Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

The 990v5 shoes are underrated for midsole arthritis. Having injured my midsole I developed walk limiting arthritis. After two months, I'm now able to walk and hike (within moderation). If you decide to discontinue the shoe, let me know so I can order ten more!

Very comfortable. Ordered a second pair. Also, made in the USA is a big plus.

They run a bit big and are bulky looking but they are very comfortable, half a size down should do it, over all its a great shoe highly recommend.

I work shifts at a minor league ballpark and am on my feet standing and walking for 5-6 hours/shift. These sneaks provide support and keep my feet cool. I highly recommend.

Walk in these everyday since taking them out of the box. Very comfortable.

My 990s are my fourth pair and are consistently better each time. I use them to hike and bike and, because I can order the size and width I need, they provide maximum support. The fact that they are made in the USA is a bonus. Highly recommended.

I have been wearing New Balance shoes for 25+ years and have ordered the last 6 pair from the New Balance store. These 990V5's were my most recent order. The issue I have is not with the shoe because I love them, it's with the order I placed. I ordered an 11.5 4E but when I looked at my confirmation email I noticed it said 6E. I immediately contacted customer service within 5 minutes and told them of the size mistake. They told me that it could not be changed but did confirm that my order request was for 4E not 6E. They said I would have to allow the 6E to arrive and then send them back and reorder the 4E's. This was a huge issue for me so I may never order from the New Balance store again.

Quality material and construction. Most comfortable shoes I've owned and look forward to owning additional pairs/colors. I normally wear a 9 in other brands (the check mark and three stripes one) and had to size down to an 8.5 in the 990v5.

Color faded spot on tongue of shoe. Squeezing of air sound coming from shoes when i walk. Squeaking sounds from outter sole of shoe when walking on different surfaces. For this kind of money , i expect perfection! Or at least slam dunk capabilities and running the 40 in 4.3!

My husband has been wearing the 990's for years and I get him a pair every Fathers Day. This year they were back ordered for months at the runner's shop but the website got me a pair in 2 days!

Love the shoes have been wearing the 990's since 2013 but they sure are getting expensive.

Gotta love how comfortable they are and always swagged out!!!!

I received my new shoes. Much to my disappointment they had white laces. I contacted customer service to see about getting them switched out for grey laces. Again customer service was very blunt and said white is the color that comes with those shoes and that was it. I have purchased these before and have gotten grey laces. The response was terse and cold.

I love these running shoes so much I literally go thru two pairs a year. I run / walk with my dog 5 miles a day. They have helped with knee pain and Plantar fasciitis doctor recommended and loved by the wearer

I wear a 14/2A and have been wearing NB847's for years and this 990v5 beats them for comfort and support.
