Ran large! Feel a size bigger than expected, but I didn’t realize (I barely wore them) before it was too late to return them

NIce shoes, very comfortable....but part of the toe structure rubs right on my big toe, so, cannot be worn all day - maybe unique to my foot? I had to return them.

Too soon to tell. Every brand new pair of shoes feels good for the first few days. The real question is what will they feel like 30, 60 or 90 days from now. The fit was exactly as expected. I should be writing this review three months from now.

I have always worn a 9 1/2 narrow (B) width, however it's now running wider. The first pair of narrows I ordered was also too wide, but I kept them. This is the second pair and they are still running too wide. These have been returned and exchanged for a 9 1/2 extra narrow. Hope this makes the difference.

I have been buying the 990 sneakers since they came out. The V5 seems a little less supportive then the past models. Also the mesh on top seems to let in more cold air then the past ones. Still, it is a very good shoe. However, I am going to try to stock up on older models while they are still available. I really wish there was a comparison chart between the different models.

Fourth pair of the New Balance 990 series. So far so good. Sad, in a way, that I have to buy a more expensive ""running shoe"" for cushioning. I've tried two ""Fresh Foam" NB shoes and there is no padding in them in my opinion.

Very nice shoe and is well made. Comfortable and will be my dedicated walking shoes. One would think NB would put decent laces in these expensive shoes. Flimsy ordinary laces. And yes, that does matter to me.

This brand 6E width fits well and my feet are not hurting when I walk. They provide all-day comfort and I am glad I got them. The reason for the 4-star overall is dropped one star due to the cost of the shoe. Having larger feet I always have to pay more, but these exceeded the high price I am used to paying for shoes. If the foot pain stays away it will be worth the extra cost and I would then give a 5th star overall.

Made in the states New Balance are always reliable. Worn 992s for years and now 990s.

I have narrow feet which seems to be rare these days and New Balance is one of the few athletic shoe brands to still do a narrow size. I tried the 990 several years ago, and they fit and felt great, but the sole did not hold up to high moisture. For such and expensive shoe, that was a disappointment. I'm trying a new pair now that feel great, just hoping they hold up better than that last pair.

I wish there were other color choices in this style. How about taupe?

Good support, light weight, feels good on the road

break in needed(at least for me) I use my orthotics good overall support

Felt a little narrower than marked. They are light as a feather. I had the original 990 back in the day with the Vibram soles.

Pricy and limited in selection. Outstanding shoe though with good support
