too narrow. What a disappointment. I ordered Bondi 6 in 8.5 wide and these work. But still not as comfortable as the Clifton 5 was. Why do shoe companies have to change something that was great to begin with?

The sneaker was to wide and felt very 'heavy'. Not a good running sneaker, to cumbersome and awkward. Felt like I was wearing these heavy clunkers. Slowed down my run.

I am a nurse who works on my feet 10-13 hours a day.
I purchased these in hope that they would be as cushioned in the front part of the shoe like the HOKA Clifton 3 are. I was greatly disappointed that they were not, so I returned them the next day. I own several pairs of HOKA Clifton 3, but they are hard to find now and when I do find them, they're used. PLEASE bring the HOKA Clifton 3's back!!
Nothing compares to them.

With all the positive reviews on this brand of shoes, I really wanted them to work for me, as I have had major foot surgeries and need a great pair of walking shoes. Sadly, these are not to be them, and I returned them today.
I purchased one half size down, as several reviewers suggested. The fit was okay. For a D width, they seemed a bit narrow compared to other
wide shoes I have ordered in the past. I thought the shoe quality was very poor, especially for the price. There was a small amount of cushioning in the left shoe, but in the right shoe, I could feel the underlying hard shoe structure , especially around the outside. There was absolutely no cushioning in the right shoe. This shows poor quality control. I feel that this is a grossly overpriced, poorly made shoe.

Use daily, 5 miles a day, seven days a week. Some day extra miles. Have worn Clifton since they came out. I have owned evey #. The 6 is much wider than previous models. I returned the shoe, purchased a size down. Still wide but better. I am very disappointed in the wider toe - box and that there are no longer stores close to me that carry the Hoke One One.

I wish I could keep wearing these shoes. But the regular width was way too wide for my slightly narrow feet. My feet moved around in them way too much no matter how tightly I laced them, and I got blisters on the bottom of my feet every time I ran in them. I tried new socks, inserts, body glide, etc. Nothing helped. I went back to my old Brooks (which are helpfully sold in narrow widths), and voila! No more blisters! Please start making your shoes in narrow widths, and I'll buy them in a heartbeat!

I have three pair of Clifton 4s. They are great. The Clifton 6 is a totally different shoe.
The uppers have little support and the sole is way too flexible! I have hallux rigidus and have been so happy with my prior Cliftons. The 6 doesn't fit well, the sole bends unlike the prior shoes and hurts my feet.
I'm so disappointed!
