My first 990. Better than I thought. Comfort , nice colour

High quality, nice design, and very comfortable. I really like it.

Purchased for my husband. He had a stroke 4 1/2 years ago and has difficulty walking. He seems to really like his new shoes and gives them a thumbs up for comfort!

I found the right size at 11.5 D and it fits great.

Wear it everyday. Great shoe overall but I know it won't last super long as the heel and sole will deteriorate overtime. The foam just will fall apart towards the end. This is a common issue I've had with each of the 990 or similar models. For the price we're paying I'd hoped that it'd be more durable.

Ran on 998 s for 40 plus years. Purchased the 993 and every bit as good. Love them.

There are the most comfortable, best fitting sport shoes I've ever owned. And they had better be for that price.

This is the third pair that I have owned and they have all been great. I have a very narrow foot so fit is important to me and they fit better than any other shoe that I have owned. Their look is stylish and the feel is very good. 5 stars!!

These shoes are very comfortable and of exceptional quality.

Use as a walking shoe. A bit5 wider fit than the 928V3 which I would have bought had they not been out of stock for over 4 months.

Appears to be a good shoe. But the assumption I made when I ordered it, that it would be a bit narrower than indicated by it's advertised width (as have been the case for some other New Balance shoes) was incorrect. And New Balance doesn't make shoes in E. So I bought another brand.

Just purchased the USA 990v5 and what a great shoe! Workmanship is on the mark. I was happy when NB offered the " made in the USA" version. They were easy to break in. They have become my daily walkers and I also use them for nights out, socializing with friends. I have received a number of comments on how sharp they appear. Great to have the wide width selection also.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I am typically a size 10 which I ordered in standard width. I find they give a bit more room for a size 10 than other shoes, but I don't mind it at all since I hate feeling like there isn't enough room in my shoes. They look great with basically any outfit and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Great width and neutral color. I recently had bunion surgery and these were the only shoes I could fit while recovering. They're still my most comfortable pair of shoes. FYI: I'm typically a size 11 in women but I purchased these in an 11 in men for the width.

The very week that I received delivery of the shoes I bought on-line, I received a post card from my local New Balance Store offering a 15% discount until April 15. I have worn NewBalance 990s for 25 years and have purchased many pairs from local retailers. This was the first purchase I have made direct. I sure think it would have been nice for you to offer the same discount to this long-time customer, but NO-you processed the full price order. Not impressed with your highly touted company ethic..although you do make good shoes.

I am a 60+ year old man with diabetes and foot neuropathy. I searched for a long time to find a comfortable shoe. I finally found the shoe for me, the New Balance Made In The USA 990V5. A great, comfortably fit with excellent support. I laced mine up using a strait line, or ladder, pattern for additional room inside the shoe. I recommend these shoes and will definitely purchase another pair.

my last two pairs were different than they use to be. I noticed the sole seemed thinner, felt more of the rough surfaces and was not comfortable. and the shoe felt a bit too wide to hold my feet. my feet seemed to float rather than feel supported. the length was a bit too long, not very much but enough to notice. my heel wants to lift out easier than it should. But the overall build quality I still there, just not really true to size, like a little too much variance in the quality control.

this is the second pair I've had and fits so perfectly. Need size 14 Narrow and is so great for all day comfort
