I tried this shoe out yesterday at my local running store and compared it with the Clifton 6. The Rincon has a TON of cushion for the weight and felt pretty similar to the Clifton underfoot (just far lighter). I also really liked the upper - really breezy, supple, and lightweight. I think this shoe would keep your feet far cooler/drier than the Clifton. In terms of fit, I thought the Rincon and the Clifton felt pretty much identical. I would have easily purchased this shoe if it came in a wide, but unfortunately they don't right now. That's the one drawback - PLEASE make this shoe in a wide! I don't think I have a wide foot and have never had to get wide shoes in any brand, however I have had to get a wide in the Clifton because of the slightly narrow toe box that leaves hot spots on the base of my little toe. Sadly, the Rincon felt like it was going to be the same story. Hoka, it seemed like you created another great shoe, just make it available in wide so that those of us that can't handle the restrictive toe box can join the party!

I should start this by saying i'm big for a runner (6'3'' 205lbs) so my wear on a shoe may be a more aggressive than most. I LOVE the shoe right out of the box. I use it as my daily trainer which for me puts it at 15-20 miles/week. I have just under 60 miles on them now and as a mid-foot striker i'm seeing a lot of wear on the exposed midsole just proximal to the outsole rubber on the forefoot. I expected some of this when i purchased them but it is going much faster than expected. The cost is lower than many other high cushioned, light weight trainers, so a slightly shorter life span is acceptable in my opinion. However what is really dropping the score for me is that the negative space under the heal (i assume to cut weight) has weakened in this time to the point that the sides flex out and i feel it squeezing the sides of my heels now. Doesn't make a huge impact when running (at least while my form is still good) but walking in them is now uncomfortable and that sacrifice in experience is not worth the loss of weight on the shoe to me and i think i'm done with them now. For a lighter weight runner, this may not be an issue which is why i'd still recommend the shoes because they really delighted me up front.

Nice shoe, but countless reviews on Homs being too narrow. I wish you would listen.
Not going to work for me!

After running for about 15 days, I notice that the shoe has developed peeling on the bottom sole. This does not bode well for long term prospect of the shoe.

While these shoes are very light weight while having very good cushioning, within three uses the mesh head stretch to the point where I was tying the laces beyond normal tension to allow for further stretching. After wearing many models and styles ofHok while these shoes are very light weight while having very good cushioning, within three uses the mesh head stretch to the point where I was tying the laces beyond normal tension to allow for further stretching. This also allows for excessive lateral movement in the arch, even though the sizing is correct. After wearing many models and styles of Hoka shoes, they remain my brand but these are disappointing. I don't wish to return them but I will not order this model again.

Being an older (52) runner and heavier than I should be, I'm finding these shoes are not made for me and my running style. I'm coming off the Hoka One One Arahi 2 and am a long time mid foot striker. These shoes feel so much lighter than the Arahi 2, but I find the cushioning throughout the Arahi 2 to be more sufficient for me. When I pick up my speed in either shorter runs or even longer runs, my forefoot seem to feel more tender than the rest of the foot. This might just be because I'm heavier. Maybe the correct shoe for me are the Clifton 6 (since I don't really need a stability shoe). I'll have to run a little longer with them to fully make up my mind.

This is my second pair of Rincons. It's an excellent shoe on the whole, but I gotta knock it pretty hard on durability and quality control. I got 360 miles out of my first pair before the midsole started to pancake, which I think is a decent amount of wear for how light they are (the outsole was shredded from very early on, but no biggie). I was hoping to similarly take these up to 350400 mi, but the upper is totally dissolving at 250 miles. I have always worn normal width shoes and have never had problems with the upper coming apart, and it's not that I'm tearing it per se, the material itself is just kind of disintegrating. An upper really shouldn't be having these problems so early. I have Challengers, Cliftons, and the Carbon X and none of them have had this problem. Same goes for my other brand shoes. There's a lot I love about the Rincons, but I think this upper material is just weak.

Narrow shoe, especially in the toe box. Cushion is minimal. Not the "Hoka" experience I've read about, for sure. Insole is thin and feels like it's not there, and is glued in. I actually thought the insole was missing because the show feels so off putting. Feels like I pulled an old Air Pegasus out of the back of my closet, removed the insoles, and went for a run.
On the plus side: it is light, good looking, and seems well made. It might be a good shoe to run races in, if it were wider. Does better on concrete and asphalt than other surfaces.
Not a shoe I would recommend.

