I've been needing a new winter coat for awhile now. This jacket combines durability and warmth with the 3 in 1 technology. Love that the inner shell can be removed, it adds versatility plus it's like getting 2 jackets instead of just 1! I highly recommend this jacket.

I just bought this for my cousin as she will be going for a holiday in January next year. I had the older version of this jacket and it was the only one that kept me warm when first I moved to Kansas in January this year so I highly recommended this jacket to her. There were some differences in the Omni Heat tech on the new jacket and I noticed the weight is slightly lighter compared to mine. I tried wearing hers yesterday when it was snowing outside in Kansas and it kept me very warm as I was just wearing a singlet inside :). I hope it can keep my cousin warm in January.

For rainy days it's good. Interchange 3 in 1 is the best

I got this jacket for my wife. She is 5'9 and it was very big on her. She usually wears a size large but we thought since it was a jacket to get a size XL. However, we ended up returning it and getting a size L and it fit perfectly. The jacket is made very well. All the pockets make it very convenient. It is very warm as well. So make sure you get it for colder climates. Even the insert is warm

I am 5'5" 190 lbs and purchased the Red Lily in XL. It fits like a glove with room to layer. Arms are generously long enough and it's nicer than the picture!

My last jacket from Columbia is still perfectly fine but ended up having to get this one in black to adhere to Air Force standards while in DEP. It is a little tight but I'm sure I'll be loosing weight in basic so that's no issue; it's still comfortable and I can move around in it. If I had gotten a size up, it would've been way too large anyway. I failed to notice the hood does not come off so I was a bit sad about that when it came in the mail, but that's just a minor detail and a mistake on my part. The first time you touch this thing, you can feel the quality of the product coursing through it. I love this jacket and highly recommend it.

Just got my jacket in the mail. It's very nice. Talked to customer service rep before I ordered. I wasn't sure of the size . I'm a 53-47-53" and I ordered a 3X . It's plenty roomy to wear a sweater under it. It measures on the outside 58-56-58". It feels very snuggly warm. Love all the zippered pockets and the ease to take jacket apart.

I bought this for skiing in Colorado during December and it was perfect. Kept me warm during heavy snowfall and being out in the snow for 2 hours. Small fit perfect for me and I"m 5'1, 115 lbs. Would highly recommend.

Was very anxious to spend SO much money on a jacket. I am so glad I did. I've worn it all winter playing outside with my little one. Cold mornings rushing out to warm the car or walk in to work...I am perfectly comfortable. The ability to wear it as a whole or either of the two pieces is great so it works into spring and from fall. Worth every penny

This is a great jacket that looks nice and is highly utilitarian. The interchangeability makes it really helpful. It is certainly very warm. I used it to hike in double digit temps with just a base layer under it and it kept me warm and comfortable. The zips are high quality and the underarm vents are very helpful once you start sweating. All in all, I love it. Haven't been able to test its waterproofing ability but I'm sure it'll be a great jacket in light rain and will keep me dry. Since it is critically seemed and not fully seemed, don't expect it to be a true rain jacket but it'll certainly come on top in most of the conditions given its high quality. Love it

My first time at Tahoe and a ski resort, and the Whirlibird was great! Combined with snow pants and boots, I was was comfortable hiking for hours on snowy trails and trying my hand at cross country skiing. Very wind resistant, and with temps in Tahoe widely varying from base to mountain top, the ability to remove the outer shell was a huge benefit. Loved all the pockets, they were a lifesaver for storing things when out in the woods. Back to the city, where it will be great when out walking the dog or urban hiking. My old coat was a bugaboo, which is also a great coat but the whirlibird offers a more insulated interchange, omniheat, a bunch of extra pockets and runs a touch longer. I'd say go for the whirlibird, it offers a lot more at a slightly higher price point.

I'm 5'5, 110llbs. Jacket fits great. Sleeves are a bit long but okay once you cinch them with the velcro. Wore the inner jacket today snowshoeing and it kept me comfortably warm and dry! LOVE the color! Looking forward to wearing it with the outer shell when I go skiing!

This coat has been incredible. I've used mostly the outer shell at this point, which has kept me warm and dry during 10 days of non-stop wind and rain. I'm so glad I bought this coat. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Great jacket!! The options of 3 jackets is a great feature. I have worn them both seperately as well as together. Have no complaints. I use this for skiing, snowshoeing and everyday wear

I wore this coat to go snowboarding today, and it performed just as I had hoped it would. Very warm, considering the lighter weight of the liner. The underarm vents worked great. The arms are long enough to go over my gloves. The length in the back is great for cold temps and to keep the snow out (because we all fall once in a while!). I am 5' 4", 130 pounds, average build and the small fits great. Room for layers and movement but without having to get a baggy coat.

Received my new jacket. It's for rain, cold or both if combined. The lining is some new technology to reflect heat back to my body. It seems very warm but looks a little odd...silvery fabric. The color is supposed to be black but it's a dark gray I'd say. Still attractive.
