The colours are lovely. The fit is 1/2 size smaller than what I would take for the Nike Pegasus. For springiness, it's not great. Uphill, I found maybe the toe is a bit sturdy, but downhill and flat - it's a mediocre shoe, and definitely no help for running light and fast. I'm very disappointed, but I really wanted a Made in USA running shoe, and this was the only brand listed for running - but I would not recommend this shoe for runners. Overall, I find it to be a clunky shoe. Maybe okay for walks or just daily wearing around, but it's not going to be worth the price compared to other walking shoes in my opinion. it's also wide, and I have a normal to narrow foot so not great for side to side stability. Maybe good for wide feet.

I LIKED THE OLD STYLE BETTER. THESE RUB MY HEELS. I TRIED THEM FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEY STILL RUB BY HEELS AND AREN'T AS COMFORTABLE. I WANT TO RETURN THEM FOR REFUND.

I thought the pink shoe was just lovely looking especially with only pink and white colors. Unfortunately, it was too deep a style shoe, and the back of the upper heel portion dug into my leg. Even the front part sat too high, and was uncomfortable. I had purchased many pair of the New Balance running shoes in style 1080 BG6m which fit perfectly. There is quite a difference in the depth of these shoes. Also noted that the shoelaces were quite short, and it would be difficult to make a bow with too little tie available. Wish I could have kept these as I loved the appearance of them.

I have worn this model (and its updated versions) for over 20 years. My pair is definitely a defective pair.

I used it as an every day shoes essential to be on my foot more than 9 horas. However every time that I am acquiring a new pair, the quality is decreasing. I need to start the journey of try other brands!

I was so excited about these shoes but they are so narrow & it makes them really uncomfortable to wear. I got the regular size & don't have wide feet but maybe that's where I went wrong. Be careful!

I bought these new New Balance 990v5s to replace my old identical sneakers which are also size 9.5. However, this new pair of 990v5s are noticeably shorter in length than my old pair.

I wanted the exact USA made model but they changed the tongue on shoe and made it larger. The tongue comes up too high now and hurts my ankle. URGHHHHH

The style is perfect however as soon as I put these on they hurt my shins, knees, and spine almost immediately. I tried them on 3 separate days just in case and still they hurt. These sneakers offer no support

So disappointed in this high priced shoe. The thin wafer insole has absolutely NO support and feel like a duck walking. Been wearing them for 2 weeks and my legs and knees hurt. Contacted Customer Support .

Purchased these sneakers in 2020 and 2022. When I purchased them in 2020, paying the high price of $174.00 I thought these sneakers would hold up they did not. On the upper part of this sneaker, they have an area of weave before the molded trim well that gave way to a hole in the upper right side of the sneaker. I chalked that up to my running use and purchased another pair in 2022 and wouldn't you know that same problem accrued in the same area. Nice color I was taken with that but as far as holding up as a running sneaker - NO....Lost money both times will not be back.

These were my first pair of NB shoes that I have ever purchased. When I received them- they looked nice.... when I tried putting the shoelaces through- I couldn't! Apparently there was fabric covering the shoelace holes. I was getting deployed in a few days and wanted to keep the shoes for work so I just ended up using a seam ripper. It took me about 45 minutes to cut all the holes through. I called the customer service desk to let them know about the problem and see if there was anything that they could do about it since they cost me over $200 and they were DEFECTIVE! They told me that there was nothing that they could do to help me. Poor quality control and very poor customer service!!! First and last time I will ever buy anything from NB.

I buy New Balance because I have a 10 1/2 B width shoe size. Now you have taken away the standard sizes. I am now having trouble getting a shoe that fits properly. Yes, you may save on inventory with your new scheme. You will loose customers that a shoe that fits with no messing around.

Well, I've worn them (hoping they'd break in) so have to keep them, but I'd return if I could. I need good stability and cushion for a bad knee - they provide that. But these shoes run narrow, are difficult to put on, no room for my orthotics, and one of these days I'm going to go buy some shoelaces because the laces are VERY short (seriously, how much $ do they save skimping on lace length?). I considered exchanging for a 1/2 size up, but was concerned they'd be too long since the length was good with toe room to spare.

I've been wearing 990s for 30 years and these are the most unattractive 990s I've ever owned. Don't care for the color or the white laces at all

I bought a pair in March 2022 and by the end of April 2022 had a hole in the fabrik even though I have several sneakers I circulate and hadn't used these much. Very disappointing. With the cost, I am expecting better quality. I reached out to NB for a refund but didn't receive any response. Otherwise great and the shoe is super comfortable.

My mom has worn these shoes for decades and we got her this pair for her trip. They were not stitched right on the tongue and had a bunch of material that clumped up on the top of her foot I checked and found it. I am returning them this weekend!

Right shoe fit great. Left shoe was small; my toes were at the edge. Returned. Not spending that much on shoes that don't properly fit.

I have been wearing New Balance 990 for at least 20 years. After I have finished running in a pair, that pair becomes an everyday sneaker, and then it becomes a working in the yard shoe. Presently I have 3 pairs of shoes being used either as sneakers or yard shoes. They all have been worn for 3 or more years and none has one popped stitch! My new shoes in less than 6 weeks had popped stitches on both shoes, at the side of where my big toes flex. Not happening! Is New Balance using a poorer quality of thread? Same size, same terrain, same distance.... Very disappointing....

Probably from how they were laced. Overall bad quality - hanging threads, loops in stitching
