Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

This is the 5th pair of USA made model 990 New Balance shoes that I have bought. The fit, build quality, and comfort are as represented, meaning "A-1." While it's true that the price is significantly higher than overseas made shoes of similar appearance, the fact is, you get what you pay for, and if you can part with the extra dollars without too much dismay, my guess is that most people will think, as I do, that it's worth it. The big plus, of course, is that you're also supporting folks who live and work in the USA, and that's an intangible perk that makes you just feel better.

Great fit for my difficult feet. Well-structured for support and comfort. Looking good, too.

I have owned several pairs of this shoe from New Balance and they are excellent.

It's really comfortable and fitting for my feet. Thanks for the width choices, I took 2E in 9.5. None of other shoes can feel like this, extremely perfect! I think because most of the sneaker company don't have the width choices, for the wider feet or over 45 years old people, we always choose bigger size to fit the width. So, many people said this 990v5 run larger, I think it's really run "real" true size when you select the correct width. (for your reference, my other New Balance standard D width is size 10, Nike AF1 is 10 or 10.5)

My husband (a big guy 6ft 6in Tall 260lbs) has been wearing US990v5 shoes for years. The most comfortable, and long wearing shoe.

I use these for casual wear not running very comfortable and the wide width works well for me.

I spend a lot of time on my feet, and now that I'm in my 70's my feet aren't as happy as they used to be. My Podiatrist recommended this brand of shoe in a 2E width. Wow, these are far more comfortable than what I was wearing before. My feet are much happier and so am I.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have even owned. Perfect for wide feet, and by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Don't balk at the price tag. Made in the USA and my last pair lasted 5 years.

Fit is perfect. I used the online template to pick the correct size. Super comfortable. You can wear them all day and barely know you're wearing them at all.

Workouts and separate pairs for healthcare uniform shoes

This is the only shoe that I can use with no issues. I am a narrow wide. Can not buy anywhere else.

I have been wearing 990's for years. They are luxury liners for my feet. It is great that I can get a wide size for my wide feet.

I have worn the shoes everyday for the past two years. They are built to last. The soles wore out a little, but otherwise the shoes held up spectacularly. They are extremely comfortable and I plan on getting another pair.

I order online direct from New Balance as other sites are not uniform on the width selection terminology. Only at New Balance can I order width "D" and get what I need. Other sites use other references and I'm never sure those terms equates to the "D" width. In the past, from Amazon, I had to send back shoes for being too wide as their width terms were (and still are) different from the New Balance site. No guessing at the New Balance site.

This is a really nice American made shoe and it is really comfortable. I've always bought their Made in America shoes and I won't stop now.

I bought these for my 18 year old son. He picked them out for the looks, but has found them to be really comfortable too.
