Have only logged four runs, but you can feel the carbon plate propel you forward in midsole. Super lightweight. I'm not sure yet I could commit to marathon, but definitely a half. lol forward to a race! #AGTriathlete

This is a great speed shoe. It's the most responsive runner I've ever used. Great combination of responsiveness and cushioning. The carbon plate gives great returns and the foam prevents the shoe from feeling too stiff. Great for speed workouts on the road or the track.

Ive been training and racing in Hoka's for many years. These new Hoka's seem faster than previous models and will continue to race in them. However, the tongue is short and thin, not easy to grab for a seamless speedy foot entry during a triathlon. Other than that, it seems to be a revolutionary performance running shoe

This was my second pair of hokas. First I'm still running in speed goats, mostly trail.. decided to get the carbon x for 5k-70.3 races and the occasional short prep run. Was worried since I always had support shoes, but with the X I added my orthotics and ran a 10k race with no issues shoe felt fantastic I'm a size 13 and semi wide feet. Would not be my daily but love these as my race go-to's.

Absolutely love these shoes. They are soft, yet springy. Feels like they propel me forward with every step. I tend to feel like I am "sinking" in my Bondi's. These are nothing like that. Light and responsive. Closest thing to "self-running shoes" that I have ever used. My absolute favorite shoes.

Ran 6 miles out of the box. Took a mile or two to get used to the stiffness. And that, not really a problem. I'm not an extreme heel striker, so I didn't experience any difficulties at all.

Finally... after years of asking Hoka to make a shoe like the original, they've done it. Now don't change it... excellent excellent shoe. Now in can add more miles without hurting and shorter recovery.

Please add reflective makings on the shoe for night Runners visibility is a must at nights. Please add more colors. Please offer two shoe inserts one for Training Days which is thicker and the other thinner for Races. Otherwise Hoka has a winner here.

I remember when I first tried on the Clifton 1's and I say to myself, these shoes are special! I've been through many Hoka's as well as other brands of shoes between now and then and I can finally once again say that Hoka really got these shoes right! The weight, feel, comfort, it all just works. All I can hope for is that the next few version's of these don't ruin the greatness.

I've been wearing my grey Bondi's for 3 years. They have outlasted Wolverine, Red Wing and many other name brands. I get comfort, durability and dry feet. They were made for running.....but I've never done things by the book. They are the best work shoes I have ever had!!

I switched out of the Nike Vaporfly and changed into a new pair of the the CarbonX at mile 50 of the Badwater 135, and ran the remaining 85 miles with zero issues. Knowing what I know now, I would have worn the CarbonX for all 135 miles.

This shoe is great, it's the perfect balance of hoka's traditional plush shoes, and a great amount of speed thanks to the carbon plate.

The first show I've ever worn that allows me to go 28 miles per week without having to take pain killers at night for hip pain, amazing. I switched back to my Brooks, and after one walk I was back on Mobic. Amazingly stable for a show with virtually no rigid heel counter. Silent on the road, the tread makes no more noise than moccasins in the forest. I did replace the laces on both my pairs as the OEM laces were flat cotton and had no grip in the knot. Fleet Feet in Savannah GA introduced these to me, and allowed my to return a pair of Bondis' that were too pronating.

This is seriously the best training shoe, check that, running shoe, I have ever had. Four decades and seventeen marathons and trail races and track races and triathlons, and aqua runs, and I certainly have tested much between my body and the ground. I would love this technology in a dress shoe as I have to wear shoes at work and I am on my feet much.

I have been training with Clifton 5 and Clifton 6. After trying the Carbon X, I decided that it is going to be my preferred shoe for my first marathon. Carbon X is ultra light weight and fits me very well. I wish there were more colour combinations available.
