This is my 5th pair of Ghosts but I actually ended up returning them. I normally wear a size 10 in all previous models but this time around they felt small. I returned my pair and am going to head to my local running store to try on a size 10.5 and 11 before I reorder. Other than that I love the shoe. It looks and feels great. I took my size 10s for a test run and they felt great - I will definitely be reordering but a smidge larger.

Wife said it was a little tight for the right foot and not enough arch support. She wasn't too thrilled about the shoelaces...they were thin and flat, like strands of ribbon. Should be like regular shoelaces.

I love the color combination of charcoal grey and lavender. They go with many wardrobe choices. The toe box with a little wider than the Ghost 11. It makes the shoe look larger than the finer detail of the Ghost 11. I prefer the Ghost 11 toe box because I wear a 10 shoe and anything that makes my foot look smaller I like. I have worn Brooks shoes for at least 5 years and appreciate the support. I have aging feet and multiple problems. This shoe provides a good solution to my foot issues and still look somewhat stylish. I would like to see more options that would enable me to wear them for most occasions.

This is my fourth pair of Brooks—second pair of the ghost line. Overall it’s a great shoe, but there are a couple changes I’m not keen on. Firstly, the laces are a slick ribbon-like material and come untied almost EVERY run—even when double-knotted. I never had that problem with my old 8th edition laces. Secondly, I’m missing the high arch support I got with my old pair. While the 12th edition does have moderate support, it’s not great for me and I’m considering inserts to make it more comfortable. I did note similar reviews from other wearers, but decided to try them anyways. Lastly, I wear regular width and can even wear narrow in some shoes, but these definitely fall on the narrow side. With a thicker sock, my feet feel a bit cramped in the toe box. With time I’m hoping the material stretches a bit. In regards to color and design, obviously they look great.

I have two pairs of the Ghost 11 style in a 9 wide that I wear after work and on weekends so when I got a retail seasonal job, I thought I would try these in the all black. I think I will be in the minority, based on these reviews, that I prefer the older style. Let me also say I am NOT a runner! I walk a bit but I just wear these for comfort. First off, the 12's have a tiny arch support that my 11's don't have as obvious; it felt strange. Secondly, Brooks made this "all-black" sneaker with a reflective gray toe! My husband has the black Adrenaline's to wear for his job and they are all black, including the toe piece. The gray made it obvious that these were sneakers because your eye was drawn to the gray so I cannot wear these for a retail job. I normally love my Brooks but since my 11's are in good shape, I will probably just skip the 12's.

I just can't. I love green and I love the black speckled bottoms, but I feel like I'm wearing alien mouthwash on my feet. The green was completely obnoxious and my whole family was all thumbs down. Can we just talk about the colors? I feel like they're all 80 yrs +, male colors for us ladies, or millennial unicorn mud. Nothing in between. I can always find something that works, but I think I'll just go back to the 11s on sale. They fit wonderfully and true to size otherwise.

I bought these because they were recommended for my bunion. IMO, Brooks tend to run about one-half size small compared to other running shoes I have worn like Nike (wear a 9 in Nikes and got a 9.5 in Brooks). These are very cute and pretty comfortable, although they are a tad snug (they don't aggravate my bunion though). They claim to be "cushioned"; they're not any more cushioned than other runners I have used. If I were to buy these again I would buy the wide-width for more room in the toe box.

Shoes look great and makes your feet look small. I bought specifically for the wider toe box. I will need to put a more cushioned insert in but overall I like the shoe

LOVE the Brooks Ghost 11's from last year. Mine are size 9.5. This year ordered the Ghost 12 in 9.5 and found them a bit smaller - my toe just barely touched the end when I walk and that drives me crazy. Also felt narrower, and I have an average foot. So I returned and reordered 1/2 size up to size 10 and NOW they feel perfect, same as my other pair from last year. Thanks zappos for such easy and quick online shopping and especially free returns.

