I'm not happy with the Brooks 12, the best pairs I have are Brooks 10 & 11. They changed the toe box, they were always a little bigger in the toe box than all other Brooks and now they are snug. The laces are way to short now also.

The shoe is very nice. I wish Brooks would stick with their Ghost 10 - it was the best. 12 is close but 10 has more support and firmer fit.

I have run in the Brooks Ghost since version 9. I absolutely LOVED the Ghost 11.. the new version is too narrow. Way. Too. Narrow! When I took “11” out of the box I ran 4 miles with no problem. I tried the shoes this morning and only ran 2 and that was enough. My toes on my left foot were going numb... They are going back today. Sooo bummed, because I love the color/style and the company.

I love this shoe. I bought a pair in the dark gray a few months ago and liked them so much decided to buy another pair. The fit is perfect for my hard to please feet. This time I bought the sherbet color and love them. My only negative comment and complaint and the reason I gave the overall feeling 3 stars are the shoelaces. The first pair I bought have normal shoelaces that stay tied. The sherbet color has shoelaces that are like a ribbon fabric and do not stay tied. It does not matter if I double knot them or pull them tighter than usual, they come untied. I'm not used to having to stop multiple times during the day to tie my shoes. I assume eventually, the laces are going to break. I don't know why the laces are not consistent with the different colors.

I will like to say for this item you should order a full size up and the item runs narrow the color options are nice. The item is not as great as the Ghost 11 the toe box is not as large. Please make the future items like the Ghost 11.

I have to say first..why oh why do these manufacturers have to change their sneakers every year?? And if they do change, why not still allow people to special order the previous version? It's so frustrating when you have a lot of feet issues like I do. I wanted to like these, and actually bought both the 11 and 12 to compare. The 12 did go back to the better laces, and seems more cushioned, but WHY would Brooks put a seam along the heel of the shoe?? The seam hits on both sides of my heel, and I feel it through my socks. With most manufacturers trying to eliminate seams, why add something like this, which doesn't do anything for the shoe? I also would love to know why only one color is ever made for narrow feet in each shoe - even New Balance does this.

I loved these out of the box, but within a few weeks, avg 4 miles/day, they began to hurt my feet. It felt like all the cushioning was minimal. I did not have this happen with previous versions of the shoe. It might be good for someone doing light and minimal walking or who doesn't need as much cushioning support as I do. Thank goodness for the "Run Guarantee". These will go back.

Very comfortable in shoe feel but it failed my slight supination test, which is I turn my foot slightly outward in every running shoe I buy...if the shoe "catches" it from turning excessively out I don't buy it. I wear heavy on the outside of my shoes and I need that outer stability. Too bad, beautiful shoe and high quality. Also seemed a bit narrow in toe box even for a wide.

This was my first try with GHOST 12. I usually buy Adrenaline 19 or Addiction brand but you had poor choice selection for my size/width this time. I wear custom orthodics so it's important that I have enough room in the toe box. Sorry but the Ghost was really tight. Maybe size 11 might work? My orthodics barely fit inside too.

I thought there would be more cushioning in the sole but to my surprise there wasn’t. I work long hours on my feet and there’s no way this shoe would survive that.

My first experience with Brooks sneakers was with the Ghost 11 style. When I put them on for the first time, it was like the heavens opened and delivered a shoe that was custom-made for my feet! I decided to buy a pair of the Ghost 12 in my usual size 7.5 and I am a little disappointed. While my left foot feels fine, my right foot by my big toe just feels just a tad tight. I thought it was maybe the way the sock was laying against my toe, but there is something different about either the length of the shoe or the toe box. I had my husband feel my big toe on my right foot while wearing the Ghost 12 and then wearing the Ghost 11, and he confirmed that there is slightly more room around my big toe in the Ghost 11. I was considering sizing up to an 8 in the Ghost 12, but I think I'm going to just buy more Ghosts 11s while they're in stock and on sale.

