Comfortable shoe I work in food and don't think these shoes are slip resistant.

Feels like your walking on clouds! I literally had customers at work ask if Iv changed something because I have a pep in my step and seem so much more energetic. I said no, it?s just these amazing shoes!!! I?m on my feet for 10 hours a shift and my feet and knees are usually killing me. But not anymore!!!

Best sneaker I have worn........it holds the ankle snuggly and allows for better and longer walks. I hope this sneaker will come in beige. Thank you fo carting my size.

My right foot has a flat arch which causes me constant outside ankle pain. I needed a shoe that could really correct over pronation. Normally, a trip to the grocery store was enough to cause my ankle to get very stiff and ouch achy. Two days after getting the Addiction Walker 2, I went on a 1 1/2 mile walk. I still have pain but it never got above 3 out of 10. And it stayed at a 3 level for the entire walk. This is on a very chronically sore ankle that I plan on getting a cortisone shot for inflammation. I'm exploring other helps like an ankle brace, custom orthotics, etc., but this shoe is a keeper.

I?m not a runner, just work 9-10 hours a day on cement floors, lots of walking. I wanted a more sturdy shoe so I went with the leather one this time instead of the canvas ones. These shoes fit well, cushion well, just getting used to the stiffness around my ankles. I like them .

This is a solid built WALKING shoe. The leather top makes the support superior. The shoe is a bit hotter and less stylish than its non-leather top counterparts, but if solid support and longevity is what you are after in a walking shoe, this is it

Why don't you make this with more color options? To give them a more contemporary feel?

Currently a nursing student and starting to develop some plantar fasciitis. I needed some new all white leather shoes that were comfy and some arch support. Overall they are comfy but they are a little heavy/clunky. Definitely go up 1/2 a size as they run small and I learned that the hard way. I would purchase again

I am in between here and looking for an answer. I love the Brooks Dyad and that's the only sneaker I will wear! I have been wearing the Dyad for 14 years exclusively. I was looking for the Brooks Dyad walking shoe and have not been able to find it. So my question is this. Do you still make them? If not is this the replacement?
Thank you

This is an update to my March 5th review. I ordered a replacement, going up a size in both width and length. As other reviewers have said, they are now loose in the heel. I just don't understand the inconsistency in sizing compared to the Original Addiction. It was perfect. Brooks made a huge mistake in replacing it with this far inferior product. I will use them for now, as I don't want to deal with making yet another return and waiting weeks for a refund. But the next time I need new walking shoes, I will be forced to look elsewhere. Sorry Brooks, you just lost a 20 year customer.

Unfortunately, I am not a runner. However my podiatrist loves the way this shoe supports my feet. He wears Addition walker also.

The shoe was the Addiction Walker II, not a runner.
Addiction Walker II still does not measure up to the original Addiction Walker I. Especially noticeable is the lack of height in the heel as the Walker I had. Would I buy the Walker II again? No. Would I buy the Walker I, you bet I would! Brooks really needs to thing about bring the Walker II back.

I have worn this style for over 14 years, mostly for walking, and just every day wear. Obviously a good shoe for me!!I I had to get the updated 'Addiction 2' this time. I was a little disappointed with the new sole, as the sidewalk has been wet some mornings, and I felt the shoe slip. I am 69 and really don't need a fall, so I am hoping they will be OK next time it has rained ( living in Oregon this is common!). They are comfortable and I usually can get over a year of use out of them easily, as the all leather holds up well. I can easily wear them all day.

Very disappointed in this replacement of the Addiction Walker. I first started wearing the Addiction Walker almost 20 years ago upon the recommendation of my physical therapist when I first got orthotics. I have loved these shoes and they worked so well for me. I was crushed to see that they changed the design and not for the better. I saw a lot of people had the same compliants in the reviews. I called the company and spoke to a representative regarding my concerns and asked for advice regarding sizing, if I should go up a size and width. He said no, just go with the same size I had always gotten. Well, the shoes arrived last night, and sure enough, they are too short and extremely tight through the ball of my foot. I will return and go up a size and width, but sadly, if they don't fit right, I will have to find a different walking shoe. Brooks, you made a very poor decision in discontinuing the Original Addition Walker, and may lose a lot of customers because of it. You know what they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

These are the ONLY shoes that I wear 7 days a week(unless its summer time). My arches are completely flat and these shoes allow room for my arch supports and my feet and back don't hurt.

Love the fit and comfort. Helps my planter fasciitis, also. The reason I give 4 stars is the fact they only come in black and white, really now, us gals like pretty shoes and a choice of colors and design.
