shoe I bought was labelled as 10 EE inside the shoe but clearly much smaller. Seen here with my old shoe of the same size. I compared also to another shoe of the same model and size that I own and again the same discrepancy. I wonder if this is a knock off? Not happy to have to go through the trouble of the return.

These shoes are continually being sized down. It is not even funny. There is no quality control. I feel guilty ordering, because you never get the size correct, and no two pair of the same shoes is the same size. I will have to go back to in person trying on. No fun.

I have purchased and worn this New Balance shoe, Made in the USA, for years! This is the only shoe I have worn daily at home for years. This shoe is not the same since it is no longer Made in the USA! It feels "boxy", too padded around the top, the top feels lower now also. With the thick padding and too low, the shoes does not hug the foot and is low, therefore does not give a snug, supporting fit when tied. The material is coarse, the mess is like plastic. I need the roll bar for arthritic feet, I loved the USA shoe. These shoes I have to return! I am very disappointed in New Balance taking the shoe out of the USA to be made. Shame on them!! I appreciated the quality shoe. I paid the price. Now it is not a quality shoe and the price is the same! The shoe does not feel the same on my feet in any way!! Very unhappy. I have been happily wearing NB 1540 for years while walking 5 miles a day. Recently the company started manufacturing these shoes in Vietnam instead of the U.S.A. I ordered a pair -- it looked the same as the USA version and the size felt similar enough. But as I walked in them, my feet were moving all over the place and I realized that the Vietnam-made shoe lacked all of the the support, stability and cushioning of the previous version. Thanks to Zappo's generous return policy for running shoes, I was able to wear them outside and return them for a refund within 30 days. I can no longer recommend the 1540 and I have since learned that most New Balance running shoes are now being manufactured overseas.

I order a pair about every 6months. The quality and fit/comfort are great. Just wish they’d change/update the color options. They have had the same 3 colors for years.

I have worn this model of shoe for years and i just keep replacing them. My insoles fit into them perfectly and works great.

I overpronate severely and happy that I bought this recently (my 1st NB shoe). I use these as indoor shoes (aka “slippers”), otherwise I have foot pain. I’m on my feet a lot in the kitchen and running around the house. Took about 24 hrs to go used to; I hope these last awhile. WISH they made these in more fashionable colors (black&white, navy&pink). I would buy more and wear for social events.

They are true to size and width arches are great my feet have never felt better

This is my 2nd pair of NB1540's. Love the heel stability and padding. I usually wear 9 1/2 but I needed wide width. They ran a half size larger so I'm returning for a half size smaller. All in all a great walking or running shoe.

Too short i wear 8 and it was too short

I am so grateful these came in a narrow width, extremely hard to find shoes to fit my size 11 narrow, I have flat feet and need a lot of support and theses were very supportive,

I took these shoes on my trip to South Africa . They were perfectly comfortable from the first day. Very comfortable.

Comfortable, good fit. Wish they were offered in more colors.
