Great shoe. Happy made in america. Waiting for better made in usa running shoe to come out

I have been wearing New Balance shoes for 25+ years and have ordered the last 6 pair from the New Balance store. These 990V5's were my most recent order. The issue I have is not with the shoe because I love them, it's with the order I placed. I ordered an 11.5 4E but when I looked at my confirmation email I noticed it said 6E. I immediately contacted customer service within 5 minutes and told them of the size mistake. They told me that it could not be changed but did confirm that my order request was for 4E not 6E. They said I would have to allow the 6E to arrive and then send them back and reorder the 4E's. This was a huge issue for me so I may never order from the New Balance store again.

I just got a new pair of 990V5 size 9 Wide. I'm comparing them to my old pair of 990V4 and they are noticeably smaller. The sole looks to be a half size smaller and the fit is tight all around. I do not understand why this is! Not sure what to do.

Hello, I bought a pair of NB 990v5. it is super comfortable, but there is protruding seam (see photo) which disappoint me. is it a quality? what can we do with it?

Chose wide and fits well. Very comfortable around my toes, which I usually have an issue. Feels bit loose around the heels, but comfortable when walking.

I like the simple esthetics of these shoes. It is monotone--all grey! This makes it extremely versatile to wear; either casually or for a brief workout. It is quite comfortable to walk in all day. I would definitely recommend owning this shoe if you have not had one yet.

Comfortable and a lot of support. A little pricy.!

wanted to like these as much as my V4's and my 993's, but these fell apart after a year vs my v4's and 993's still going strong. Disappointed in the drop in quality of my favorite show.

so good. but i think 993 is better than 990. and Why are there two tags?

My husband likes it very much and we bought it for my son as his birthday gift. We got size 8, but it is longer, so have to return it and will buy size 7.5 again.

I wear New Balance 990v5 sneakers because they are well made and come in wide sizes. I do believe they could be more comfortable and less expensive.

These are quite comfortable but the seem to run a little big. Size-down and you have a new dream pair of NBs!

My foot is size 13 with a B front width and an A or AA heel. And I wear orthotics. 990v5 and it's predecessors fit. I can find no other casual shoe that fits. And I've tried. This would be about my 24th pair, approximately 1/yr. Three concerns. My old uppers are just fine, and the soles are not seriously warn given my aged condition, but the softness of the underfoot construction turns hard after about a year's wearing. That's the only reason I have to buy new ones annually. Also, I'm old, retired, fixed income and try as I might I can't find a break in the price anywhere. I believe this shoe is made on the SL-1 last and you used to provide the last in the description, allowing us to try different models made on the same last. I'd like some variety.

The shoe is comfortable and fits true. I wear them 40 hrs/wk. Best of all they are made in the USA!!!

Yeah, It has great design with not bad walking filling. But, I think 993 has better walking filling than 990v5. 990v5 feels more harder than 993.

General use it when it's to cold to go in Sandals . Been buying the 900 series for decades. Had 993's these seem easier to slip into with out untying and a little looser. I cycle the used pair into Gym shoes . Been buying these in 9.5 2E forever I don't even bother looking at anything else nobody does wide better.

The only reason I give it four stars out of five is I wanted black and you did not have a black NB 993 in my size. I have come to your website several times in the last few months and never could find the black shoe in my size. I have worn 993's for years.