Shoelaces tight, hard to adjust.

I love Brooks Ghosts in general. They are, however, not reliable across the model of shoe in terms of support and comfort. Even my Ghost 10s ran differently- I was so crazy about the first pair that I bought another of the same color/size and they fit completely differently. These Ghost 12s are very lightweight, have good arch support out of the box and the blue were fairly sedate for Brooks. I like them, don't love them, and am keeping them because my old shoes gave up the ghost! I use them mainly for walking and elliptical/floor work, not running. And I always order 1/2 size up in my sneakers.

I have several pairs of Ghost 10 &11s and really like the way they fit. The foIt of Ghost 12 is disappointing. I ordered my regular size, but the shoes felt short and tight. A half size larger worked, but the width is not as comfortable as the 10s and 11s.

I really liked the shoe; good support and looked good. I could not get my orthodic to fit properly.

I like this Ghost 12 for better than the Ghost 11. Feels more secure. Sometimes that meshy stuff that is over most of the shoe makes for flimsiness, but not a problem with this one. My color is a little boring, but that’s not a deal-breaker. They have room for my ortho inserts, too.

The shoe was comfortable, although I have a high instep and the padding on the shoe tongue is a little too much for my foot.

I loved the fit of these shoes. They actually fit my foot better than the ghost 11. Unfortunately I wanted a lighter grey. The color is more dark grey/blueish and did not work for me. I wear an 8.5 in running shoes and these fit perfect.

I loved the Ghost 10s, so of course I returned to the brand and model. These did run a bit tighter overall, causing some pain in the ball of my large toe after testing them on my treadmill. I am returning them and will likely order half size larger once my refund processes. I wish Zappos offered an outright exchange like Amazon does instead of waiting for receipt and processing of the return to issue the refund. I've waited this long, I can wait two more weeks for my next pair. Hopefully that does the trick, or it's back to the drawing board for my next running/walking shoes!

I have worn out my current pair of size 5 Ghost 11s that I have enjoyed for almost a year. I was disappointed that the Ghost 12 was too small.

My usual size is 7.5, 8 in New Balance but needed an 8.5 in these Brooks Ghost 12 sneaks. I add an insole to increase the support and cushioning. I had tried them on in a store but bought them at Zappos because I appreiciate the extraordinary customer service. I received the shoes the day after I ordered them - how do they do that?? Remarkable!

I am replacing my Brooks Ghost 11 with version 12. The shoe feels somewhat firmer than the 11, but still offers good cushioning. I had to size up from 7 to 7 1/2 due to a change in the fit. This new version has more of a sock fit than the 11. Even with sizing up a 1/2, the shoe is tighter across the arch, but the toe box is still sufficiently roomy for me. I don't mind the change, but some may object. Overall, a solid shoe. I'm loyal to Brooks, but will probably explore other models to see if any have retained the looser fit and roomier toe box.

Overall- the Ghost 12 is an improvement over the ghost 11. I tried 3 different sizes of the 11 and sent them all back. I’ve been wearing the Ghost shoe since the 7th version. The 11 is the only one that never worked. Wore 4 pairs of the Ghost 10. The 12 is similar to the 10th style- room in the toe box and comfortable for those of us with narrow heels. The thick foam on the bottom- which most shoes seem to have now- makes the shoe look clunky compared to the sleek style of the 10. That’s really my only complaint.

These are fantastically comfortable but one caveat-- buy regular shoelaces and take out the silky, ribbon-like ones. Even double-knotted, they come undone constantly.

I'm very satisfied with this shoe. I normally purchase Mizuno running shoes because I have high arches, relatively slender feet and I supinate. This is my first foray into Brooks in almost 30 years. They seem great! I have my own inserts, and so I removed the Brooks insert and slid mine in and they are quite comfortable. The shape of the shoe and laces do not cut off circulation (due to my high arch) and they offer flexible yet structured support. I recommend.
