NB shoes are my favorite walking/running shoe. Since my narrow foot tends to pronate, NB has the best 2A shoes for stability and comfort. This shoe would get 5 starts for stability and comfort, but the tongue is a problem because it is too short. I solved this problem by holding the tongue when I put the shoes with my left hand while putting the shoe one with my right hand. Then I pull the tongue firmly and lace up. Now the shoe is completely comfortable and fits perfectly. Until I used the pliers, I couldn't get the tongue to go in place properly. If the tongue had not been so short, I would given 5 stars.

The last 3 times I have purchased this shoe, the laces have been way too short. Love the shoes, but can't take this much longer! Also, the only shoe I order in a size 10, every other shoe I wear is a 9.

I love the idea of Made in USA. My problem is this is not the usual New Balance shoe that I walk in. I wish my usual shoe were made in the USA. I don't mind paying a higher price. The fabric seemed a little stiff, considering it is not my usual shoe I can't really compared it.

So far, this sneaker is not showing the normal wear on the outer edge of the shoe heal. Chose the sneaker per the suggestion of an employee at NB. This employee actually new what they were talking about. I am rarely able to find and try on the sneakers in store as my size isn't normally carried in store, size 12. I will def order again, just wish you would lower the price a bit.

I have been buying these shoes for several years now. I only wear for 3 months and this is the second pair that the toe has ripped loose! Ordinarily I love them. They are super comfortable, have a nice big toe box and make my feet happy. The v2 had much better color choices for women which I like the hot pink and dark blue. The new color choices are not girl friendly unfortunately. New Balance is the best shoe on the planet I just wish they would make women's colors more feminine, you know, with PINK!

Very comfortable shoe. Wish it came in a solid neutral color other than gray. Only problem is the tongue slides to the side as I wear them. Pleased with shipping time.

The footbed of this show felt very stiff, so I selected another New Balance style instead.

I've worn different versions of this shoe for over 15 years, and it consistently has been a great shoe for my problem feet. I have three frustrations: 1) The model number changes periodically -- I don't know why? With every change I need to check to see if I still wear the same size. That's hard when I have to order them online. 2) The actual shoe shape has changed twice. Since I wear orthotics inside the shoes, I've had to purchase new orthotics. 3) The shoelaces are never long enough to do the cross over for the top two holes (as demonstrated by New Balance personnel). Is there a way to order the matching shoelaces in a longer size?

I would have given 5 stars in every category if the laces were longer. Fit and feel are just right but had to buy different laces to be able to achieve that. I really am pleased with them other than that.

Very well constructed. I love they are made in the USA, that is why I purchased them. They did not work for me personally; the soles were just too hard for my feet.

This is a great and comfortable shoe. Good support for my plantar fasciitis. I did not give it five stars for two reasons. The shoelaces are too short. I had to request longer laces from New Balance. They were very helpful in replacing the laces. The other problem is that the tongue is too short. Hopefully New Balance will correct these problems in future shoes.

have several pair of this sneaker. I would love it if they would put the tab back. the tab makes it so much easier to fit. I agree with the other reviewer, tongue is short and the lace touches your skin. My laces were too short and I had to change them. also changed the insoles to my orthopedic ones. why do they make such and expensive shoe with such a poor insert, but they are all that way.
I'd also recommend:

I'm a nurse and have worn New Balance almost exclusively for work for many years. Bought this pair to replace my current work pair. Can't usually buy without trying on first but with my local NB store being closed I decided to give it a shot. The width is perfect and I'm able to use my custom orthotics with them. My only complaint - and this is why I'm returning them - is that there's a good deal of slipping in the heel and since I'm on my feet for over 12 hrs in a work night, that won't do. Maybe I just need to size down a half size but I've decided to wait until I can actually try them on in store again. Thanks NB for prompt shipping of what appears to be a really well-made shoe!

I’ve been wearing this shoe for a long time. They accommodate orthotics very well. The only real con is the sole wears out quickly. Because of that I buy two pairs and alternate weekly. I wish New Balance would create a better sole.

Generally, I buy New Balance when looking for walking shoes because I need Wide shoes and these proved to have the most styles in wide and be the most comfortable. I bought two pairs recently so as not to have to wear the same pair every day. The only complaint is that the shoelaces are too short.

These shoes feel comfortable and accommodate my orthotics. The only issue I have: They squeak and make noise when you walk. When walking on a walking path, people can definitely hear you approach them from behind!
