I love Mizuno shoes and will not change brand. However the color of these shoes was very disappointing and I had to return them.

I've been a loyal Mizuno customer since I happened upon a pair of them on a sale table over a decade ago. I put them on and I realized I felt the arch support I always dreamed of having. I was not a runner at the time but since then, I've taken up running 6-9miles/wk. This whole time, I've only ever purchased Mizuno. Why make life difficult if it works? Unfortunately, over time, Mizuno has slowly eroded the arch support with each new version of the same shoe...and I've stuck with them...until now. Not only are these a half size too small but there's basically nothing in the arch. What gives? I sent these back and ordered a half size up hoping it was just hitting me in the wrong spot on my foot. Better length but still tight in the width and zero arch support. They've ruined a perfectly good shoe and lost a brand loyalist. Dumb.

I've been running in Mizuno's for years and was such a fan. Unfortunately this latest model is a dud for me. Tried these in my regular Mizuno size (10.5 w) and the toe box was just too narrow. Sized up a half size like many suggested and they ended up being too long in length. That wasn't clear until I'd started running in them for a few weeks so unfortunately can no longer exchange — I persisted with thicker socks and thought they were working but my feet are complaining. Going to have to try a different brand — why do shoe brands always end up compromising on width when they redesign?!

I've bought Mizuno's for over 15 years. This model is smaller than all others. Disappointed. Also, on a separate note, why do you make older models so hard to find?

These shoes are sooooo painful!!! The ball of foot area is absolutely terrible. I have not had more pain by a shoe before. And then it was too late to return. I’m super bummed.

I've been buying the Mizuno Wave Rider style for years because they've consistently been comfortable and performed well. Unfortunately, the design change on the toe box of the 23 makes them unwearable for me. Putting the toe reinforcement on the inside may make the shoe look slightly sleeker, but it narrows the inside space and creates an uncomfortable ridge. These had to go back, and I'm scrambling to find a 22 while they're still available. Unless Mizuno fixes this problem in next year's model, I'm done with this brand.

Have always bought WR shoes and found them perfect with never any problems, until now. The 23 upgrade hurts my feet in so many places. My toes are getting blisters from the toe box being narrow while the length and width is otherwise fine. Also, the opening of the shoe rubs against my ankle so bad I needed to take the laces out the top hole to take the pressure off. Finally, they appear to have less cushioning underfoot and around 7miles plus start to ache which I've never had before. Looking everywhere for a WR22 in size 10 but seems to not exist anymore so will have to change brand :( very disappointed

I wore Wave Riders for 10 years, but Mizuno decided to cancel all production of narrow width shoes. So much for inclusive sizing! When they did produce narrow sneakers, the shoes were sold out within months, while regular widths continued to be available. It's like the company pays no attention to consumer interest or the market.

I ordered my usual size in an 8.5 and they felt too tight/small so I ordered a 9. BIG mistake. My foot slid forward in the 9 and I suffered a mild injury on my problemed foot. The worst Mizuno Wave Rider I have ever had. I'm on the lookout for an older version. Fix this, Mizuno!

I have been a Mizuno WR fan for years - both in long distance training and long distance events. Loved this shoe previous to its recent WR 23 upgrades, specifically a narrower toe box feel that has been causing pain while running. My toes feel cramped immediately and unable to find relief while running in the WR23.
