Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

I've been running Marathons in New Balance since the 1980's. Now that I'm 65, Ive decided to splurge a little and get the 990v5. I've worn 900 series in the past and really loved them but then I moved to Hawaii and options were limited or sold out in my shoe size. I started buying from New Balance website about 2 years ago and I got shoes for All Terrain, Walking/Running again. The 990v5 was not as snug around my toes as other 10.5-Wide New Balance shoes but I found it seems to let air circulate better and so far no side affects like a blister. I ordered another 990v5 but regular/standard width. I'll report on difference, if any, in another review.

I use these shoes as work shoes in my home healthcare work. They are very comfortable and supportive. Unfortunately, they squeak when I walk in them to the level where people with hearing damage have noticed.

Right out of the box these sneakers are amazing. I am a size 11 in men and they are true to size. I have never worn a more comfortable sneaker. You will not be disappointed if you buy these.

I have been using it for years because of the EX-width and the support. the best supportive and wide shoes 2 times buy and return the 990v 4E because they fit me tight I had to find and buy another brand Hope QC and Principals see this and do something about it REGARDS

Love the wide shoes. Have worn the Beast from Brooks for a long time. i like this shoe more. It has a lot of support and offers stability.

Have bought 990's going on 18-19 years. Tired of same old grey, navy, and black for my husband. Can you bring back the design your own shoe choice? Or make at least one new color a season for all sizes and widths?

One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Use these at work when I don't have to wear my workboots where I can walk up to 10 miles in a shift.

Out doctor recommended these shoes specifically for my husband and they certainly are the best and most comfortable shoe he's ever owned. Both of us have worn New Balance for years but this particular one fits him so well and he said he noticed the difference right away. Our doctor wears them as well as he is on his feet a lot. Great shoe and a great American company.

I love the shoe, it's my new everyday wear!. It's a little roomy but not too big with the size I usually wear. Besides that they are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!

While the sneaker light weight, it is still supportive. I'm not a huge fan of the extra cushion. It feels like your standing on memory foam at first. While it is comparable to 993, being young, I'd still opt for the heavier sneaker for stability.

Sizing was perfect. Having worn this sneaker model for several past in-person purchases, I was confident that the sizing chart for online shopping would be correct. New Balance 990 did not disappoint. Love the newly designed insole. Pure comfort, what else is there to say.
