Based upon reviews I bought wide and I'm glad that I did, otherwise my bunion would not fit. The shoes are heavier than I expected and kind of stiff, as many reviews state. They also aren't "cushy"; I had to add a 3/4 insole to help. I have worn the shoes on walks for about 30 miles now and my pace is noticeably slower than normal - I'm figuring that is due to the weight of the shoes. They're too expensive not to wear, so I'm determined to accept the additional weight as an additional workout aspect. I'm glad I bought the wide version as it does successfully accommodate my needs and I hope to get many, many miles out of these shoes, but I do silently wish that they soften up a little.

had to return the shoe. it was very tight, even at a size 2X. Also it was smaller than i wanted. For an 11 1/2 it was too tight in length and

Bought these March and didn't start wearing them until April and by June 13th both soles had come apart. So, if you are walking around a lot I do not recommend these. I got roughly 11 weeks out of them. Otherwise, I liked the look and feel

Thanks, Brooks designers, for keeping a leather shoe in your line up. This shoe is supportive when on your feet for many hours at a time. Also they are easier to keep clean and sharp looking than fabric shoes. And they stay drier when walking in wet grass, etc. Narrow shoes are much more comfortable than trying to make do with medium widths. The Adrenalines I purchased at the same time are nice and comfortable for shorter periods only. The GTS leaked like a sieve walking in wet grass. My feet we completely wet within steps. And they are difficult to keep clean. Ill buy Addictions again.

Overall shoe very stiff, may loosen up with wear. Leather feels more like plastic than leather. Not the comfortable walker I used to buy. I have only worn the shoes twice, however, as I said they may loosen and become more comfortable with more wear. I wear an 11.5 shoe with medium width. These are a bit tight in the toe box. Also need a shoe horn to get them on. My suggestion, go back to your old design.

Did not fit particularly well and is not especially comfortable, compared to older versions that I have bought over the years. In addition, these shoes make a terrible squeaking noise when you walk, and it's not worth waiting to see if the noise fades with time. I returned them.

these shoes are very stiff! Hoping once they are broken in, they will be more comfortable.

These have too little cushion in the heel for me. My lower back is completely fused and I found these hurt my back.

These sneakers look like nurse’s shoes. They’re comfortable but not the style I want.

Have used this style for over 20 yrs--need the extra toe space! I don't run, just use for every day use. Newer ones seems to have more "rubbery" feel, rather the leather. Still recommend for older adults that need row space.

I love Brooks. These shoes are not my favorite Brooks, but they get the job done. Im a transit driver and wanted the stiff soles and sneaker comfort these shoes provide. My only complaints are the soles are rather slick and the shoes squeak a bit. I think these shoes are generally marketed to older folks who might find the slickness a liability. When I come in from outside and the soles are wet, I have zero traction on the tile floor in my building lobby. LikeZERO traction, even when I wipe my feet thoroughly. If my shoes are wet, I wont have traction on bike pedals either. I bought these shoes so they could transition from work to workout/bike commute, and they do that reasonably well, but beware that you could slide across the floor and potentially fall if your shoes are wet. And they squeak. Ive been happy with all my other Brooks purchases and love that their workout clothes are size inclusive.

I owe three pairs of sneakers and I'm very happy with them however that is my first leather one and I don't really care for them that much. They feel heavy and two loose even though I ordered the same size that I ordered before. After couple weeks of wearing them they started to squeak hopefully that will go away.

I use this shoe as a mail carrier and its perfect material for my job but it definitely lacks some comfort. I thought it would be a little more comfortable being that it is a running shoe. Would buy it again for work purposes.

The shoes are great but I ordered the size I wear in the fabric shoes and the leather is less flexible and are too small. I tried breaking them in but they are just too small. If I order leather again I will size up at least 1/2 a size,

I bought the Addiction Walker 2 in white yesterday. This is my 6th pair of Brooks and I have loved every pair. However, these hurt my feet. I walked 2.5 miles yesterday and have blisters and lots of pain. I always wear an 8.5 medium size but now I wonder if I needed a different size or width. After total ankle reconstruction, the Brooks brand is my first choice of shoes. I am very active walking up to four miles a day and playing pickleball. I have never had this brand to hurt my feet. The store will not take them back either.

I'm glad I got a wide, they are a little snug! They are also very noisy! When I walk, everyone at work can hear me coming!! I bought them as my doctor suggested Brooks for my problematic feet, overall they're comfortable with mt orthotic inserts, but not happy tall with the noise they are making! These are my first leather pair of Brooks, I don't think I would buy leather again!
