I am a person who tries to walk 10,000+ steps a day. 'm 62 and have been experiencing back problems. I typically walk on flat ground because i was told this is less stressful on lower back pain. . I bought these because people raved that they eased back pain. This was my main concern. After walking in them several times, I found I was almost experiencing more lower back pain. There is lots of cushion in the heals, but so much so that I felt like the shoes were pushing my balance forward. I received no lower back pain relief at all. I believe if you have heal problems- this is your shoe! I feel like the toe box is a weird size. not tight, but the shoes force your feet forward and it just feels awkward and more painful to me. returning.... I will find another pair on Zappos. They are the best!

Love them except they are slippery on the gym floor which they were supposed to be my new indoor gym shoes so might have to just make these my outdoor ones

they look great but not much support

My local running store keeps trying to sell me on the Ghost, so I thought I'd give the 12 a shot. Still a no! It feels like all the cushioning is in the heel area and the part under the ball of the foot feels hard when walking. The tongue is excessively padded. We're talking stuffed animal level. Ended up going with the Ricochet instead.

They make my feet go numb. Wish I hadn’t recycled the box. They were really expensive and now I’m stuck with them ?

They just weren't the right fit for my particular foot problems, but also they seemed to strangle my ankles even when I loosened the laces. I can't figure out why.

Medium width snug in the toe box. So I have mailed back.

These shoes are super-cute, but I had to return them because they run small.

The shoe never felt right. I wore them around the house on two different days. I have worn Brooks Ghost for years. I don’t have foot issues and 9.5 M was always a perfect fit. The style looks like Ghost 10 and 11, but the fit and feel is not even close.

It was tight around my toes and they felt squished! That’s too bad because the shoe was very light and comfortable

Ordered half size up, because recent orders in my regular size haven't felt right. Ghost offers a good variety of color/design options. However, wearing them while walking two of my dogs I felt no sense of true support (crucial in any athletic shoe) & found laces annoyingly short.

My last pair of the Brooks Ghost was the Ghost 10. Loved them. They had a very wide toe box and plenty of cushion in the ball of my foot. These new shoes are a half size too small and have a slightly smaller toe box in that they are wide but tighter across the foot. That might be remedied by ordering up. I usually wear a size 8. I'm going to give it a whirl and order an 8.5. I've never fit in Euro sizes and It seems like that's what some of these companies are trying to push us into. Big bummer.

I have used Ghost since number 7. Always a perfect fit. But these were different. The toe box was narrower and even the shoe itself felt like I was wearing a narrow. I could hardly lace them. So disappointed. Sizing on shoe was listed correctly.

I so wanted to love these shoes but within a few minutes I could feel the lack of support. Lacked the stability that I need.

This shoe is not worth the money not made well

This is an awesome shoe--feels like walking on a cloud! I liked my first pair so much I ordered a second. However, there's a subtle difference between some colors and others--some have a less perforated top and the shoe looks and feels smaller. My first pair was Shark/Violet/Bel Air Blue and felt true to size in a 9.5. Second pair was Tempest/Kentucky Blue; if you look closely at the photo, it has a less perforated top. Felt a half size smaller--my big toe was hitting the front of the shoe. Returning those and trying again.

I LOVE the look of this shoe, it’s one of my favorite designs yet! That being said, I have had Ghost11 shoes for a few years, several pair, and this shoe just isn’t the same. Just a glance at the shoe out of the box and I saw the toe box was more narrow than the 11. I wore the shoe in the house and it felt ok but snug, hard to tell walking around the house how the shoe will work out. I then received notice Zappos would let me wear g th his shoes for thirty days and return if they don’t workout. I wore them one day for a long walk, got a blister on each heel, never before a problem with brooks. Shoe bed did not feel very cushy either. So I will try them a few more days(with band aides on my heels of course). But these might be going back.

Has a good overall feel but not enough cushion for me.

I always wear an 8 but these felt snug.

I have worn size 7.5 Ghosts for many years. I have 3 pairs of Ghost 11s, but found the Ghost 12 to be too short in the toe, and I tried two separate pairs in the 7.5. I did not like the boxier wider shape. The size 8s were too much shoe, especially for my smaller foot. Seems I might have to make a change, even though I like the heel drop and other things about the shoe. Bummed.

I bought 2 colors of the Ghost 12. One was OK but the all black 040 felt narrower and too long in the heel. I suspect that the materials on the 040 were less flexible than in the gray 097 which is very comfortable with no heel rub. The 040 is being returned for heel rub. It isn't the prettiest shoe either but I was looking for an inconspicuous black for certain situations.

This is a good looking shoe and seemed to fit well but I felt my toes were curved up and back bc the toe of the shoe was up. My toes got numb.

I ordered the Ghost 12 shoes because a lot of the reviews said they were close to the Ghost 10's. I disagree! The arch support is not as good. Also the reason I loved the Ghost 10 is because of the rubber toe. I do a lot of running and gym work and if I don't have a rubber toe my toes push through the mesh and leave a hole. I wish Brooks would stop messing with their styles and leave well enough alone. Also wish I could still get the Ghost 10's!!

It fits the foot but it hits my left arch wrong. Drives me nuts because I have worn Brooks ghost for years. Had to stop with the 11. Frustrating because I can’t find something else that works besides wearing crocs for work.

Fit was okay as far as arch support is concerned, but shoes were overall uncomfortable. Footbed was especially difficult for my fussy feet. Need in-person try on.
