My experience with the Cascadia 14 has been similar to others. Until now the Cascadia was my favorite trail running shoe, and this is my sixth or seventh pair. I found them to be a well-balanced shoe, with good stability and comfort on trails, gravel, and occasional pavement. Maybe not a "advanced" as others, but they simply worked well. Unfortunately, after 60+ miles, the 14 have been a frustrating downgrade. Cons: - The shoe runs large: I always used a size 10 but found it to be too large, so switched to 9.5 which was ok. Once switching to 9.5 the shoe was snug and the right width. - Less flexible and rigid sole: Shoes seem to have less "drop" or cushion. This puts too much pressure on my feet, especially the "ball" area, to the point they are uncomfortable for runs longer than 8-9 miles. - Large tread can be felt through the sole. - Durability issues: Ankle area and tread showing wear after only a few runs. This isn't different than previous models, but I was hoping to see an improvement. Positive: - Shoes are very stable - New sole grips technical terrain very well Overall, my experience is this is a complete re-design, yielding frustration. For me, the shoes are more suitable for hiking, or very challenging runs including boulders/climbs. I'll have to look at another model or brand for my daily trail runs. As another note, I do welcome the evolution of the Cascadias (and other models) but would have appreciated better communication from Brooks on the shoe re-design, so I could make an informed purchasing decision. As a longtime Brooks customer, I invested in communicating these issues with their customer support, and received only a short acknowledgment.

Wanted to love it - but the shape is not right for my foot. The shoe curves too much toward the big toe, like a cowboy boot. Totally wrong for a trail runner. Super disappointing. I sent them back.

I have been consistently trail running in Brooks shoes for more than ten years, and these are the poorest quality pair I have ever bought. The toe tread started to peel off after a couple runs, and the tread has worn faster than any Brooks shoe I've run in. While the shoe is fairly comfortable and provides adequate stability, all this becomes irrelevant when the tread quickly wasted away and the shoe is useless. I would give the brand one more try but it may be time to move on to a different one. I would not recommend this shoe to anyone.

They look well built. Unfortunately, No arch support, my foot started hurting within a few minutes of running. I have a history of plantar fasciitis which naturally took a while to resolve, so I did not take chances. Had to return them.

I've had 41 pairs of Cascadia 11s, 12s, and 13s. Amazingly hard wearing. The Cascadia 14s aren't... Gone through the heel lining after 70 miles walking. Pity, my go-to shoes have gone.

I have owned many pairs of brooks. Within 2 months the shoe separated at the laces.

Shoe size was not the same size fit as my road brooks shoes. Basically they are too big.

Loved the cascadia 12, these aren't as durable and aren't nearly as comfortable in my opinion. More like a minimalist shoe.

Big clunky shoe. Last loop for shoe lace was a deal breaker. Sent shoes back.

Forefoot is INSANELY narrow compared to the heel. The heel on these felt loose, and the forefoot was so snug my left foot spilled over the sides of the insole. Hopefully the 15 is better...

The sizing was fine and similar to what I have come to expect from Brooks running shoes. I tried twice to wear the shoes outside of the house but they squeek (a lot), not just the soles but the inside as well. They are the noisiest shoes i have ever owned. They went back in the box for return

The fit is strange, they pinch in an odd spot along the side, and the photos make them look much more attractive than they actually do. I don't want to be that person that says "they ruined these shoes" but here we are.

Bought this sneaker as I am a faithful Ghost 12 wearer and wanted something more rugged as I walk dogs that pull and trail walk a lot. When I put them on I love them they fit great but the more I wore them the more my feet hurt. They actually left my instep bruised and I had to return them.

I have a wide foot so I got the 2E. But the toe box is too wide and the arch is too tight so by the end of a run I'm in pain. I used to love Brooks shoes but none of them fit me anymore. The grip is good which is why they get one star.

Not a shoe for me. Too narrow especially after a long run. Felt like my foot was a sausage. I have a pair of Brooks Ghost road shoes and they fit well. Not sure what happened in the design process with the Cascadia. Went back to Hokas.

I've been running in the past 5 models of cascadia, and these are the worst. Sloppy sizing, less toe curve, razor sharp laces over no tongue padding. The laces alone dig into my metatarsals. I shouldn't have to run in winter hiking socks to make up for a shoe's lack of padding. I'm so disappointed in these I didn't even bother taking them out.
