Wear shoes every day. They are very comfortable and fit perfectly. I was surprised that mail order worked out for me.

This is the best shoe that is made, but even as a female customer, I find that the men's 6E width is not wide enough. Some people need a square type of toe, no tapering going forwards to the toes. Some people's feet do not get narrower towards the toe. I am disappointed that NB is coming out with so many pointed toe styles and nothing emphasizing a wide width and a square toe. The extra depth shoes of some orthopedic shoe companies are not the answer in this case. Extra depth means that the toe is longer and higher - perhaps for a prosthetic insert. In addition, I don't understand why there are 6E men's shoes and not 6E women's shoes. Personally, I would want 11E women's shoes with a straight edge up to the end of the big toe and a basically square toe. There are men's 9E width shoes from some orthopedic shoe companies, but they are not made as well as New Balance, so I would want the quality of the New Balance shoe. I would be willing to pay more for this as compared to a regular size shoe because it is a matter of being able to walk optimally.

I own 4 pairs of this shoe in different colors and LOVE them. Fantastic support, great fit, long lasting, My only complaint is that the shoe laces are way to long. They almost touch the ground when tied and get in the way when working out or working in the garden.

Best sneaker to buy...like walking on air..they come in 4 E which I can only wear...very hard to find 4 e in stores these days...2 e I can wear but it's tight so 4 e is best for me..

My Podiatrist recommended I get better shoes to alleviate my foot pain. He recommended the New Balance 900 series. Long story short, I love my new 990v5s and now have little to no pain. Can't wait to get them in black when they are available.

This purchase replaced the same model and style. It seems that the infinite wisdom of management mens width is D and having a B width availability most grateful. The instep and arch fit perfectly but heels are somewhat loose. Being a Korean Veteran American made a requisite for me.

The shoe is very comfortable and fits similar to the 847v2. That being said, the price of the shoe is about $50 too much. Also, I switched the shoelaces to the tubular laces. The flat laces come undone all the time.

This 990 walking shoe typically runs large in my 11-2A size. This is the third pair in 3-4 years and all are the same. I am stuck since New Balance quit making the 847 in the same size that I had previously been purchasing and finding a much better fit. Please don't tell me to wear thicker socks. I would love to see the return of the 847 or its 800 series predecessors. I would also like to see more shoes offered in the 2A sizes!

After breaking my ankle ten years ago I was told that New Balance would be a an excellent choice of shoe to wear. Since that time they have been my only shoe.

Unknown to me, my wife had ordered the same shoes for me a couple of days earlier. I began wearing them before the NB shipment came. Most people would have probably sent them back. However, I elected to keep them. So, now I have a new pair that I will wear when the first ones wear out, which history indicates will be two to three years. Have worn NB's top lines for years. Never been disappointed and am not now. This particular order was handled as expected in all regards.

I wear this shoes to alleviate my symptoms of foot pain ever since I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis 10 years ago. I no longer use foot orthotics, I just use this shoes because it's more stable and it has the right amount of cushion to support my foot.

I'm a younger guy suffering from a lot of general foot pain due to genetics and a few other factors. Ive tried so many different kinds of shoes and brands, and so far these new balance 990s and the 880s are the only shoes I've worn that make my feet happy! This shoe has really reduced my foot pain and allowed me to be on my feet a lot more. Plus they come in 4E which with feet as wide as mine it's so hard to find my size. Would def recommend if you are having foot issues or have wide feet and need a good general walking shoe.

Amazingly comfortable fits perfectly. Memory foam all day support specially if your on your feet all day !

for many years, I was buying NB990. Always the best quality and no surprises.

I NEVER buy shoes of any type on-line, as I need to put them on my feet first. However, I thought I'd try this one time. I bought this walking shoe and it fits ok. Not very comfortable but they are brand new. Guess they may need breaking in. Thing is, if I use them for a couple weeks and don't like them, can they be returned?

These shoes are great for running. They provide good foot, heel and arch support. Best shoes I've bought. Oh and they look way better than the photo online. So happy with my purchase

This is my 6th pair of 990 shoes. I have a lot of arthritis in both ankles, and flat feet. The 990 provide the support and comfort I need. I would like for the stings to be the same color as the shoes. White strings with these gray shoes is not good. Hard to find a matching pair.

I use the shoes as my daily walking and knocking around shoes. My running days r behind me now but I do stay active. These shoes provide a very solid base with a replaceable arch support if u have orthotics.
