I thought this shoe had average support. Brooks Ariel is significantly more supportive, albeit so much uglier. I wanted so badly for my huge feet to fit in these since they’re a normal color for a young adult to wear and not hideous, but they just weren’t wide enough. The wide wasn’t available in my size so I exchanged for the double wide, which were too wide. C’est la vie, am I right?

I've been wearing this one since 2002 and this pair runs small and tight with short shoe strings. I need this shoe for medical reasons. I am very disappointed.

I like the shoes except for the color I didn't realize blue was gonna be so bright

I inadvertently ordered the wrong shoe width; returned shoes asap, but it seems that getting my refund is taking a while. I plan to order the correct size, but I won't order new ones until I have received notice that money has been refunded.

The soles may wear better, the toe box is wider, the shoe is longer, the heels are roomy (not what I needed), No complaints about the tongue length. this is the fifth pair of 1540 V3, so I know the differences. This pair will be my last, have already begun my search. I am very disappointed! Will try to return if their website will allow (it did not for the last two days) . Forget trying to contact customer service, no phone answering, no reply to email or text.

This shoe is very stiff and the colors unattractive. It is wide but that is about it.

Bought these for comfort. Just not as comfortable as my past pairs of New Balance. Disappointed.

I love the roll bar, really adds to stability. Unfortunately with my ankle brace & orthotics The was stiff & put pressure on my ankle.

I have worn this shoe for 5 years. I received my new pair and there is a total difference in this shoe. The insole is thin and flimsy, my heal hurt 15 minutes into wearing this shoe.

The shoes fit fine, but the tongue is short and rubs against the top of my foot when laces are tied. They have quite a wide toe box and make one's feet look quite large. But the roomy toe box does create more comfort, so I guess it is a payoff that way.

AT the recommendation of an orthotist, I ordered this shoe to use with my new orthotic. He said the actual shoe platform was wider and would work with my wide foot better than other shoe platforms. The problems was the “W” version of this shoe, which means a taller, more voluminous toe box, was too tight on the top of my arthritic toe, even using the shoe’s original insole. The shoe did offer a very stable feel when walking but the toe box and it’s stabilizing lines hurt my feet too much to keep the shoes.

Style: color and design fine- could be more snazzy Fit: secure and snug Sole: firm- not as flexible as i like in running sneakers...my feet hurt a bit and so do my shins after a workout...may give it a few more rounds before i give up Made in USA was what i wanted to support...

Very comfortable, but after only a dozen wears both had holes worn thru on the toe from the inside. This should not happen for the price of these sneakers.

Very supportive, but stiff, which was not good for my plantar fasciitis. For an orthopedic type show, it's cute.

Fit is good and allowed me to put my orthotic insert. This is my third one of this brand of NB. Biut it is not the same feel and make anymore. It has a very stiff sole and fabric.

I bought these because the 1260 was no longer available. They feel more like a cross trainer to me. I use them for lifting.

They just were not flexible and “cushy” enough for me, and felt too small.

I have been wearing New Balance sneakers in a size 10 med. for years, and they have been great for my feet that have some issues. This pair, while it seemed to be the correct size, caused pain in my left toe within minutes of walking around inoors on carpeted floors. I had o return them. I was so disappointed, because I love the look!

While these shoes did fit, they were not comfortable for walking. So I cannot imagine they would be comfortable for any other type of physical exercise. Normally a medium width will fit my slightly narrow width. But these shoes did not provide the stability I needed. Also, there was not the overall cushiony support I was looking for. For the price I was looking for perfection.

I am a long-time New Balance customer. Their shoes have solved my plantar fasciitis and pronation problems better than any shoe I have tried. The only significant warning: I had to buy this current set only 4 months or so after my previous pair because a hole almost immediately opened up in the toe tip of one shoe. This appeared to be a defect in the shoe, and just kept increasing in size. I have bought the exact same pair, and will see if the same thing happens. I devoutly hope this was a one-time problem. Another bone to pick: it would help SO much if New Balance would offer more color options, especially color options a little less vibrant. Especially before I retired, I need somber colors more suitable for the work place.

New Balance is the only sneaker I wear, but I was surprised by my latest pair. The quality of the sneaker material has gone down drastically. The fabric portion of the sneaker is flimsy at best. What once was a stronger frame between sole of shoe and material is now a cheap almost duck tape looking frame. The only thing that remained solid is the rubber sole otherwise I would have returned. Sorry to say, but after 25 years, time to look for a new studier brand.
