Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

It took me a while, but I finally found a US made sport shoe. It looks great and I can only hope it wears as well. A bit pricey, but I am trying to be more nationally responsible. I hope to see more US production in the future.

Been wearing this shoe (different versions as is changes) for 15 years. It's great! I take narrow width and this has not been manufactured for the last 4 years although it still shows on sizing chart. It seems NewBalance is now put efforts to the return of the 80s shoe and different colours of this shoe in medium width and not their core stock and sizes. Very disappointing

I've been waiting for 990s in 2E for a while to be available. I requested that NB contact me when it was available, but never heard from them. Luckily I checked on my own and found my size. They are pretty much like the V4s except the tongue seems a bit shorter so I find myself pulling it up occasionally. In any case, I'm glad I found them.

Pricey, but a great shoe. I have worn this model of shoe for many years (around 20 years). I have very flat feet requiring laced shoes, and these are comfortable and long-wearing. I just wish the price wasn't so high.

I had a pair of the 993s and they are my favorite shoe hands down, they were widely unavailable for a while so I looked at the 990s. The shoe is fine overall, however, all my other shoes from NB are 10.5 yet these feel much bigger in the heel and toe area. Making them uncomfortable unless I choke the laces. On the exterior of the shoe, there was cracking and pealing of what I can assume to be a liner of sorts around the heel part of the shoe. Makes it unappealing to wear out sometimes. This shoe is still good quality overall! I am unsure if the issues I have are isolated, but it is my experience so take it with caution!

These shoes are light and comfortable. The width options make it nice for my caveman feet

These are my favorite go-to shoes. I am retired and walk 3-6 miles daily on asphalt and cement and these provide great cushioning and support. I add high arch insoles as well. Great fit and really look awesome. I am a 990 repeat customer for over 5 years.

This is my third pair of the V990 series shoes. They are the ultimate for looks, durability and performance. They are the most comfortable shoes in my wardrobe. They hold and support the feet while providing maximum comfort.

Delivered right on time. I have had the same style multiple times - 990v5. I'm always surprised how good the new pair feel after wearing out the previous pair. First time i have gotten the blue color and it looks very nice. I plan to continue being a repeat customer.
