It is not narrow enough in the heel! You have been cheating up for several years now. I mean the heels are getting wider and there is significant slippage unless I wear very thick socks. Even then they can slip. Also, why do you have to make them look like old lady orthopaedic shoes? Why cant you make them look more sporty with some fun color choices? I have a very difficult time finding shoes that really fit my narrow heeled feet. Yours have consistently been the best and most comfortable until the last few years. Please review the sizing and make the walking shoes as appealing as the running shoes.

I liked the look of the shoe and the structure, but it felt heavy and clunky on my foot and the famous Brooks cushion wasn't there. I needed these shoes for work where I am on feet for 8-hour shifts, so the cushion is key. I also felt like the shoes weren't as flexible or movable with my foot as I walked, but that could be part of the structure. Bottom line, I did not keep them. As an aside, I love Brooks return policy - makes me continue to try things with them.

Good shoe but not as supportive as I thought. I like the arch support but not enough on heel

From a runners perspective, these are probably fantastic shoes. Ive walked quite a ways in them and theyre great. On the contrary, I got them as work shoes for food service.
It says slip resistant in the description, but I dont trust them to keep me from falling on damp floors. Its also a bit difficult to get things out of the grooves on the bottom of the shoes. Ive attempted to do so with a hose at work, but will have to go after them with toothpicks to get the lions share out.
Theyre also way snugger than Im used to, but thats probably because I usually wear loose shoes without much for padding. I get used to the feeling as the day goes on, but in the future Id opt for more the wider option than the regular.

My favorite shoe! Ive been wearing these for 5 years every single day. They do wear out quicker than I would like them to (I get about a year give or take out of a pair) but I walk a lot as a college student on campus.
I have nerve and tendon issues in my legs and have issues walking long distances but these shoes make walking comfortable. My absolute favorite.

I like the sole of the shoe. The shoe itself is stiff , and very hot to wear. Need to work on this shoe. You can't wear the shoes everyday , or your feet feel raw from being so hot.

I've had about 10 pairs of Brooks, but this pair is squeaking. What can I do do get rid of the noise? I am 93 and walk alot but don't run.

I have been ordering Brooks shoes for the past 10 yrs and have never had any issue with them. This last order made on June 9th was done specifically for a upcoming trip where there would be a lot of walking. During the trip I felt that the shoes were too small for my feet causing a lot blistering and toe pain. I didn't use the shoes before the trip so I thought the break-in was the cause. When I got home, I realized that they sent me a Women's shoe instead of Men's Size 12 Extra Wide - EE. The shoes sent were Size 12 Extra Wide - EE but they were sized for Women. Am currently working with Brooks to see what can be done.

I absolutely love these shoes. I have had problems all my life finding shoes that fit properly snd are comfortable until I was referred to Brooks by my Orthopedic surgeon. I had to buy a new pair since my old ones were looking pretty bad, but theyre still good for yard and garden work. I am a Brooks customer for life.

This Brooks wasnt for me. First try on felt great but the longer the shoe stayed on, the tighter the toe bed became to the point I couldnt wait to get the shoe off. It may have been due to the leather and lack of any air flow and my feet swelling slightly while walking? Not sure but I had to return them. Brookss great return policy will keep me buying their shoes!

I love Brooks. I have great running shoes from them and was hoping to find a great and comfortable work (slip resistant) shoe from them as well. Unfortunately this was not it for me.
The shoe is all leather and is very sturdy. The slip resistance is not up to par to use behind a bar/food service environment, you will slip. Additionally, while they are very sturdy they take a LOT to break in to actually be able to move with your feet comfortably. I was in more pain than usual at the end of my shift every weekend day which I was hoping a great pair of Brooks would alleviate. These are not like their running shoes. If you do order these and already have a pair of Brooks, size up a half size.

Ive been wearing aAddiction Walker for 15+ years. Previous purchase not happy with. The material is no longer leather its plastic and squeaks when I walk. This was the only sneaker that accommodated my foot issues. Now Im tasked at finding a new sneaker. Customer service at Dicks in Woodbridge NJ needs improving. Especially when the customer is a senior citizen. The addiction walker kept my feet stable and in motion. Running shoe was recommended by my podiatrist for flat feet.

I have been wearing the Addiction walkers (Only shoe I wear) since 2007. At some point (years ago) Brooks changed the design of the sole/tread. This new sole design is at minimum, annoying. 1) There is no longer any traction due to the tight design cuts. There may as well be a smooth sole. Slipping/sliding is more common than before the sole change. 2)The design now picks up any and all sand granules that are on trails and sidewalks. These tiny granules that get stuck in the treads scratch hardwood floors like sand paper (Thanks Brooks!) .
After 16 years 2023 is the last year I will be purchasing Brooks. Why the sole design was changed?

I need the support provided by the shoe, but it is very masculine looking, and they are quite heavy. I am finding myself saying, OK, but I am not delighted.

Im used to Ghost 14 and this is firmer than that. Its not bad, just not as cushioned as I thought it would be. Still good support for me as Im recovering from a torn Achilles.

This is a very good, quality shoe. It unfortunately did not work for me. I really like the arch support and heel support. The shoe is pretty and yes, it does squeak, but honestly, I wouldn't care about that if it were comfortable. For me though, I think they are a bit "over corrective". My knees and hips start to hurt after a while of wearing them. I think it changes my gait too much. They also are on the hard side. I'm sure they work for many, but not for me. Thank you, Brooks, for your phenomenal trial period and customer service.
