I love Brooks and have been wearing only the Addiction for years. The 13's were the best! The support was top-notch (felt like I was running on clouds). Since I've had the 14's (for about 6 weeks now) my toes keep getting wet in my 14s. I live in Washington State and I guarantee you, I'm not running thru puddles, but any wetness on the ground is just absorbing into the front of my 14s. All I know is, I definitely can tell a difference. I've been debating returning the 14s (but there is really no other shoe I like better, so I've been putting up with it and setting them over the heat vent). I didn't have any trouble with water absorbing in the 13's so uncertain why?

Too heavy for running! Please bring back ghost 10! Nothing compares. Still have a 3 because they are fine for working in.

Max support doesn't mean strong arch support (not as much as Ariel), and I bought narrow but my heel still slips in and out when walking (yes I have laces laced all the way up the shoe). It's roomy in the toes (more than a narrow needs). The only difference I notice for narrow vs my medium width Ariels is the laces aren't super long after tied.

The best support - I'm in my third pair. The issue is quality - again, third pair. They fall apart incredibly quickly. Brooks needs to do better with quality and this price but it's hard to beat this fit and support.

These are not the quality I expect from Brooks Addiction. the sole felt good but the upper body of the shoe has very little construction that would fulfill the expectation of a good wearing shoe. At this price point I expect a well constructed and integrated shoe. My Brooks Addiction 10's are still in good condition because they are very well constructed. these 14's are cheap by comparison.

Not enough ankle support. Soles were thinner than Brooks Addiction 2 walkers.

I recently found Brooks shoes (and am on my second pair). I love the shoes cushion, while still feeling light. Unfortunately, one of my Addiction 14s are fraying at the toe, this was unsettling to me because I only wear these particular shoes indoors, and I know they were not snagged on anything. I was going to let it go as a fluke, and order new shoes... but after reading reviews of other Brooks shoes I see others have had the same problem. I'm so disappointed.

I read the reviews on the Addiction 14, and the same complaint that came up with Addiction 13 (that happened with ALL the 13's I bought) is STILL a problem. The binding at the top edge of the shoe disintegrates/tears and exposes the foam underneath. We are talking about after about a month of wear ONLY at the gym with very moderate activity. (I am in my 70's) Perhaps poor quality fabric used at edge? The machines that attach it are damaging the binding in that spot? I feel that either the company does not know, does not care. But there doesn't appear to be a plan to fix the problem. It's too bad, as this would be my first choice for a shoe, but not with what appears to be a design or production flaw. If it were only me, I'd think it was a one off. But I see this problem over and over in the reviews.

I need the motion control but not all the cushion. The cushion makes my legs ache. It feels with all the cushion it lacks the stability and the motion control. I can use the GTS for walking but they don't really work for me for running any more..

The sole feels hard; it is not very cushioned and the removable insole is thin and not cushioned at all. The toe is nice and wide but the heel is too wide.

I've been wearing Brooks Ghost for over six years as an aerobic walker (6-7 miles per day). I tried Addiction thinking the cushion might serve better for long distance. After two weeks I returned them for another pair of Ghost. The tongue dug into my instep, the toe box was less roomy than the Ghost, less support around the ankle, heel & foot overall.

I returned them. They were not comfortable to me. I do have high arches. The width was good (2E).

I am a dedicated Brooks Adrenaline wearer as I have knee problems. I have not liked the recent Adrenalines so I figured I’d try out the Addiction to give me some extra cushion. They felt super cushiony at first. I have only had them for about 5 months and have really not out too many miles on them. They already feel like I’m walking on the floor. Really disappointed with these shoes by Brooks.

I've worn the Addiction running shoe for 32 years. They were recommended to me by a podiatrist to stabilize my over pronating feet. They were perfect because they were a bit narrower than the other Brooks running shoes thus hugging my feet and providing all around support. Ever since Brooks enlarged the forefoot bed they no longer fit as well. Additionally, the lack of reinforcement stitching on the sides and front makes them less durable and look huge on your feet, thus rather ugly. This lack of reinforcement stitching goes for all the other Brooks models, including those made by other running shoe companies. Clearly, this is a decision by these companies to reduce manufacturing costs while charging the same prices. Well, I'm not buying into this business model, and will be looking to other companies that continue to produce durable and more attractive running shoes. I will be happy to pay more for them. Too bad that after so many years of being a happy and loyal Brooks customer and recommending Brooks to many people, I now have to look elsewhere for a quality and attractive running shoe.

I had to return these because they didn't work for my very narrow feet. I do appreciate that Brooks is one of the few companies that offer a narrow width (N). But narrow feet always require an even narrower heel, and these heels are as wide as the forefoot. I wear a super slim (SS), so I always have to wear very thick socks. Even then my heels were slipping. Asics fit me better, but I was looking for something with a little more support. Back to the drawing board.

I have been wearing addiction shoes for over 10 years. The addiction 14 do not have as much side support. I am thinking of looking for a brand of shoe with more support. It's too bad, because these were my go to shoe.

Brooks continues to disappoint me, I think I've tried every one of them and have had to return them all. These are very tight across the instep and feel very narrow along the sides. The toe area is wide, but that's all it has going for it. I went with Saucony Hurricane 23s which fit perfectly right out of the box, good room in toe box and cushion.

I'm an avid Brook shoe wearer and love them! I was very surprised at how "lumpy" this shoe felt. I've never experienced poor craftsmanship on any of their shoes until this pair.

I have had 2 pair of Addiction 13 and they?ve been totally comfortable from the first day I put them on. The Addiction 14 is not comfortable to me. I?ve been wearing them for a couple of weeks, and they slip on my heels and continually squeak when I walk. I?m very disappointed in them. I will add that I?m not a runner. I started buying Brooks at my doctor?s suggestion and have always been happy with them until now.

Pretty shoes, but: My regular size was TOO big (I could walk out of them). Next 2 sizes down were TOO small. Sigh. I really wanted to like them.
