This coat is super warm when it needs to be but also versatile for running across campus and going in and out of buildings. Great features include the lining that reflects body heat, the thumb holes in the cuffs. Fit is comfortable and for a puffy down coat it doesn't make you look like the Michelin man.

This jacket is one of the most comfortable yet warm jackets. Not only is it stylish but it's very becoming. The last Columbia Jacket (which I've owned many) was white. I washed it constantly and the Columbia name was true. This jacket keeps you warm yet you don't feel over-heated. It's so versatile I could wear it anywhere. The slopes, out to dinner or a stroll. I can see beyond a shadow of a doubt... if you want a warm jacket that is stylish... well this jacket is calling out for you. Buy it you will not regret it. Columbia Outerwear doesn't have to sell their items the quality and care they make each product sells itself. But I'm here to say you will not regret buying this coat ever.

Very nice jacket. Only complaint is that hood looks too small- should be larger and fur on hood more fluffy.

This jacket is everything I could have asked for. I have spent weeks researching jackets and I am so happy with my choice! Not too bulky and yet extremely warm. I love the Omni heat technology! Keeps you warm without making you sweat! This is my third Omni heat technology product! I would highly recommend this jacket!

So thrilled to receive this jacket. Keeps me warm. I chose a white one and can get dirty but it doesn't matter. Hood is great because it doesn't cover the visibility when wearing it.

If you live in a cold climate or are often cold, this is the coat for you. I am so happy I chose this one to keep me warm. I definitely recommend this!

Very Flattering jacket!

I bought this for my daughter who is in her first year of college in Michigan and she said it's the warmest thing she's ever had on her body!! She just loves it and it build to with stand time for her college career!

This jacket is waterproof, super warm and a great length. It will be very useful this winter and I won't need to sacrifice an attractive fit for warmth. Great jacket!

I really love the color! The jacket is warm, even in our high winds and chilly temps. The only thing I don't like is how loud and crinkly it is.

The S/M/L Jackets have an hour glass design and all say order a size larger and their not kidding. I am 165 lbs and stand 5.3 ft. The XL just zipped but was snug in the rear. Planning to send it back I bought a XXL. Room enough in the rear area. Enough room to layer with a shirt and sweater underneath slightly bulky in the top back area. To be honest it all looks way cutter on the model in the picture. But in Alaska where I live -20 and -30 below for long periods it will be alright for going to church and town. I bought another 3 in 1 jacket for work.

This coat is wonderful. I really loved it - except for one style issue. From the front it is very flattering, but looking from the side it puffs out around the butt just enough to be unflattering. It might be because I'm only 5'3" but it seems to be more of an issue with the stitching.

Love the coat but runs a little small. I have bigger boobs and the coat was very snug in that area and hugged my midsection a little. I am a medium but have a larger chest. So I would say size up if you run into the same issue as me. Also, the arms are long, better long than short though and they are adjustable. But other than that the coat was perfect and seems like it would keep me warm during the winter. After wearing it for like 2 minutes, I felt as if I was heating up.

Really like this jacket, nice and warm, water resistant, pretty color. Pretty and practical.

The Lay D Down l l Mid Jacket is not quite as warm as I anticipated, but better than several coats I have had in the past. I have not noticed any settling in the layers of down, that is very good. Only a few down particles have worked their way out on the surface of the coat. I love the way it fits and the length is perfect for keeping my upper legs protected from whipping cold breezes. the fitted inner cuffs and the high zip neck are also effective at keeping the wind out. I am happy with the coat, and appreciate Columbia's willingness to stand behind the quality and workmanship of their products. I ordered a Large so I could layer sweaters and base layers. With or without the extra clothing my range of motion is not impeded.

Jacket hits mid thigh for me (5'6"). I love the thumb loops--helps to keep sleeves snug and warm. The two-way zipper might become a problem...I bent over to tie my shoe after zipping it up and it totally opened, but I was able to get both zipper pulls back in place and the teeth seem to line up correctly again. Jacket is lightweight but seems warm. I hope it'll stand up to Chicago winters. Seems true to size. I often wear M tops (full bust, hourglass shape). I ordered a medium and it fits well. It will easily accommodate a sweater.

I wanted a long warm coat that covers my butt! This one comes down just above my knees. The coat is a bit stiff but I'm sure that will change when I can wear it again next winter. It seems like it'll be very warm, but I bought it in April so I'll have to wait to see how warm exactly. The zipper is a little stubborn thus the average rating on function.

This is a great coat- well made, & quality construction - however, it's too stiff and not roomy enough for me. I can't wear layers under this coat without feeling like I'm in a straight jacket. I wanted something with fur around the hood. Columbia had several to choose from so I'll send this one back and order a different style.

Pros: This jacket is very warm and has a flattering fit. It tapers in a little at the waist to fit a woman so it doesn't make you look barrel-shaped, lol. I LOVE the fit! Thumb holes in the wrist cuffs are nice. The olive green shade has a pretty almost bronze sheen. It honestly looks a little more green in person than it does on the website. Overall, very pretty and functional coat. Cons: The velcro flaps will NOT hold the coat together. You must use the zipper to keep the coat closed. No problem, except the velcro kind of gets in the way when you're trying to zip the coat. I would've preferred snaps. When you use the drawcord to tighten the coat around your thighs, it looks a little bulked up and uneven around the bottom hem-probably because the coat is a little stiff. I hope it will soften up with wear and use. In summary, the pros far outweigh the cons. I love it so much that I bought it in 3 different colors! I would highly recommend this for cold windy wet weather.

I got this coat because I wanted something that covered my backside and thighs. This does the trick! It's lightweight but still super warm! I live in Ohio where the weather can change in an instant, and this coat handles the transitions. I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs and the small is perfect. My only issue is the double zipper can take some finagling but not enough to make me look at other products. I would recommend!