I have to stop every 2 miles because the toe box is so tight, it feels like my toes are being squeezed together. The shoes are light and feel nice but this is a big problem for me. I buy all my running shoes in 12.5 and have never had this issue before. Also, this might just be an issue with my running style but these shoes have been giving me so much Achilles pain, something I've never had before and I'm a seasoned runner.

I've had these shoes for 3.5 months. They started off awesome. Very comfortable. Fit well. Lots of cushion. But 3.5 months in and I've got all of the same problems, if not more, than I had with Saucony Kinvaras in various versions. This might not have shocked me, except when my Kinvaras used to wear down, it was after near daily 3-5 mile sessions with interval sprints. But I've only recently started running again after years of break. My workouts are one 3-4 mile run per week at a moderate pace, plus a daily walk around the block. This was enough in less than 4 months to wear down the soft cushion on the bottom of the shoes and to rip holes on the inner foot area. For over $100 I expected these to last at least six months, so I'm pretty disappointed that I'll need to buy a new pair soon. Needless to say, it probably won't be Hoka One One brand and definitely not the Rincons. Cushion and comfort are great, but I need shoes that can go to work.

I find that the edges of my feet end up landing on the edge of the insole& the wall of the shoe. A very annoying feeling that I need to over-correct on the next stride. Feels like the shoe is huge yet I have this problem- almost a contradiction. I really want to love them but this issue pops up a few times a run.

Good looking shoe. At about mile 50 the shoe started to hurt my right foot by my pinky toe. As if the shoe all of a sudden became too narrow. Threw on another pair of running shoes and the hurt went away. Really liked the shoe and wanted it to work so I gave them a few more runs. At mile 86 in 12 runs, I decided I had enough and returned shoes. NOTE: LEFT SHOE FELT GREAT! This was my first pair of HOKAONEONE. Scared to try another pair. :(

Bought the Rincon's from a local running store. Saw great reviews. At first they felt great, but after about 3 weeks, I noticed the left shoe leaning more towards the right. When I am running, my left foot seems to invert, putting more pressure on the medial side of my left shoe, and making for an uncomfortable run. This has NEVER happened before with any shoe. I ran in Brooks Launch for years and decided to give this a try.I am about 6ft tall, weigh 182lb. I run daily and consider myself an experienced runner, putting in at least 35+ miles/week. With the Rincon 2 set to come out later this summer, I dont see myself giving it a try and will likely go back to my brooks.

Got these shoes and put about 60 miles on them. The blue tread is already wearing down and starting to tear. The are definitely a comfortable shoe but likely won't even make it to 200 miles.

Gave them a shot for a couple weeks. Huge blister on my left foot. My right heel starts hurting halfway through the run as well. Sadly will have to go back to my old running shoes for my next run.

I tested Hoka Hoka One against the pair of Asics I've been using for years, because I had heard of their good reputation and I was training for the LA 2020 Marathon. I used them for one or two 5-10 mi runs, and wasn't impressed with the much-promoted shock absorption/cushioning. They look cool, but not sure how well they perform. I may have been applying a higher level of scrutiny because I have a bias toward my existing shoe, and I also was due to run a marathon in two weeks from the date that they arrived at my house (shipping took longer than expected), but I'm not sold yet on Hoka Hoka One

Soft shoes. I use it for occasional running because I'm having achilles tendinitis whenever i use it. When i use my clifton,i feel ok. Maybe it's me or maybe it's the shoes.

I am a pretty avid runner and got these shoes on march 30 and had 20 miles on them within a few days. As I went to put them on I pulled the tongue up as I normally do when putting shoes on and the tongue separated from the bottom of the shoe. I am very disapointed to say the least.

Stepped into the Rincon and immediately felt the rib of mid sole EVA pinching my arch. It's like I was standing on it. I actually had to look in the shoe to see if I left some packaging material in there. Toes and forefoot had plenty of room though.

The problem is the shoe is narrow in the heel and mid section, so it pinches at the front of the heal. Very uncomfortable, and unlike any other Hoka I have had (original Clifton, Stintson air, Bondi)
