I have the gray 990v5. It's a beautiful, well-made shoe. The NAVY version is an inferior product. The suede looks and feels cheap. The tongue is way too short, and the shoe runs short and narrow.

I waited for 3 years just to be able to order this shoe (because it's always out of stock). I was so excited to open the box thinking that the shoe would be flawless but unfortunately it has some imperfections.

Very expensive! Had to replace inserts with $45.00 foot doctor recommended for more support. A rather heavy sneaker.

I really love the style and comfort but it has pigskin which I don't prefer wearing, so I returned it sadly. why is the vegan one only for men? Or please make them without pigskin and I can buy again.

I walk at a rapid pace four to six miles add some running. I had to return these. But I love NB I will reorder the 993 when you get it back in stock size 7. P.S. still waiting on my credit back for the return.

The version 4 was very comfortable for me. I could wear them all day without being uncomfortable. That is not the case now with version 5. They don't have the same stability. My hurt within an hour. So disappointed. What's not broken doesn't need to fixed.

990 is my favorite sneakers. I buy new pair pretty much every year. I buy this as a gift for my family. I ordered online, cause I knew what I want, I believed what I would get, a nice comfortable quality sneakers. This time... a disappointment. Price went up but quality went down. All Covid and logistics problems? Also, I could not use my points, that all expired at the end 2021, which I had no idea about it. I didn't return cause I needed it soon. Do I buy it again? I am not sure. Don't order online, go to shop and check the quality of products.

I have been wearing 990 series New Balance shoes for at least 20 years and have owned at many pairs. I am now on my third pair of NB 990v5's. The plastic shoelace grommets all failed before the remainder of the shoes wore out. The last grommet cracks and the show lace gets stuck in the crack. This is very annoying! I otherwise have loved the shoes so much that I kept buying another pair, only to have the same problem. I can't believe New Balance hasn't caught this problem at the factory and fixed it! Is this what "Made in America" means today?

Did fit my foot ergonomically. The cushion and everything else were fine, but I couldn't get over the weird fit. Had to return

I have worn New Balance for years. Bought these as they were rated high for plantar fasciitis and heel pain. Not worth the price. While they offer some support they do not cushion or comfort as expected. I'd return them if I could.

Shoe was well-made but very heavy and seemed overpriced. It was not very flexible when I walked in it. I think the next time I consider NB, I'll have to go to the actual store to look.

I couldn't wear them with out keeping my balance. Nothing like my old 990 I return them am have yet to get credit for them

Looks good but short tongue that moves is uncomfortable.

I have sort of flat feet and I have to say these are just not very comfortable. The leather is really soft sure but the padding at the sole is quite stiff. I really wish I could return these because they were a little pricey. In comparison my Nike zoom Pegasus 36 are a lot more comfortable but my podiatrist recommended new balance for flat feet so

I've owned over 4 pairs of the US 990v5 and each time I buy them the quality seems to be going down.. I've worn my most recent pair for 4 weeks and already have terrible blisters on my feet and can't walk in these shoes. For some reason, the cushioning and support has declined. I love my US 990v5 so much and wear them all the time, but am considering moving onto another shoe for walking.

I walk 4 miles in these shoes and by the end my feet are killing me. The heel is okay but the support on the front part is wanting very badly. I like NB because I have wide feet and the shoes fit comfortably, however even for walking the they should have better support.

The shoes were just what I was looking for but did not fit in the width and instep. I was disappointed as I did order wide width. They have already been returned.

I want to buy American so i bought this shoe without trying on. It is heavy and too soft for me , could be great for other people tho. Just need to try on next time. Hope we can buy more from anywhere but china in future .
