Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

I have been wearing this shoe style for 10 years it is great.I walk 4 to 5 miles everyday in them great support and comfort . The only thing that I find troubling is that the soles seem to wear out quicker with every pair.I use to get 9 months out of them now only get 6 months.

Love it very comfortable and stylish!

Great shoe for all purposes. Can workout in them, can do long walks, can even use them as hype fashion shoes to work or out on the town. Little weird these run so big in toe box I had to half size down. I am. 4E wide and still had to half size down for perfect fit. I like loose but not that loose fitting. I just wish I discovered these shoes earlier to have picked up more color ways.

I used have the NB 993 I loved it. This one might be slightly lighter than the 993.

The higher price than a standard shoe is well worth it. Support is great and I don't have any pronation wear that happens with other models.

New Balance are virtually the only cross-trainers I would use. This is from years of experieence. And the 990v5 is virtually the top of the line for comfort, strength and style. I believe this is my 5th set of the 900 series over the past 10 years.

I didn't have to "break in" this walking shoe. No sore or blisters of any kind on several long walks. My last pair of NB walking shoes lasted 15 years, and I look forward to walking in these for the rest of my life.

They are comfortable enough, but they are squeakers, definitely not sneakers. Right out of the box, with every step they squeak audibly. I have bought dozens of 990s in my lifetime, without this problem. This squeaking also happened with the last pair I bought, but at least I had had them for a while before it started. I traced the problem on that earlier pair to detached black rubber on the bottom. Can't find anything detached on the new ones, though. A quality control problem, perhaps.

Everything is great about this model. It has nice arch support and great looks. Blue is my favorite. I buy wide shoes so that my special orthotics fit, and they fit well. Buy these!!

I love my 990 version 4. I feel that the version five is somewhat of a downgrade. It is still comfortable, but the fit seems flawed.

Been buying them for years for running and walking plus they are made in USA. Love the Flag on the tongue. When I first bought I checked out many other brands for running. They were the best for my feet!

These are so comfortable and true to size. My favorite pair of sneakers.

I use the shoes in a daily working. They are great support and comfortable.

I'm a sneakerhead typically into dunks, but everyone who wears a lot of dunks knows that they aren't the go-to for comfort. I'm now an NB believer and rocking the 990v5s all day long (and getting another pair in Navy).

This has been my go to shoe for years. Just bought yet another pair. We walk 50-60 miles a week and these babies have stood true for a long time.

Please keep making the 990 v5. They are like part of my body when I wear them

Started out using them long distance running in the mid 80s. Over the years I have always purchased same model made on America. Can't run anymore due to bad knees but still use them for walking 5-10 miles a day.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit properly since I have a wide foot 6E. These shoes are probably the most comfortable I have ever had. Great ventilation too so it doesn't get hot. The only thing about them is they can stain easily so I would recommend buying a product for that and don't use them as work shoes.