I was really excited when the 12's came out because the 11's felt too narrow and the overall feel just wasn't a plush feeling. Love the cushioning on the 12's and they do have some decent color choices but what is going on with the narrow toe box's? I can wiggle my toes and have a tiny bit of room, lengthwise, in these but my forefoot feels too tight, like maybe the shoes have become to narrow where the strings are or they have shortened the toe box area. I am not sure what is going on but they are different. The Ghost 8's were my favorite model of the ghosts, not for color options but for overall comfort and fit. I loved the gray and teal ghost 9's but the toe box felt more narrow and that is when the squeezed forefoot feelings really started for me. The 10's were okay toe box room wise but not the prettiest version. I had my feet professionally measured at a local running shoe store recently. My left foot is a narrow width and my right foot is a medium width, so why is it that medium width in the ghost shoes and even in the wide width, is my right foot feeling squeezed together in the toe box area??? They have obviously changed something with these shoes. I have read other reviews that mentioned the same exact thing. It's not just the ghost model but also the glycerin model. I absolutely love the glycerin 17's for overall comfort and color options but same issue, medium width is squishing my right foot so I tried width and they were practically falling off, so I had to return the wide and stay with medium width because I have worn them too much to return, but I am still having the squeezed forefoot issue with my right foot. Another reviewer who also is having this same issue had to go up a half size larger than what she usually wears, so I am about to try that and if that works. After that I will give up and start the long process of searching for a running shoe that doesn't squeeze the foot in the toe box area. Have loved Brooks since the ghost 8 and glycerin 13's came out but they have made some changes to the newer models which can't be ignored. The foot doesn't lie! :-)

This Ghost is extremely comfortable, almost *too* soft and squishy. If you want a ton of cushioning, this is it. But I'm looking for a bit more stability, so I exchanged the Ghost for the Adrenaline. Fingers crossed!

I am not sure if it was the particular pair of shoes I had, but the left and right shoes felt totally different from each other. The cushion in the left shoe felt good, but the right shoe felt more flat and it was noticeable when I walked on the treadmill at the gym. I also found that the left shoe did not feel as stable and made my foot turn in as it was a little wider in the heel. I am going to order the Ghost 11 and see how those fit.

Loved the ghost 11s and thought I’d love these - unfortunately I wasn’t a fan of a couple of things. 1. The extra hole for a secure lacing was pushed back too far 2) the laces are bulky and hard to tie especially when you use a secure knot 3) the plastic on the top felt a bit cheap as compared to the knit of the 11s and 4) there was an uncomfortable amount of support - all in all the new fit resulted in leg pain and shin splints (even after 10+ miles). The pain went away after I went back to my old ones. Will have to look for a different shoe this year :(.

I have a pair of Brooks Ghpst 10 that I love, I wish I had known before they discontinued that style that the future Ghost models would not be nearly as comfortable. As soon as I out them on, I could tell that the footbed was not as cushy ( and this is main reason I like the Ghost10).

I love Brooks, but this shoes has something going on in the back and gave me awful blisters each time I wore (3 times and I couldn’t finish my walk any time because of the pain).

These have been worn for approx 30 miles of sidewalk running. I ONLY run in Brooks and this is not my first pair of Ghosts... I'm highly disappointed with the quality of this shoe- I've never seen anything like this from Brooks. It's fraying and falling apart l already, something I've never experienced with this product before. Usually the tread is run down long before the shoe is worn out.

These were noticeably wider and less long than my prior pair of Brooks sneakers (Bedlam), though both were marked size 8 medium. Did not feel supportive. I'm trying other Brooks models and returning these.

I had high hope for these shoes. I have read lots of great reviews for the Ghost 12's. The peacock color is nice but they didn't work for me. I usually go up a half size in running shoes, and I did the same for these. However, they still felt tight, more narrow than a medium width. They also seemed shorter than other shoes in the same size. My toe was at the tip of the front with little room to move and the padding at the back of the heel was too high, causing discomfort in the heel area. All in all, just not for me.

i bought this shoe in a different color previously and wanted to change the color - but the fabric was different from before. This shoe made my knee hurt and I'm returning. Not sure how color would effect the fit - but it did.

First time trying Brooks. Took them on two test runs. The shoes didn't feel very supportive and my knees hurt afterwards, which I hadn't experienced before. Returning.
