This might be the only high quality athletic shoe that comes in a very narrow (AA) width. I added an insert for heel comfort reasons, but these shoes are great. I have had at least four pair of these shoes, and these are the best yet. My main activity is pickle ball - indoors and outdoors - and these shoes are perfect.

just a every day shoe i do not run but take the dog out for a walk many times during the day these 990V5 are so so relaxing to wear it took a while for my size to be available but once they were it took less then two days for me to get them a lot more than i wanted to spend but that old saying U GET WHAT U PAY FOR i am not sorry at all for the purchase

These are my husband’s new go-to shoes. He now has 3 pairs. He has developed foot problems as well as back issues. New Balance has really made a big difference in his comfort and ease of movement.

First pair of "top shelf" New Balances. They're legit -- the pictures don't do a very good job of showing the difference in detail; you can certainly tell these shoes were made to a higher standard from the materials used to the stitching.
They were supremely comfortable right out of the box, and I have some pretty flat feet with a very low arch. I also had ankle surgery last year and a history of ankle injuries on my other foot, so I'm no longer cheaping out on footwear with proper support. I can't really "run" any longer, but these do a great job for other low-impact activities, along with standing/walking for extended periods.
I'm in my prime "dad shoe" years so this seemed like a natural fit, but I'd think these would look fine on anyone. Classic look that will age very well.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, and expertly built with high quality material. I'm recovering from ankle surgery and foot pain in my compensating foot. These 990v5s stabilize my feet, take some pain away and give me more confidence in each step. The style is maybe not the sexiest, but it has grown on me. Each day I'm happier than the last that I bought these shoes.

I use the shoe for everyday use. I had been looking for a strong durable shoe that would hold up to my dayly activities without falling apart and I have found them. My knees and ankles don't hurt at the end of the day either. Finally a good shoe made in America.
