I think these are good shoes, just not for my feet. The "generous fit" aspect made me feel like my feet were swimming in the shoe. I didn't feel secure or stable in my foot placement -- not good for running. I switched to the Adrenaline GTS 20 & find that they take care of the problem. Great fit for me.

I love brooks addiction shoes and buy the new edition every year. This one is awful and they are poorly made.

They felt really heavy to run in. My feet felt like they were sinking in memory foam versus real support. They're going back.

I answered all the questions regarding fit, but I must have missed something. These are too narrow across the toes and not enough support for my arches.

I've never bought brooks before but my best friend recommended them... I like the shoes but they look like this after two months working at a grocery store.

I purchased the shoes via your online customer service. I have a high arch and that was of great importance to me. These Shoes have very little arch support . Tonight when putting them back in the box , I see that both shoes are torn in the exact same place. So not only are they not the correct fit, the material did not hold up for 3 weeks. Poor manufacturing is all I can blame it on.

I loved the fit of my Brooks shoes; however, the quality was poor. The ankle collar, the second week I had them wore a hole and the left toe fabric developed a hole. I have had them just a few months and they already look ratty. I am not an avid runner and do not do trails. They were used for inside gym classes. Now I am ashamed to wear them to class. I am so disappointed that the outside of the shoe did not hold up.

They have good support, but when I run they make me run flat footed. Because of the flat footed-ness I can't get my natural stride and can't go over 3 miles without my knees and hips hurting.

The shoe is heavy and clunky. The toe box is too shallow and pressed down on my toes. I returned this shoe and kept the Brooks Ghost, which is lighter and comfortable. I have a narrow foot and these were the only 2 styles I could find in narrow.

Ordered same size as other Brooks that I had previously purchased and these run larger in size and are not as comfortable.

Overall it's an okay shoe, but it DOES NOT last. I've had these for somewhere around 4-5 months and they are falling apart. I am not a runner, so they have no reason to have so much wear and tear. It was a big let down overall. The support aspect is good, but not the best. I just expected more. If I could have returned them I would have. I feel that shoes should at minimum last nine months to a year before wear and tear is apparent.

I was a bit disappointed in these I'm afraid. I have plantar faciitus and have been ordering Glycerin 17 every few months. I noticed the Addiction had max cushion so I thought they might help a bit more. The shape of the shoe did not feel as comfy as my Glycerins. I tried to adjust the laces a few different ways but they would cut off circulation on the tops of my feet so it was a bit of a bummer. It would be nice to have a bit more cushion in the Glycerin since I believe those are my best fit but I realize that is not how this works.

Not as much cushion as my Brooks Addiction 12 had. My 12's seemed to support my feet better and to correct my overpronation and the overall feel was better. During and after training in my current shoes the big toe on my right foot hurts as well as my left knee has pain.

Not as supportive, not as comfortable, and not as nice looking as the Arial model...I may return them as I can feel the ball of my foot on the pavement through the shoe.

Poor SupportGreat Support
First ordered the Brooks Addiction 14 in 8.5 Wide (my normal size). Shoe was extremely wide in the heel and across the ball of foot. Sloppy fit and no stability. Returned for size 8.5 Medium. Much better fit in the heel but overall fit of the rest of the shoe was snug enough to make my feet cramp while doing a 30 minute "wear test" indoors. Shoe is lacking in the stability offered by the Brooks Addiction 13 and previous models. Really disappointing.
I'd also recommend:
Merrel, Keen, Naot, Taos, Ariat

The insole is not cushioned enough. My right side is hurting. I have flat feet and the support is not good. Had to replace the first pair--defective. The previous Addiction shoe was perfect. Don't understand why there was a need to "fix it."

Addiction 14 . I have been wearing the Addiction stye for years and was SO DISAPPOINTED that that the 14 was not comfortable, did not fit the way the earlier Addiction # have. Please, please bring back the Addiction style that fits the way the # 13 and # 12. I did like the way the Addiction #14looked and so was doubly disappointed that the fit was not there. Thank you.

Unfortunately the material around the ankle. Of this shoe is no better than the 13. I have had this pair for a couple of months and the fabric is disintigrating, unlike Addiction 8 -12. In other words it is not my feet, it is the material. The fit is good and I am stuck with this shoe as there are so few choices for narrow motion control shoes.
