I have worn New Balance shoes for 6 years. They discontinued my last model. This model was supposed to be a close replacement. It wasn't, the insole had a funny profile in the ball of the feet. It is slowly breaking in, but slow going. I have been wearing them for two weeks. I didn't return them because it took a long time to get them and they weren't terrible.

Love the look and feel of the 990v5. Some people unfortunately don't appreciate the craftsmanship of these shoes. When worn right, these shoes look better than most hype shoes.

Love the shoes. Fit just right. My second pair of this particular shoe. Felt good from the start. Rather expensive though. I wore Nike's for years, think I'm over that now.

I've given these a couple long runs, no complaints. I'm a size 13, they feel a little looser than my previous pair of shoes, but it's not a big deal.

I've been buying and wearing NB for 40 years now, these shoes have always been very comfortable, and one of the few shoes i can find that come in narrow width. But, to the product development team: the most recent version has a heavy layer of leather and plastic flag sewn into the tongue, making it difficult to loosen the laces, when removing the shoe.... Otherwise great shoe!

It is the best thing that I have felt in years, I had these 990's for years now and my back and leg pains have diminished thematically over time

These are fantastic shoes. This is the third pair I've bought over the last 29 years and I will be buying a pair of black ones as well. Thank you for providing us with a Made in USA option for top quality shoes!

The grey colors of the suede and leather are very neutral so they can be worn with almost anything. I usually wear a 10.5 but sized up and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable too.

They are my sons every day shoes and he said the are the most comfortable shoes he's ever had.

Our weather has been to junky to be out much and I havent had opportuinties to really give them a real test! Rating will be reviewed when I can really try them out!

These New Balance 990 v5 Made in USA are not only exceptionally comfortable, but classic in style. I love the use of genuine suede leather material. it's great to see companies still using the best and longest lasting and irreplaceable premium materials.

I am 73 years old and as such I need a comfortable and supportive walking shoe for my early morning hikes. I walk for one hour. For the first 40 minutes all is fine but thereafter the shoe developes "shoe fatigue." The comfort diminishes and I start to feel the surface irregularities and hardness of the pavement through the sole. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 175 pounds. I would have bought a higher grade New Balance model shoe and have done so in the past but none were available.

Great feel very comfortable . My feet will enjoy them as always . I have been wearing New Balance since 1987.

So far so good made in the USA , I was looking for sneakers that were good for your back and knees I'm these will help.

These are great for casual wear. I recommend getting the wide because it makes it a casual shoe. Not really a running shoe; but fashionable.
