Fits really well. Got the EE for toe box room and that did the trick....This is my 4th pair of Brooks and they are easy on the feet!

Initially I was concerned that these were too tight in width and might require a 1/2 size larger. I bought these specifically for walking. After wearing in the house for a couple of days, trying different weight socks, and playing with lace tension we got comfortable with each other. First outside day included a 5+ mile walk followed by a 1.5 mile walk the following day. No discomfort! Just a nice feeling of cushion and support.
Having worked in the shoe industry, I am aware that everyones feet are different and the dame shoe will not fit every person comfortably. Take the time to make sure they are right for you. Zappos has a great return policy so why risk a bad fit when you don’t have to.
Bottom line: I have the walking shoes I wanted. They look great dressed “up” or “down”. They feel wonderful on my feet and are very comfortable. I recommend this shoe to anyone seeking a walking shoe that works!
I'd also recommend:
Merrell, Ecco, Converse, New Balance, Native, Sperry, Clarks,

Brooks are by far my favorite shoe. I like this new one OK but it?s a little firmer than I was anticipating. I think it?s more of an all-terrain shoe

I like the older Beasts the best by far for support

I liked the Addiction 12 better. Seemed to fit better. Wish there was a store close by who offered a better selection. Ended up purchasing direct from Brooks sight unseen as a replacement for the Addiction 12. Not disappointed.

Shoe was recommended as lighter shoe for walking rather then my Addiction Walker. Not as cushioned as walker.

Still wishing I could get a few pair of Beast 18 instead of current beast offering or these. While I like the shoe I still have a high preference for the beast 18, something was just magical about them for me.

The Addiction 14 are ok. I usually wear the Beast, but their new model(20) was horrible this year and I had to find something else. I have a size 12, 4E foot so I don?t have many options to wear. I?ve worn the Addiction for about 20 hours and they?re slowly loosing up. I hope that they continue to get better.

Shoes are well built, solid and comfortable. However, total comfort is compromised by the thick laces which prevent self-adjustment, i.e. each cross lace has to be adjusted by hand each time the shoes are put on.

Light, stable and comfortable. Only shortcoming is in durability of sole overall in Brooks. The heel seems to wear too soon.

Maybe a little stiff, but a good shoe. I play golf in my new runner twice a week because of the tread on the bottom of the shoe. Excellent tread, no slip even on the wet mornings I play. Thank you for the shoe. I have 5 brooks runners and would be happy to be a live demonstrator of any new shoes.

Same wonderful shoe with great foot support. Top is lighter and has good toe room, but doesn't seem to be as supportive as former models. I would still buy it again.

Basically consistent quality with Addiction for a number of years - strong support, comfortable. I wear 11-1/2 A shoes, and the Addiction 12-1/2 Narrow B fits me perfectly. Only drawback - Brooks has decided to shorten the shoelaces (to save a penny?), which makes it difficult to tie them securely. Their customer service suggestion is to buy your own shoelaces elsewhere.

Theses are good shoes. Great for rigid arch support inserts.

Very good shoe, but they generally do not wear as well as the beast . Also I wear arch supports.

I'm an RN that spends a lot of time walking: I cover 4 buildings, and walk an enormous distance (and of course stand a lot) on my shift. This cannot be overstated: I've logged over 13 miles on a single 10 hour shift, but usually log under 10. Even though I'm an athletic 160lbs, my expensive work-only shoes last only 6 months. I'm ok with that: shoes are sacrificial. I also wear Powerstep 3/4 under the stock insoles (plantar fasciitis) and come from wearing a competitor's shoes for over 15 years (their newest design causes pain at the instep, and is a known issue). I have not worn the Addiction 14 at work yet, but at home they fit nicely, and have a nice balance of support and cushioning. I like the tread as well. It is somewhere between road runner slick and trail tread. Nice grip over many surfaces. Normally wear a 9.5 D, sometimes 2E. Got this shoe in 2E and it seems to fit well. I do have one concern: there is distinct slipping at the heels. It isn't severe, but it is quite noticeable. This issue is mentioned in several other reviews as well. Hopefully this will settle down, or maybe I'll get used to it. But I'm concerned that blisters may occur, so I will bring a spare set of shoes to work, because if this happens I will need to swap them immediately. I also ordered a set of Addiction Walker 2. Will see how those feel soon. I will try to addend my review (if I remember...and have time...).

I currently own a pair of Addiction 13s, an older pair of 14s, and a pair of Adrenaline 19s. These new 14s are great shoes, with lots of cushioning, which I need due to my diabetes. However, trying each pair on successively, I do believe that this pair does have slightly less arch support.

They fit like a glove on the first wearing. Sole feels solid but flexible, and they fit my difficult combination of a wide foot and a narrow heel -- most other brands, if they offer a wide size at all, let the heel slip around, but these do not. They were also surprisingly comfortable sitting for a three hour car ride, but are ideal for my brisk, extended walks.

We bought the Cascadia 14 and this shoe, Addiction 14. These were narrower than the Cascadia, so we returned.

Great shoe. Didn't get it for running, got it for my dad who is in his 70's. You have a great product line.

In all honesty I wear these shoes for work. I am a nurse an spend a great deal of time on my feet. Through the years I have worn many different brands of shoes and I have found the Brooks Addiction to be the most comfortable for me.
