My husband and I both love the Hoka brand and its the only running she we buy anymore. I love my old Clifton 5 shoes and was ready for the new ones, so ordered Clifton 6. I feel there was a huge design change and it changed also the way the shoe fits. I miss the arch contact very much!! PLEASE BRING BACK THE ARCH in CLIFTON 7!!! The Clifton 5 provides such good arch contact and the shoe "cradles your foot" just right and more ergonomically than Clifton 6. Also I feel that there is less stability in the step as the soles of Clifton 6 feel squishier and more marshmallowy than Clifton 5. Whoever wants the marshmallow feel of walking on clouds has an option to buy Bondi, but I was looking for a bit more moderate stability in Cliftons. The shoe seems to run about a half size bigger than my Clifton 5 and I find the toe box overly spacious. I like space in the toe box and have a regular foot, so normally I order a regular width, but Clifton 6 is a bit too roomy (TALL and Wide) to the point that it does not seem to provide a lot of support to the front of the foot. The Clifton 5 was just about the perfect amount of toe space - not tight hugging but also not too loose. I know it depends on an individual person, but in my opinion Clifton 6 is just a bit too tall and too wide. Please consider adjusting model 7 back to be closer to the fit of the Clifton 5 which are very popular! On the positive side - Love the fun color choices of Clifton 6 tand love the look and appearance. Cute shoes!! If only did they still have that comfortable feel of the arch support and a bit more stability.

Awful for my foot. Too bad I wore it 2x thinking they would work themselves in.

Not enough support all the way around the shoe for me. Also I have very narrow heels so the heel part of the shoe was allowing room for my heel to move and that has caused me blisters in the past with other brands of shoes.

I walk every day. These shoes have not held up well in the sole. Big disappointment as they are probably one of the more comfortable pairs of athletic shoes that I've had.

These shoes felt good for about the first 50 miles and then it was like they wore out already and there wasn't any cushion left. Hoka 3s were great and I keep hoping they will be great again but I think I'm giving up.

I have been wearing Hokasfor the last couple of years & swear by their helpfulness to control my planters fasciitis, this pair though seems a little big. I wear between a10 & a 10.5, so I ordered the size 10 and I do have a bit more room than I normally do. My feet still pretty good but I do need to tie them extra tighter because of the spare room in them.

I really liked my shoes when they arrived, but needed a half size smaller. The return process was extremely complicated because of computer system upgrades at Hoka that caused me to be unable to log in to my account. Finally I called and got return authorization. It took a long time for the shoes to get to California and they were difficult to track. Finally got the smaller shoes, only to see that one has a sort of scuff on the black trim, and one of the shoelaces is about a foot longer than the other one. I've kept them, partly because I like them, and partly because I don't want to hassle with another return. I ordered direct because I couldn't find my size in what I wanted locally and because I could return them if I needed to. But the length of time for the return, the lack of tracking ability, and the fact that it looks like I got irregular shoes to replace my too big ones, means I will look locally if I want another pair. I will not be buying direct on line again.

Didn't last long . I wear them to work . Didn't last but 3 months . The sole started coming apart . And they were not as comfortable as the Clifton 5.

I'm a nurse and bought the shoes for work. Initially I was impressed. They were very comfortable during 12 hr shifts. However 3 months later my feet were aching half way thru my shifts. I ended up buying Dr. Scholls insoles to replace the original ones. That solved the problem-- but was expecting more from such an expensive shoe.

These shoes run very large...ordered half size larger...spent time breaking in, and still have blisters....will not be able to wear these shoes, for the walk/run purposes I had intended...dissappointing at over $100.00!

I have found that I cannot wear these to run in. The heel "pocket" or "cup" for lack of a better term, does not suit me. I find that my lower back hurts after I've run in them. Such a bummer because I had heard great things about this model from a runner friend.

I purchased these shoes to do my long runs in as I am training for a half marathon. I initially got the 8.5 and it felt a little long. I ordered an 8 and that was too shortl so I went back to the 8.5. However even with the 8.5 the length is a bit long and pinches on the side of my left foot. Maybe a wide would work better. But my heel is also loose in these shoes, too so maybe these shoes just aren't for me. The cushioning is great which is why I would still recommend them to others. Just can't find the right fit for me.

The fit was not as expected. I ordered a Sz 9 instead of 9.5, since reviews said they ran large and they were still too large. Also toe box is quite large in general and the arch support dug into my foot as too narrow or high at that point of foot. My niece with high arches tried them and said that part of shoe felt great, and agreed the toe box is for someone with a really thick forefoot. Hope this helps someone else.

I wanted to love these shoes and with the Zappos runners guarantee, gave them a weekend whirl. Not for me. I felt like I was rocking back on my heels and the pull up the back of my legs was awful. Sadly, these went back. Cute though!

I usually wear a 7 shoe, but wear 7.5 in athletic shoes. I bought the 7 in the Hoka but could have sized down to a 6.5. I wore them for a long time the first day and had discomfort in the left shoe arch. I tried adjusting the insole and that has helped a bit. I find them comfortable but have had much more cushiony insoles in Brooks shoes.

The Clifton 5 was perfect for my high arches. The 6? Not so much. Clearly there are those that prefer the 6 and those that prefer the 5. Why can't you offer both so everyone is happy and you sell more shoes? Please don't say that you have Hoka 5's available on sale. There are no normal sizes left and you are just trying to offload the remnants of your inventory.

I always buy Hokas Cliftons, but the 5 and 6 are giving me major blisters on the sides of the ball of my feet. I thought maybe it was just the 5's but last week I got Hoka 6 and the same thing is happening. Did they change the Hoka's 5 and 6's because I am so sad. It is not a size problem. They fit perfect.

I wanted to love these, they were my first Hokas. They just felt so strange! I am loyal to Brooks but the Ghost 12 was too narrow in the toe. These fit well, plenty of cushion and lots of room in the toe but the took my neutral foot and made it roll out. It ended up hurting on the outside where there was so much pressure. I couldn’t imagine running in them at all. Had to return. For reference I wear a 9 in Brooks and also ordered a 9 in this shoe.

I am a huge fan of the bondi6 but was curious to see how this style felt. I am a walker not a runner and I didn’t feel the Clifton gives me the same support and stability as the bondi6

Nothing special about this shoe. Has neither the cushion or support of the Clifton 4. I wore the Clifton 4 for yearsmost comfortable shoe I wore in decades!! Why don't they keep a good thing???

This shoe is enormous. I have been trying to replace what was the perfect running shoe...Hoka Instinct 2 in which I was an 8.5. This shoe felt like a 9.5.

I have worn many Cliftons and the 5 was by far my favourite! This one just doesn't give me the feeling I had from the 5's. I have high arches and I believe the 6 is flatter. That may be why I enjoyed the 5 with a little bit more arch support. I hope you bring it back!

I have been a Nike girl for YEAS - so many years of running in fact that I need a little more these days. I LOVED the Clifton 4 and 5 as well as the Speedgoat - I am hooked on HOKA but these new 6's are way too soft. I sink in and get get back up. It made my already grumpy Achilles even more upset. I am now on a quest to find a replacement. :(
