I've run lots of miles in these shoes since receiving them about 2 weeks ago - everything from short easy runs to long harder efforts (yesterday went over 16 in them!) as well as a threshold workout. They feel great and I love how versatile and responsive they've been. I really appreciate the sleek and light knit design of the upper, and the treads are sturdy but not stiff. They are also holding up well so far in the heat and humidity (I am so grossed out by how much I am sweating these days and they aren't getting soggy like some of my other shoes have - maybe time will tell but they seem to be handling these conditions well!). I really love this shoe.

I've been wearing these shoes while I run recently and I am in love with how lightweight they are! My legs feel super fresh post-runs as well, which is a win! Seriously loving everything about these shoes!

The Mizuno Wave Rider 23 is a comfortable shoe that I use for my easier paced runs. I love the cushion and the secure fit, and the styling is attractive too.

I haven't ran in the Wave Rider for about 7+ years but I really like the new Wave Runner 23's. I love the all-new updated breathable mesh on the top of the shoe and even though I probably would not use these for speed work, I look forward to using them as a staple in my longer/recovery miles for marathon training. Lots of support and super comfortable! My feet are definitely a fan.

These are honestly the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned. They have the perfect amount of cushion and are super lightweight. The heel is thick and springy, without being clunky. They fit true to size.

I've been an on-and-off runner since high school and one of the factors causing my off-seasons was terrible shin splints that would make any walking hurt for days. After getting back into running earlier this year, I decided to get serious about my equipment to try and keep the pain at bay. This is the first pair of good running shoes I've had and oh my gosh- the difference is incredible. I train at Orange Theory 3-4 times a week and since getting these, I have had exactly zero issues with shin splints. I've even found myself able to do sessions three days in a row with no pain when typically, my shins would be crying after the second. You can really feel the heel support in these when you hit your stride and the nice, tight fit means they aren't sliding or moving, so your feet stay exactly where they are designed to. They also have a nice bounce to them, which means good knee support and makes them more comfortable/fun for general wear. I tend to run in-between sizes (8.5-9), depending on what brand I'm getting- went up with these ones and they fit well. The design also looks nice in person, very sleek. Overall, these shoes are awesome! I can't recommend them enough!

The wave rider 23 is a great shoe! lots of support and lightweight, and great for long runs. The mesh and light material makes the shoe ideal for hot summer heat. highly recommend!

I first fell in love with Mizuno, and more specifically the wave rider, a few years ago when I purchased a pair for my first half marathon. I am typically a level 3-4 in running shoes so I definitely like more support, but what I really love about this new Wave Rider is the all terrain use. It's great to wear running/walking as well as in the gym, it provides great arch support without an overwhelming amount of cushion or feeling as if you have an extra heel or inserts in. I wear this shoe for pretty much all activities. The only thing different I noticed is this shoe seems to run quite a bit smaller, I am usually a 7.5-8 in regular shoes but often buy 8.5 in my running and gym shoes, but with this one I really could have gone for a 9 or even 9.5 to have some room. The toe box is still great and classic to the comfortable Mizuno fit!

Really love the look of this shoe, and the pale purple color works for me. They do run small, and I had to order half a size bigger. I usually wear a women's 8.5 and bought a 9 which ended up being perfect. Thanks to the other reviews on this shoe for giving me this tip!

I can't run anymore but use this as my walking and gym shoe. It provides great support. The reason i gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is the color. I feel like an old lady in the pale pink, but all the other colors they offered were too garish and bright. I wish Mizuno would always carry a basic white running shoe with fun accent colors.

I've been wearing Wave Riders since the 15s (didn't have every iteration in between). Most recently I am using a pair of 22s and love them. I bought a pair of the 23s after reading reviews. I had a fit issue with the toe box area - it felt significantly smaller/tighter than previous versions of the shoe. I returned them - easy process. I re-purchased a pair of 22s instead. I don't know if it was just a fluke - but I know that I didn't see this issue in any other reviews I saw comparing the 22s to the 23s. Maybe I just need to find a brick and mortar store to try on a 1/2 size up...but I've always worn the same size in any version.

The reviews are correct and this version runs a half a size smaller than previous models. I have worn Mizuno Waver Riders for the last 15 years and have always just gone up half a size from my normal shoe size which is typically for running sneakers. This is the first time I have ever had to up even further. I went up a full size in this model.

I've been wearing Mizuno Wave Rider for about 6 years now after they were recommended to me following a number of foot fractures. Great shoes for runners with high arches. Wave Rider 23 runs smaller than previous versions I've worn. I typically size up half a size (10.5), but this time I found that I needed to go up a full size (11). Note that I last wore Wave Rider 21, so I'm comparing to that older version, not the more recent 22.

Very good fit, although I preferred the Wave Rider 22 fit at the ankles. The laces for the Wave Rider 23 were changed from previous styles, seem cheap.

I am a runner and have been wearing Mizuno Wave Riders for the last several years. I do the love the support they give for my neutral foot type. I am a little disappointed in the toe box region with the 23's. Feels very snug and my first toe slightly protrudes the upper material which I am so disappointed. Unfortunately I will have to purchase at a store and try on the shoe before purchasing again online due to the toe box issue.

They are very comfortable, but they run small I am usually a size 7. I ordered a 7.5 and it still felt snug on my big toe.

I love Mizunos. I'd run my others into the ground, so I'm still getting used to new shoes, but so far, these have held up to my expectations.

I had to order a full size up. These are great shoes but they do run narrow. Overall I really like them for running and working out. I would reorder.

My first pair of running shoes was a Mizuno waverider for 10 years ago! And I've bought Mizuno wave riders ever since. They just fit my feet needs and support my feet the right places. This pair is no exception!

After reading reviews, I decided to get a size larger then I usually wear. I ordered a 9.5; I typically wear an 8.5. The size I ordered fit really well. They are indeed only comfortable but wouldn’t have fit at all if I ordered my usual size. They support my underpronation problem also. I wish they would have had a better color selection but such is life.
