This is a fantastic jacket! I love the color and the fit is great also. I haven't had time to wear it yet since it's still summer here, but all of Columbia products are great so I'm sure it will be too.

The product looks amazing and is a little heavy when you wear both the jackets together. I have Dark plum crossdye. The quilted jacket on the inside fits perfectly and can be used by itself as a winter jacket. Also it is such a beautiful color with Omni heat technology. It feels super warm and comfy. The rain jacket on the outside is dark plum and it fits a tad loose given that it needs to accommodate a quilted jacket on the inside. I do not mind that it is a little roomy and it works for me on a everyday basis as a rain jacket as well. I love that this jacket solved my need for layering in one shot!

love that it's windproof and waterproof and great quality. pretty "stylish" for a 3-1, not too bulky. would've kept but had to return due to sketchy powder skirt. it didn't work for me - way too short and unusable when the liner is zipped in.

I've been looking for a coat that I can wear skiing and not overheat or freeze in and this fits the bill! It a decent amount of pockets and seems like it will last for quite a while. I do have to say that it's not quite as warm as I had hoped it would be, but that's ok as I usually am wearing layers under my coat anyways. My biggest issue with it is there's just one inside pocket if you have the liner zipped in, so you have to unzip the liner from the outer shell in order to have more storage. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase!

Very Warm, love the double jackets. I have wide hips and a short waist, a little tight around my hips

I loved the color of this coat (the dark teal), but it was way too small! I'm a solid medium normally but would clearly need a large. They were sold out of that color in large though, so I wasn't able to get it. I'm also not super sure about the interchange. It seems like a good idea, but it was kind of hard to get the two jackets apart and back together. I decided to go with a different jacket style for those reasons.

I usually wear a L/XL. I was a little nervous about ordering online so I went up to a 2XL and thank goodness I did! I would suggest sizing up one or even two sizes when ordering this. With doing so, it is still a tiny bit tight around my hips/butt. It really is a great jacket. It keeps me warm and keeps out most of the wind. I walk a kid to the bus stop every morning and the wind can be brutal. The reflective thermal layer is great on its own too! Happy I purchased, happier I sized up.

The jacket is excellent although it turned out to be a little small in the armhole.

I have two other Columbia coats and love them because the sleeves are long enough for me. Both are XL. I followed the sizing guidelines but this jacket is very tight under my arms, and through the chest and back when I reach out (pole planting during skiing) . I am 5'9" and weigh 185 and wear a 38c bra size. If I remove the inner layer then the outer shell fits fine. And if I just wear the inner layer it fits fine. But when they are worn together it is tight. I don't want to send back for a larger size because the coat is much too large around my hips (42") and would look like a tent with an XXL. I guess I will just wear separate pieces and maybe a thin fleece under the shell. It is amazing fabric and a beautiful maroon/wine color. Love all the pockets for skiing . So sad it doesn't work better.

I followed the website suggestion to buy an XL since i am normally a M/L and its too big. I have rolled up the sleeves and will keep it. Why ever did you make the inner jacket white? There are many colors in the outer shell to choose from so not sure who thought that was a good idea. That said i skied in the cold yesterday in NH and was warm and comfortable so I gave the jacket a 4 because of the white lining but i love the pattern and the fact that its not shiny. Glad i bought it though wish it was a size smaller!

Light but warm coat, comfortable. The hood is a little stiff - gets caught in the wind sometimes but coat is water-resistant enough to work as a rain coat. I wish it had a double zipper like my previous coat so I could unzip the bottom when I'm sitting down (driving mostly). That said, I'm very happy with this coat.

The jacket is warm and well built. The fabric and color are very nice. The only downside is the one-way zipper. This jacket is substantial enough to warrant a two way zipper and even a waist cinch. Anyway, it works well enough for the price.

I love how easy the website was to navigate and the ease of a return. This is by far the warmest coat I have ever owned, living in Wyoming definitely need something to stop the wind!!

The only reason for 4 * rating, is because the hood does not detach.

I've owned Whirlibird jackets in the past and loved them so I knew I wanted to replace the one I wore for almost 10 years with the new version. This coat is as functional as it's predecessors. My only complaint is that isn't a little short. I'm 6'2" and the large fits me perfectly in the body, but the sleeves are short and the torso is a little short too. This likely wouldn't be an issue for most people, but I wish Columbia would offer tall sizes in the women's jackets like they do in the men's. Love this coat and the color otherwise.

I'm usually a medium and sized up to a large as the site recommends. Well, it's very roomy and the sleeves are about an inch too long. Unfortunately I don't have time to mess with a return. Besides the poor fit the jacket is A+ when it comes to quality and I would absolutely wear the shell on its own.
