I haven't gotten a chance to take it to the snow yet, so I can't speak to the function, but it does have all the features I want in a skiing and snowboarding jacket - fleece-lined pockets, the outer layer has armpit zips/vents, a breast pocket, and a removable liner jacket. I adore the Dark Nocturnal Sparkler Print, though not as a big of a fan of the bright blue puffy underjacket., especially because of the gray wrist cuff.

I really don't like to buy anything else but Columbia..I bought this for my sister and a pair of boots for my other sister! A coat and inserts for me!

This is the second time I have purchased this same cost style. I like the interchange of two coats in one. It is comfortable and great for skiing.!

I bought this for my 14 year old daughter. We live in Western PA, so winter can be pretty frigid. She loves it! It has a nice modern cut and has enough room for a sweater or sweatshirt without making her look like a snowman. Great winter coat.

I purchased this coat to replace a Columbia coat that was 15 to 20 years old. It is everything I was looking for and more. It is extremely warm and comfortable. I would definately recommend this coat.

Very warm coat for skiing. True to size coat. My kid loves it and it does the job even in very cold and chilly conditions.

Love this jacket. Love the pockets and especially the interchangeable option for those days you just need something light to wear. Reccomend this!

I love this coat! I bought it for myself as an early Christmas gift! My partner bought a similar jacket with Omniheat last year and encouraged me to try one because I'm always cold! It's so toasty, but still comfortable and easy to move around in! It's going to be perfect for skiing, snowshoeing, or just out and about in those cold Montana winter months. I decided to order a size large, when typically I wear a medium. I'm glad I went with the large, as I do have room for a thicker sweater, vest, or fleece if I really need to layer up. I also love all of the zippered pockets in handy places!

I love it. It's so warm. It's perfect for winter

I live in Central MN and this jacket has been great for cold, blowing, and snowy days. It has been great for shoveling out after a storm or making runs around town in subzero temps. Not a bulky coat, the sleeves are long enough for long arms and moves with me during active days.

This jacket is perfect for the arctic midwest winters! The layers together are plenty warm in single digit temperatures and the outer layer perfectly blocked the wind. I love that when it warms up a bit i can just wear the lovely blue inside jacket! I did size up from a M to a L based on the reviews and I'm glad I did, or there is no way I could have worn even a thin sweater underneath.

I have been looking for a substantial winter coat for the last few years. This jacket has been in my cart many times and I finally bought it! Why did I wait so long, I love this jacket. It's warm, comfortable and looks good with everything (I did the black style). I would recommend this jacket to anyone out looking for a practical, warm winter jacket!

I needed something both warm and waterproof for the New England winters. This is perfect. I love the light, warm jacket inside and the waterproof shell. It definitely fits small. All my other Columbia jackets are size small, but I had to order this in a medium to be able to zip it over a sweater.

I bought this jacket to replace an old Columbia jacket that has kept me warm and comfortable for probably the last ten years. It's the same type of jacket and I was hoping nothing had changed. And nothing has except for the better! This jacket is warm and comfortable without being too heavy. I love the jacket. I love the color! It's a great jacket!

I've gotten so many compliments on this jacket and just about everytime I come into work I show it off to the members! I absolutely love it, not to mention it's extremely warm yet light enough to be high functioning in it!

Living in northwest Montana, we can have 50+ degree changes in one day, and this jacket has been perfect to deal with the bipolar weather we see on a daily basis. I love the fact that I can wear both layers alone for different temperatures/weather patterns, and when the real cold kicks in, both layers together are perfect. I have long arms that tend to force me to buy men's sizes, but the sleeves on this jacket were fine. My only concern was the fit. I tried this coat on in a store to find what size I needed and the Medium fit perfectly. However, the black was not available in the store so I ordered it online. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the Medium was super tight in the shoulders/armpits and I had to return it for a Large. As much as I love Columbia, I have found that sizing can be inconsistent and that was definitely the case with this coat.

I like the color, the functionality works fine, pockets are roomy. I got this coat so that I could continue to walk outside in bad weather. This has been successful. If you are looking for a nice big warm coat for cold or rainy weather, this one works.
