Regrettably, after many years this is my last pair of Addiction Walkers. I took a chance with them even after reading reviews of the design and fit deterioration of the 2 over the originals, and these are a distinct disappointment. The toe box seems smaller, and the construction material seems inferior. I've been wearing this pair for walking for five months and they still show no sign of being broken in. The biggest negative for me is the new insole - thin and minimally supportive compared to the original Walkers. Fortunately I have the insoles from an older pair, and they make the shoes more wearable. The soles, however, may have greater grip than the originals, as the tread is deeper and more complex. I've already begun looking for a replacement for the Addiction Walker 2.

My review really does not reflect on the brook brand. It just so happened that this tennis shoe was too cramped for my toes. With regards to returning the shoe customer service was excellent. Very easy. I have since ordered the Brook Ariel. I've worn it for two days now and absolutely love it. My toes have plenty of room to move.

I was looking for a light-weight shoe with good structure. I have worn Brooks running shoes for many years, and thought a walking she would bethe right shift. I found the shoes large, heavy and stiff, so I sent them back without wearing them.

The Addiction 2 resembles the original Addiction Walker in name only. The new version fits differently: narrower toe box, Different fit in the heel causing heels to slip, fully padded tongue, fully padded insole. Not the firm support of the original Addiction. The new version is nothing like the original version. I returned them. A true disappointment. I wore the original version for years and could just mail order replacements when I needed them. Now I have to find a new work shoe. The new Addiction 2 reminds me of the old Reebok ?princess? tennis shoe. This is a true disservice to loyal fans of the original Addiction. It would have been more accurate to simply rename this new shoe and discontinue the original addiction walker.

Bought several shoes from Brooks not satisfied this time. Wear a size 8 always buy 81/2 this time the right shoe seems a little short. Won?t buy again at that price.

Did not like this shoe, returned it. Did not like the leather, or the new insole. Very dissatisfied with this new shoe.

The fit was perfect but they were really heavy and didn't breath. I ended up returning them and purchasing the Adrenaline which is awesome.

I have worn these shoes for over 20 years. They were recommended by my podiatrist. So, when I ordered the new version I thought they would be the same support, etc. They are in no way the same shoe. I had to change to another one. Which, by the way are not as good either. I actually went to a new podiatrist yesterday. She told me she only wears Brooks shoes. But, she said the same thing about the new addictions. They do not have the same support. She recommended another brand. Which I do not like. The new ones are to narrow. So, Brooks, I wish you would still carry your old design also. For people like us who have problems with our feet.

You ruined the shoe by adding fluffy padding to the insole. We want the original addiction back.

I have worn the Addiction Walker in the past and it was a very comfortable shoe. I bought my usual size (7.5 D) and was very disappointed. They were small in length and width. They were not comfortable at all. I was very disappointed in this new addition.

The shoes are horrible. They have a hard sole which is very uncomfortable to walk on and the shoe is heavy. I will be returning them. I walk a lot at work and the shoes make my back hurt.

Very disappointed with Brooks. These were my favorite shoe. I have bone spurs, flat feet and hallux limitus. As you can imagine I have a hard time finding a good supportive walking shoe. These shoes feel very hard on the feet, and my foot slips out the back and they just do not feel good. The first time I put the older addiction walker on it was fantastic. These, not so much. Very uncomfortable shoe. I do not understand why these shoe companies keep changing the shoe styles. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a good supportive shoe to wear and I don't know how I am going to continue my daily walks with some.

I have worn the Addiction version for many years and never had a speck of trouble with them. Always the same fit (8.5 N) and the same great support for walking 4 to 5 miles a day. The new version, however, had to be ordered in a 9 N and is now causing a problem with my left ankle as there does not seem to be the same support as the previous version. I am very bummed as it is so hard to find comfortable sneakers. Wish you hadn't messed with a good thing. The old version was fine. You had a good thing going. Am considering returning them and trying other brands for better quality support.

I have plantar fasciitis and this is the only shoe I can wear. I cannot wear the new version of this shoe because of the way it fits around the ankle. I was able to find the old style on another site, but I hope you will bring back the old design.

I am so glad these came back in my size. I always have 2 pairs as I walk to work in these almost everyday.

The redesign does not work for me. Specifically, the back of the upper shoe rubs on the back of my ankle. The 2 protrusions are placed closer together than on the original version. I'm very disappointed and now I'm at a loss for shoes that fit me. New is definitely not better.

I have had many pairs of Addiction walkers and have liked all of them, because they did not bounce around like tennis shoes. I received my 2020 walkers yesterday. These are so bouncy that after two hours, I had pain in my leg and ankle. The material of these shoes on the upper side acts like a barrier so your feet cannot breathe. I cannot recommend these shoes, therefore cannot give a star. Disappointed!
