I purchased this coat because living in Seattle means the weather can be temperamental. It's perfect for those cold wet mornings when I'm walking my dog and is great to use throughout the day when the sun decides to make an appearance. Highly recommend for the functionality and protection!

The Omni-Tech feature really keeps you warm. You can feel it capturing the heat from your body. Got mine in the Dark Ivy and I always get compliments on the color!

Recently purchased this jacket for a snow trip I have coming up in Colorado and WOW, I do not regret this AT ALL! You get 2 jackets for 1!!! Literally. The fact that that the puffer jacket zips off from the outer jacket makes it great for everyday use! I was looking to buy a puffer jacket but couldn't find one I liked on me, that changed with this one!! It's insulated as well with the omni-tech so it's super warm! The outer jacket can make as a rain jacket alone, I ordered a size up to be able to layer underneath and it's convenient how it has the little hooks in the sleeve to "lock" in my other Columbia sweaters! I was so impressed by this jacket that I showed my sister immediately and that same day, she purchased one herself!! 10/10 recommend!!!

I love the Whirlibird lll Interchange Jacket. It keeps me warm when I'm outside in the cold. I love that it has two jackets in one. So I can wear them together or separate if it's not that cold.

I love this jacket. I wear it everyday (snowy days) and it keeps me very warm. I trully recommend it.

My 12 year old fits in an XS or size 2 at most stores. She's got some height on her at about 5'. She loves this jacket. She normally runs warm, and this jacket has helped her in the fluctuating temperatures. She doesn't get too hot and she is never cold. I wish I had the inner layer it looks so comfortable and it's nice looking. Hopefully, it will last her for a bit. I think I need one for myself. The colors are spot on too.

Great jacket for fall and winter given that the lighter puffer zips in and out. The omni tech lining inside makes it super warm. I usually wear a medium in things but felt the size up to the large was the right fit given it's a winter jacket and will be worn over thicker tops. Blocks against the elements quite well!

the best jacket I ever had

I am very pleased to be the owner of this coat. So far this is been a mild winter and I've enjoyed wearing the shell alone and also the liner alone, very functional. Also, wearing them both together keeps me toasty warm! I am 5'10", 155lbs. and this coat is a perfect fit.

I searched for what seemed like forever for the perfect winter jacket. The very second I saw this one on Columbia's website I knew my search was over. I ordered one in the lagoon diamond print and in person the color is not as blue as it appeared online but still a beautiful color. I think I like it even more! I usually wear a medium and I must say this jacket does seem to run a little big but I don't mind bc the bit of extra length keeps me warmer and I don't feel smothered in the double layers. I'd say I'd buy this coat again but it's such high quality that I won't need to buy another one for awhile. If you're unsure buy it!!! It's beyond worth the cost!!

I love my jacket! I am actually writing my review in part of this jacket! This jacket is amazingly warm! I LOVE the fact that I can wear both pieces or just one. It is easy and quick to change out the layers and put them back together. I am so happy with my purchase that I bought my daughter one as well! Thank you for making such a great product!

5'3", 140 pounds and is a 38C. Medium fits the build perfectly. 5'6"+ might go with large for the torso. Arkansas winters still have some zero temps. Inner shell is warm enough to wear in the 40 degree range. Lower than that, the outer shell is needed. Jacket is great, worth the money. The green color is beautiful.

I must say I am totally enthralled with my new jacket. I have purchased Columbia products always for my grandchildren but this is the first time for myself. I usually went the way of a lower priced jacket, now I am very glad that I 'took a risk' and purchased this great jacket. The weather has cooperated by being quite cold, putting it's features to good use. Without wearing any additional apparel, this jacket kept me quite warm. Not overly bulky, it is a very flattering fit. The omni-heat technology truly keeps you warm. The color is true to the picture.

This jacket looks great in person. The inner jacket is perfect for fall days/beginning of winter. And the entire jacket with outer shell is super warm for snowboarding.

I bought this coat as a replacement for a 3-in-1 interchange coat I have had since high school (over 10 years). I have only had this coat for about a week but so far so good! I have only worn the inner thermal layer (with Omni heat) by itself, but it is cozy and warm and stylish. I find myself looking forward to the colder weather so I can wear the entire coat all together!

I purchased this coat several months ago. It's finally gotten cold enough to wear it. It is super warm in below freezing temperatures. On warmer days I just wear the puffer jacket and it's very warm worn alone. I love the deep plum color. I'm 5'2 and 130lbs; the medium fits perfectly.

I bought this for my Thanksgiving ski trip. I was recommended by my brother to buy it cause: 1. It's half the price of Northface!!! And it's just as warm, if not, warmer. Because Columbia uses its own heat tech called Omni Heat which is SUPER WARM. (I currently own two Columbia jackets and one pair of boots) they're all awesome! 2. It's also waterproof like gortex, but uses it's own tech. 3. The shipping is so fast. It arrived in less than a week. 4. It's good style. The tiny downside is that the sleeves and length of the jacket is a little long. So when I wear my hoodie under, the body part is a little snug but the sleeves and length are longer and looser

These are the best winter coats - on average they last me 3 to 4 years really easily. The lining is great to wear solo on cold days (20 degrees F or warmer) while the outer layer is perfect for warm, wet days (40s or warmer). But both layers together? Well, I live in a place where it routinely gets down to -15 F (or colder) in the mornings and I've never been cold! Pro tip, though - if you're a girl who enjoys makeup, do not get one with a white lining/inner layer. Your makeup will slowly stain the white over time and you'll be sad. That was actually the only reason why I needed to replace my last whirlibird!

I bought a 3 in 1 coat from Columbia last year and it was by far the best coat I ever owned. I hate being cold but I don't want to roast either. The 3 in 1 coat with Omni Heat was the answer! With both components zipped together I kept warm even on the coldest, nastiest days. When the days got a little warmer the liner was the perfect weight. But alas, I went on a diet and lost weight and my wonderful coat was too big. What to do? Order another one in a smaller size! I do not want winter to get here but when it does I've got a way to stay warm!

I have short arms but regular body - usually wear a size 12. The Medium was snug around my hips and the Large fit great except the sleeves too long. I was just about to put back on rack when I discovered Velcro tabs to tighten around my wrists and it fit perfect! Lightweight for travel. Very easy to unzip inner jacket and wear EITHER one alone. This jacket is versatile -- especially accommodating when weather starts one way at the beginning of day and changes.
