I returned them because after wearing them 1 day my feet really hurt.

I've been wearing the Brooks Transcend series and then tried these since I can't find the Transcend anymore. I like the color, but these don't work well with custom orthotics. The toe box is not roomy enough and the bed is not deep enough with a custom orthotic. So the search is on once again. I put on an old pair of Brooks Transcend and they are much better with custom orthotics than the Ghost 12.

I am a long-standing Brooks Ghost fan; for over 5 years. They're supportive, have enough toe room, and are lightweight. However, this model runs 1/2 size shorter and a width narrower. I had to exchange for a larger shoe.

I wish I had all good things to say...but I'm going to be returning these. The back of the shoe is way too high. For shorter runs, it wasn't an issue. But as soon as I tried to do longer runs, it started rubbing the back of my ankle raw. I don't keep shoes that make me bleed, no matter how cute they are. I'm a Brooks fan, but not this version.

I loved the look of the red buffalo plaid. Sadly they were not comfortable enough to keep. My heel kept slipping and the tongue is very stiff. The fit is very different than the Ghost 11.

The granite/peacoat color has a violet cast, didn't care for the color.

Love the plaid, though it was more muted than expected. The tongue was strangely bulky and the color contrasted too much with the cool plaid tones. I wear Adrenalines all the time. Thought I'd try the Ghost. They weren't nearly as comfortable so back they go. Ghost's fit is tighter, (or they're just smaller), and less cushioned than the Adrenalines. My feet need cush after two ankle surgeries. Thought they'd look cute on the foot, but they actually appear wider in the mid foot. Odd shape for me.

I wear an 8.5 wide in the Ghost style. I've been very happy with my multiple pairs of Ghost 10 and 11, but Ghost 12 is narrower and shorter. They're going back. Other than the fit, the cushioning is great and the style is what you'd expect, but once again, wide widths are very limited in colors.

So very disappointed. I have worn Brooks Ghost for over 8 years and they are the first pair of running sneakers I had that gave me no pain, no discomfort and I always had a smooth run. Until the Ghost 12...I tried them out on a short run to test them out and I have been in pain in my right foot for three days. The laces are way to short, which means I have to tighten the laces to much and they are just awful. I’m going to return, and try a different print/color but I for now I’m so very disappointed.

just opened the box and put them on for the first time. After walking around the house for a bit I think I need to return them, the toe box feels narrow and it feels like my big toe is squishing up and sitting on top of the toe next to it. heel cup feels very squishy but kind of shallow.

Well made shoe. To narrow even though I ordered wide. Maybe too much cushioning where the tongue attaches near the toes. I have hammer toes and bunions and these were too tight for both problems. I know there is a shoe out there for me . I’ll just keep trying thanks to the patience of Zappos. Thanks guys....

Still deciding on these or the half size down. Am having a lot of foot problems so nothing really feels good right now so I am frustrated. Thank you Zappos for letting me try stuff.

the fit was good but they lost there support within 6 months and easily attract dirt :(

still trying Brooks off and on because that's what I really want to work but I'm having some foot problems now so I am just not sure if it's going to work out and I don't know what size these seemed a bit short

I have this style in another color combo (black and raspberry) and it’s my favorite shoe. Perfect fit, cushy insole. Ordered another color (grey and Ky blue) and was surprised that it felt almost a half size too long and the arches hit in an uncomfortable spot. Very disappointed.

I have loved Brooks sneakers for years. However the last three pairs of Brooks sneakers have been disappointing. In the past, I could wear the sneakers with out a breaking in period. The last three pair has been too narrow. Something has changed. This new pair Brooks 12 is too narrow. I am seriously considering trying another brand. I’m NOT going to break in sneakers, so I am giving Brooks one last chance to FIX this problem and return Brooks sneakers to their original quality.

I have worn the Brooks Ghost 11 and loved the fit. As mentioned in other reviews, the Ghost 12 does not fit the same. It was too tight across my lower foot as I have a sensitive toe that the Ghost 11 never bothered.

I bought these after reading so many reviews about how comfortable they are, how supportive, etc. Not my experience at all. While they fit true to size and width, there is absolutely no arch support whatsoever. After an hour or so my feet start to hurt and my arches burn from the lack of support. This is my second pair of Brooks and these will be my last. I like a cushioned shoe with good support and Brooks just does not deliver that for me.

I like the off white shade, sometimes stark white shoes are a bit too much. I am usually good with an 8, mostly 7 1/2. But my left big toe pushes the end of the shoe. Brooks is my go-to tennis shoe, so kinda bummed out.

I bought these to replace my worn out Ghost 11s. They look cute, but they aren’t nearly as comfortable and after wearing them to work out a few times I’m already looking to replace them, because they’re killing my feet. Also, the laces they arrived with refuse to stay tied even after they are double knotted—an easy fix, but not what you’d expect at this price point.

I've been a Ravenna runner, but the latest version is too small and narrow for me...even after sizing up. The Ghosts were comfortable and enough rom in the toebox area, however they are not supportive enough for me. I am a neutral/ mild-pronator. I have an arch that collapses every 4-5 steps, so I still need a bit of support that unfortunately these do not give.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I tried them with my orthodox, without my orthotics and it was a no go. The toe box is the same as the Ghost 10 ( ample room) my problem area was the heel was to narrow and with the shoes arch support and my orthotics , it just didn't; work. The color is beautiful I would encourage anyone who loved the Ghost 10 and who doesn't wear orthoctics , to definitely give this shoe a go. I really want to mention that the customer service from zappo is excellent.

I was in Love with Brooks Ghost 9!!! They were the best Brooks shoe by far!!! I have tried the ghost 10 and 12 and hate them!! Why try and change what was already perfect!!! I have also tried the Glycerin 17 and those were even worse that the Ghost 12!!! I am so disappointed!!! I probably would have been a Brooks wearer for life but now I am forced to try other brands!! Thanks Brooks!!?

I have had many pairs of the Ghost 11 and 12 and love the sneaker in general! However, the sherbert/pink color has ribbon-like laces that do not stay tied. I had to return and order a different color as I am running the marathon and don't want to have to stop to tie my laces! Overall highly recommend the ghost 11 for runners and for long distances. However, I'm not sure why Brooks made a running sneaker with bad laces! Don't recommend that color as cute as they are!
