These are well made and FIT. Easy to order and in a color I like. I have narrow feet, to make your average Chinese sneaker I add layers on insert then lace tight, the fit perfect without that. The last pair lasted 4-5 years and I'll still wear them for lawn work and very casual. ThankYou

My son asked for these for Christmas. He wore them that day and said they were comfortable. They look very nice, too. This is his 1st pair of NB. I bought my 1st pair last summer after a few people told me how comfortable they were....I agree.

Everyday use - Fit was perfect

As an over weight person the 990 gives me a stable walking shoe. It is a classic. Perfect fit.

I am a Senior, I walk, on average 12 miles a week and ride my bike 40 miles. I have worn Rockport Pro Walkers for the past 15 years. The issue I have had with the Rockport's is the 10W was an overly tight fit in the toe box for my left foot. But, for the price, I endured. My wife, who due to an extra wide foot, is a challenge to fit when it comes to shoes, has been using New Balance for a number of years and is quite pleased especially with the extra width. For this same reason I thought I would give NB a try and called NB customer service who recommended model 990V5 in a 10XX size. I have walked about 22 miles with the shoes, so far, and am very pleased with the fit in the shoe box. I am not as pleased with the heel cushion, the much less expensive, 75% less, Rockport's are far more comfortable in the heel.

NB has been my go-to choice for decades for comfort and durability. My latest purchase does not disappoint.

I've purchased several 990v5's in the last couple of years in all 3 colors (size 12D). The blue and black fit like a glove, but the gray are much wider and seem as if they are a wide width but marked 12D. I called NB, but was told too much time had passed since the purchase - 6 months. I guess buying all the other pairs didn't matter.

These were the replacements for newer pair of shoes that the soles came OFF BOTH. Received only a $40.00 credit that had to be used only on the New Balance website. Had to pay a higher price on the site then in a store with discounts. New Balance does not stand behind their products, not willing to replace defective items.

I'm on my third pair of these shoes. I find them very comfortable and durable. I use them for walking and running. I would highly recommend them.

990 is the model, but it could also have been the price, and it would still be worth it. :)

Bought these for my 15 yr old. He has a wider foot and these are perfect for him. Nice looking as well and go with anything since they are a neutral color

Great shoe, super high quality and crazy comfortable. I've been wearing these pretty much nonstop since they were delivered. They fit TTS as well. I'm a 10 in most shoe brands and went with a 10 in these and they fit perfect. Went with wide and my feet have never been happier

I HAVE BEEN WEARING 990s SINCE THEY WERE FIRST RELEASED. THEY ARE RELIABLE AND FIT WELL. NO, THER ARE NOT FLASHY OR THE LOOK OF THE MINUTE BUT THEY ARE THE BEST AND THE ONLY RUNNING SHOE MADE IN THE USA.

My husband really likes this shoe style. He uses them as his dress/good shoes. He always uses his shoes we replaced as his work shoes.
