In the 11.5 the shoe was too narrow at the ball of the foot, and I am developing corns on the little toes. Also, the heel is a bit wide and my heel slips up and down with every step. The laces are too short. They give you an extra pair of holes to tighten up the heel end of the shoe because it is made too wide, BUT they do not give you long enough length in the laces to use that last pair of holes. Overall, though, I am usually severely in need of shoes so I have to go with poor-fitting styles. this shoe does not fit me well but it is the least of many evils. ;) I do commend New Balance for foraging into the longer sizes for women, though, and will be buying another pair should they come back in stock, little toe corns and all. I should also say that this shoe is of their quality line, from what I can tell. Not the kind of model you will find in big box stores or discount shoe stores.

I PURCHASED THESE NB SHOES FOR EVERYDAY WALKING AND WORKING OUT. THE QUALITY HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RELY ON. I LIKE THE SUPPORT THE NB RUNNING SHOES DELIVER AND BEING A NARROW IT IS A CHALLENGE TO FIND AN ATHLETIC SHOE WITH THAT BEING SAID I LIKE THE COLORS AND THE SUPPORT AND HAVE LONG REALIZED THAT TO FIND MY WIDTH AND QUALITY I HAVE HAD TO PAY MORE THAN THE AVERAGE SHOE. THE SHOE LACES ARE THE SHORTEST I HAVE EVER HAD IN AN ATHLETIC SHOE AND THE TONGUE IS VERY SHORT IN BOTH SHOES. I EXPECT BETTER QUALITY FROM NEW BALANCE.

I purchased these sneakers a few months ago. I work retail and walk on a concrete floor 8 hours a day. I thought they would be perfect, and were wide enough, but my feet ached by the end of the day. The heel area is well cushioned, but the balls of my feet felt like I was walking directly on the concrete floor. I spent alot of money on sneakers that now sit in my closet. I now return to the hunt for replacements.

The shoes were laced but apparently no one noticed that there were two missing eyelets on the right shoe. I took a small Phillips screwdriver and a hammer and punched in the holes.

I bought these last June and found they were great for my flat feet and plantar fasciitis - if not a little stiff! - but even though I didn't put too many miles on them I noticed the mesh near the toe starting to separate. Others have said this and I agree that $170 shoes should last a little longer than four months under light wear.

The fit is definitely is ok.I've had them since the beginning of 2020 and already have hole in the little toe area. This is the second pair that I have in one year and with the same problem with the little hole

Nice shoes. I like the fabric and styling even better than the other pair. But I returned these because they do not have the toe room I need.

Wearing New Balance running shoes for 30 years, and this is the first one to disappoint. Lip too short, uncomfortable. Laces too short to double knot. Returned the shoe and purchased Brooks instead. I hope NB corrects this in future models.

I like Brooks, but I have always loved New Balance and hope you'll correct this so I can buy again.

I should have listened to the other reviews. One wouldn't think having a too short of a shoe tongue would make a such a difference. But it does. I hate that I spent this much money on these shoes. They are a pain in the you know where to put on with this short tongue.

I love New Balance shoes and prefer them to any others. However, this pair felt like there was no cushioning and the arch felt so high it hurt. I am looking into a different pair of insoles for comfort. For peripheral neuropathy and flat feet these two things are very important. If not, they'll be returned.

I was ver hopeful about these shoes as the description touted they were made to support overpronation. Even with orthotics in them my ankles were still rolling in. These were quite disappointing - especially at this price point.

They're OK, but not the best I've ever had. I wish I hadn't paid so much for them.

I expected these shoes to be very comfortable considering the high price but wasn't impressed by them and had to return.

These snaeakers are very well made, but are heavy and "clunky". The bottom of the sole is very flat, which to me, coupled with the weight, are not good qualities in a running shoe. However, the toe box is very wide and high, so If you have that type of foot, these may be good for you. They would also make a better winter sneaker than a summer one. As mentioned in other reviews, the tongue is not cushioned enough near the ankle. I cannot even do calf stretches with them on, but I've unlaced the top hole and it's better. I will be getting different shoes for running, but will use these for other things as they are roomy and pretty comfortable.

Alot of New Balance I need to get a 4E instead of 2E, but these shoes run wide and if I had ordered a 2E they would have been great. Very comfortable just too wide.

The heel did not have enough support and it felt lower than the rest of the shoe. I have worn the 990's for years and was looking for a lighter alternative which this shoe provides but the height of the heel was not in balance with the rest of the shoe. Wish they worked.

I absolutely love the rollbar options--I have always bought my NB shoes with this option. I have been very happy with this particular line in terms of its comfort, protection (I have weak ankles), and durability but was a bit disappointment with the current version's color options--would have loved to see more feminine or fun color options. This shoe series tends to run a bit small, I am usually between 8 and 8.5 but a size 9 fits perfect.

The only this I found disconcerting was the tongue, it's not as long as other New Balances. It's a real struggle to get them on without the tongue sliding into the shoe along with my foot! There appears to be a huge seam allowance at the front of the shoe, perhaps it was sewn incorrectly. I have had to resort to a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it up where it needs to be ....

I have been jogging in the 1080s for several years and like them; however, they made some significant changes to the shoe that don’t make them look sturdy enough. I ran 3.25 miles in my new 1540s this morning. They are very stiff in the heal. I hope that they will break in better. My feet hurt but I think after some more jogs they may feel better, however, depending on that I may make these my dog walking shoes and go back to the 1080s. Only time will tell.
The shoes feel large. I wear an 8.5 in the 1080s and these seemed way too big. I am wearing an 8 now, and there is still a lot of room between my big toe and the top of the shoe. Hopefully I don’t get blisters.

These shoes seem to run large to me. Usually I wear an 11w or 12w in women's. These were sized at 12w, but felt a full half size larger. Very roomy in the toe box, to a fault. No one wants their feet (toes) pinched, but for me it was just too much. I'm sending them back. Oh, and the coloring was very disappointing. The light grey is very dull and drab. I guess i was looking for something a bit more girly in coloring.

PROS: - The sneakers felt like they were made from really good quaity materials. I've noticed that lately, some NB sneakers feel like they are made of cheaper quality (the laces, mesh upper, etc.). But these felt like they were made from high quality materials. - The look is great. - I am EXTREMELY picky about which sneakers I can use because I have terribly flat feet, and even with my special-made orthodics, if I don't have the perfect sneakers, I get very bad debilitating knee pain such that I can't walk at all. So the right sneakers for me are major. And these sneakers seemed like they were very good and supportive around the ankle. (They also fit my orthodic (which is called a UCBL - named after the University of Berkley in CA where it was developed), and it's made extra deep for pronation control. Even with these deeper orthodics, the sneakers were big enough to hold them and have room for my own feet.) So, I wasn't able to wear these long enough to say 100% they would be good for me and my overpronation, but, when I tried them on, they felt like they probably would've been great for my knee pain. CONS: I still decided to return these because of sizing. I'm usually a women's 7.5 B (standard width) in NB sneakers so I ordered this same size and the toe box was too wide and spacious.
