I have been very happy with this coat so far. It's probably the warmest coat that I've had, and I've had a lot since I work outside in Chicago. The longer length helps keep the cold out in the front, but I've noticed that I still get quite a few air drafts in the back. I also like that they extended the sleeves a little and give you a partial built in glove.

I love the looks of the jacket as well as the length(goes well below the butt). I am 5'6" 122lbs usually between a S & M. I ordered medium because I often wear a sweatshirt...it was huge! Also, a little on the bulky side. I am in the process of exchanging and still deciding if I will order a smaller size because I love the looks, length and the warmth but also may look at something a little less bulky!

I really like this coat. I was looking for something longer, but not too long. This hits just above my knees. I am 5"2' and 130 pounds. I got a large and it was a little big. I did wash and dry to get it to shrink a little. I love the cuffs and thumb holes. That was a deal breaker for me. The zipper seems a little cheap, so hopefully it lasts! Otherwise, I really like the coat so far. I have worn it in 30 degree weather and also 10 below zero with a wind chill. It has kept me warm and I have no complaints so far. I hate being cold and I am always cold, so I wanted something extremely warm and this has worked.

Beautiful jacket. The white is also reflective which I love. The fur in the hood is a light gray which looks great on the white. Definitely warm for Cali weather and will be trying it out to snowboard; hopefully it holds up. XS is bigger than expected

I bought this coat for my mom and she loves it! It's cute and not bulky. Some reviews say that it is a little snug and she reports the same to me. I got this not only because of the warmth, but she needed something that was waterproof as well. The only problem is that that the zipper is defective and it's very hard to unzip it, so she has to step in and out of it to put it on and take it off. I would otherwise recommend it.

The shape and style of this coat are excellent. Love that the back is a little bit longer and overall, a great and flattering length. High quality construction. However, I thought it would be a bit warmer. I was quite chilly already on a 20 degree day with a little wind and sleet. You will still need to wear a few layers underneath for sure.

I bought this coat on internet before the winter started. I really love the color (the bordoix one). It has nice small details that I love and with this length, the both side zipper is just a necessity. It is not that water resistant as I somehow expected, that super warm and it might have a bit more space for the breasts. Apart from that, I really like it!

Pretty good quality and amazing color

Fabric is less puffy than I imagined and I really liked how it insulates. It fits nicely however, the sleeves could have been nearly 1 inch shorter. I ordered XS so it makes a big difference. Usually I do not experience long sleeve thing with other jackets that I have.

Headed to Switzerland and the Jacket is very light, therefore won't add too much weight to Baggage fees. Very warm, hoping not too warm!

Fits great; warm, functional, comfortable

Finally purchased this coat after eyeing for some time. Very light weight and so far it has kept out the cold and wind (we have yet to hit the lowest of winter temps but from previous Columbia purchases I have no doubt it will keep me warm in the Midwest winters). Very comfortable and room for heavier sweaters. Item is pictured with black fur trim in the wine colored coat, which was very striking, but arrived with brown fur trim so that was disappointing. I would recommend snap closures over the zipper vs Velcro as the Velcro catches on clothing. I have long arms and feel the arms are a bit long and cuffs a bit wide because when you adjust the size with the Velcro (again snaps would be better here) it feels awkward. I do love the longer length and drop tail

I am 5'2" 120 lbs and I bought a size small and it fit great, room for layers and flattering. I loved how it looked, but because of the weatherproofing it was very stiff and made crinkling sounds so I am going to return it.

I am returning this jacket. I got the blue mirage color, it is more of a darker dusty blue than the picture. It is a nice jacket overall, but I am returning it due to the velcro that holds the zipper flap closed. I do not want velcro on a winter jacket because it will snag scarfs, sweaters etc. The pockets have cheap feeling fleece (the kind that would be in really cheap fabric sleeping bags i think?) in them which could catch on dry cuticles and stuff. I bought a large because my shoulders are kinda broad! There was plenty of room in the shoulders. I wear a size 10 in jeans sometimes 12. I am 5'4 and about 145 pounds. The arms were a little long.

I'm 5'4. 145lbs. I ordered the large so I can wear with sweaters. The only complaint I have is the velcro on the front of the coat. Snaps would make this much better. Velcro sticks to sweaters and scarves, very nice coat otherwise. Keeping me warm in Wisco.

I ordered the XS and I would have loved to have kept it but it was really big. I'm 5'2, 100 pounds and it was just way too big. Wish they had an XXS.

I need to get into coat quickly for potty training my pups. Velco closures? shouldn't be needed. The size of the zipper "head"? is minuscule. If you have time/patience, really good eyesight/eye hand coordination it is really a beautiful, probably very warm coat. Loved the grey color.

Lightweight jacket that's good but the 2 way zipper is not easy to maneuver.

Sleeves are extremely long, so I returned this jacket. I was surprised because my arms are quite long. The jacket is very warm, almost too warm to go shopping so that is another reason I returned it. The jacket I really wanted wasn't available in my size. Guess I'll wait until next year.

This jacket seems to be well made as far as material and construction goes, however it is way too large, especially in the chest, shoulders, and the entire arm area. The arm opening is also way too large and I had to tighten the cuff all the way with the Velcro, which looked silly. I recommend sizing down.

That omni heat does not work properly. This is my 2nd Winter(I live in Chicago) and this coat does not keep me warm.

Somehow this coat seems to be both too big and too small, I have noticed this before for myself on some Columbia styles. The body of the coat is very light weight but two big in the body while the shoulders are too small restricting movement. The other problem for me is that the neckline one fully zipped hits right in the mouth so while walking the movement would make the zipper smack my face, not very comfortable. However the coat has the features as advertised and seems to be very light. Since I was on able to wear it outside I can't speak to the warmth but it did feel warm when putting on in the house.

This coat is really nice. I normally wear an XL in Columbia coats, which is the size I bought. However, it is tight around the waist/ hips area. I also noticed it attracts cat/dog hair, unlike many other Columbia coats I own. I'm 5'10 210 LBS

I recently bought the Women's Lay D Down Mid Jacket. I live in chilly MN. I like it however it is not as warm as I thought it was going to be. I bought a regular length Lay D Down several years ago and it is much thicker and warmer. I was disappointed that this new jacket I purchased was so much thinner. I am bummed about this. I will keep it and wear it this winter but sure wish it was as thick as my other one. I will probably wear extra layers underneath it when I go outside this winter. More layers than I normally wear which is several. Please keep in mind that I am always cold anyway so I think for most people it would be just fine. I was just hoping it was going to be as warm as my other coat that is not as long. But all in all I really love all of your products!!

I first bought this coat in 2020, but I had to replace it since the zipper on the old one broke. When I reordered this coat, I was shocked by the difference in quality between the old and new model of this jacket. The fit is different, slightly worse. It's not too small or too largeit's just fitted strangely. The pockets are weirdly tighter/smaller in the newer model. And the fur trim is noticeably worse quality: there is less fur trim, and it looks flattened. I also ordered this jacket in Cinder because I thought it would be brown, but the color does not look the same way as it does on the website. In person, it's definitely a dark maroonlike a dull purple. There is no lighting condition under which the jacket would look brown like it does on the website. Lots of things to dislike about the newer version of this coat. 2 stars because it still does a decent job of keeping you warm.
