Shoe is great. Love the pure series. I've been running on levitates for about a year now and switching back to the pure was a little bit of a re-learning experience as the heel sits lower than the levitate and my heel contact was a little delayed comparatively. Not complaining. Great shoe

Once again I have no complaints with my Brooks purchase. I have worn Brooks for 7 years after staring Tri events in 2014. No other sneaker out of the box feel as great as a Brooks sneaker. Performance and durability is second to none.

I've thought for years that Brooks was changing too much, improving too little in some cases, fixing what wasn't broke in others, ruining fine designs in an effort to change. However, these shoes break that trend. When I bought them, I thought, 'This is it. If they don't feel right, I'm done with Brooks.' Well, they've been perfect.

Great shoe. Love the feel . Not too soft or spongy. Brooks should never have changed or dropped the Pure line. This is the closest they make to it now.

My running days are behind me so this is primarily a trail walking shoe. It fits well (1/2 size up) and has great movement through the mid-foot. My second pair of Pure Grit - had the last one for 3+ years.

I love this shoe. Makes trail running a lot easier on my body. Helps that you're able to keep up with pace too. I saw the different right away. Would buy again

I run about 30 miles/week, 85% on dirt and gravel, and I've put about 30 miles on these shoes. I like the traction and feel of these shoes on the trail, though this is the first shoe I've tried with such a low drop and such little cushioning. In fact, it is my first trail shoe. I have no issues with the thin heel cup and slippage mentioned in some reviews. I'm a size 12, and the size 12 fits me perfectly, despite some saying these run large. One reason I purchased these was Brook's generous return policy, but I cannot imagine that I'll be returning these.

First pair of Brooks sneakers and I'm very pleased! I've even recommended to coworkers. They'll be great for all my exercise.

After about 6 pairs of Cascadias over the years, I used brooks Shoe Finder and found True Grit. The last pair of Cascadia had a soft forefoot the seemed softer than previous models. As a general rule, when the forefoot softens, I buy new shoes. Along with feet forward, knee test, etc., a final test question asked about forefoot stiffness, and on selecting stiff, recommended the current model of True Grit. Love this shoe, great fit! Better than Cascadia and great feel. I recommend that you use True Fit.

I'm old and just use them at the gym but they look so cool! Work nicely too but lots of shoes do that. Also, the grey sole stay looking good longer than a white sole would. Everyone is envious. I think the pure air is a little easier to run in but it's close.

I was hesitant to buy because someone said the heel was constructed differently, and their foot was sliding out... Yes different construction, but no the heel is not sliding out. I would say it's "less secure" than what I've been used to from brooks in the Pure Flow series... but to be honest those had a lot of heel to them.
Great quality and style, more of a neutral shoe with some solid protection from impact.

I have owned a few series of the Pure Grit. This is my favourite by far. The shoe is adaptive for endurance races across multiple terrains. I found it sensational for long distance trail running, with superb comfort and support.

I didn't experience any heel slippage even without re-lacing the with a top lace lock. Toe box is comfortable whereas the Salomon Sonic RA Pro's are slightly compressing at the toe and also on the top of the feet. Good road feel on pavement, nimble on dirt. Quite light.
