I bought these shoes for use in a school kitchen where we need to wear slip resistant shoes. These shoes are not slip resistant. I wore them once and slipped twice on a slightly wet floor. These are the first "slip resistant" work shoes that have ever been that way in my 9 years of working in the school kitchen. Now that I wore them I can't return them or wear them to work!

This had a much narrower toebox than previous pairs I bougth years ago. The heel fit ok, but it was even snug in length. The overall cushioning was good, and the lacing had several securing straps on the tongue to keep it in place. The heel height was similar to my other athletic shoes and comfortable. I had to return it for cramping my toes and crowding my upper foot. My ritchie brace barely fit in, due to the low height of the leather over the toe area. Wish they would have kept the old design. Will try a different brand from now on.

I’ve worn running shoes for years. I don’t run. I walk 3-7 miles daily. I like these for comfort and support.

This shoe felt very stiff in the body of the shoe, the picture did not represent it properly and the weight of it felt very heavy but not in a good way. I returned it. It might be fine for someone else.

I felt it was a poor fit - I have worn Brooks for many years but not this style.

Very comfy but too much padding and too hot.

I used to love these shoes. Then Brooks changed their last, and the shoes shrank a half size. After a few years of avoiding them, I have returned, ordering a half size larger. They feel like the shoes I remember, though I am still annoyed with Brooks for mis-sizing their shoes. In brief: comfortable, supportive shoes, not too ugly--just order a half size larger.

Compared to the Adrenalines I wear, this shoe felt heavy, stiff, and narrow in the toe box.

Great looking shoes! But, they are too wide for my foot, particularly the heel width.

Too tight. Material too hard and rough.

Ordered two different pairs of Brooks shoes in the same size; neither fit. This pair was too short and the toe box was extremely wide for a shoe that was supposed to be narrow. The other pair was too long. I'm disappointed, as I have worn Brooks shoes for years and have always been happy with them.

Not enough support. I've used Brooks forever, but these just don't feel good.

The fit was perfect. But the shoe slipped on the tile floor as soon as I walked on it... so it is definitely not a certified slip resistant shoe IMO.

I've worn the Addiction Walker for probably 8-10 years. I have always worn them with medical orthotics (at $500 a pair) prescribed by my foot orthopedist for the severe arthritis in all the bones at the top of my feet. Like many people, I don't think the version 2 is as comfortable or effective as the original. Others I know have told me the same thing for these as well as other brands (e.g., New Balance) -- the subsequent versions are just plain inferior. For one thing, the toe box is less rounded. For the pairs I bought and kept this year (I had already kept a pair of them them in black 6 months ago and just started wearing the white), I went up a size from an 8.5 to 9.0 and from a D to a EE in width. To determine the best size and width I had ordered 4 different pairs, returning 3 and keeping only the 9.0 EE. These will have to do. I'm hoping they don't stretch out too quickly.

The fit was great, the look was great, the squeak in the left shoe -awful. I tried it on carpet and hard wood floors and it squeaked where ever I walked.

The fit was fine but the left shoe had a squeak in it. It squeezed on carpeted floors and hard floors. They were comfy but can’t handle the squeak.

I usually wear size 8.5, but need a 9 in this shoe. It’s very nice for walking. Looks great, cleans up easy. I love that I can get it in wide.

Fit was too big for me. I think I ordered the wrong size. The shoe felt fine just a kettle stiff.
