It's not easy to shop Made in America. I was very pleased when fiinally found these walking shoes. They were priced higher than my normal comfort zone, but they are worth it for Made in America. They are a little too large for me and will be returned. Please make more products here. The idea of children working in Chinese factories is barbaric.

This model is a great shoe for everyday use and very easy to wear and style, is a must for people that walk a lot

I'm a delivery driver and use many different NB shoes and boots throughout the week and year. I put an average 8 miles a day on my feet with your products. Ive been increasing disappointed not with the quality but availability of my size and type of shoe I've been accustomed to. I realize with the supply chain struggle it's been hard for everyone, but it took months for any variation in shoe to become available in my size. My biggest complaint is that I've missed out on many promotions before and during the holidays. I only wish I could lock in these deals for when my size finally became available. Had you not had my size this time I would have been forced to look elsewhere.

My treadmill and road shoe. I'm 70 years old and try to get 14-15 miles in per week and these really work well for me. I've been wearing NB for as long as I can remember because I need a narrow width and the V5 meets my needs. I wish the tongue had an opening so I could run the laces through it to keep it securely in place.

Shoe overall is 9.5/10. Only downfall is price. New Balance used to be one the best when it came to quality/affordability. Sadly nowadays the affordability is out the window when it comes to certain models. Overall cant go wrong with 990s if you got the cash for them.

I have worn New Balance shoes for 6 years. They discontinued my last model. This model was supposed to be a close replacement. It wasn't, the insole had a funny profile in the ball of the feet. It is slowly breaking in, but slow going. I have been wearing them for two weeks. I didn't return them because it took a long time to get them and they weren't terrible.

I've been buying and wearing NB for 40 years now, these shoes have always been very comfortable, and one of the few shoes i can find that come in narrow width. But, to the product development team: the most recent version has a heavy layer of leather and plastic flag sewn into the tongue, making it difficult to loosen the laces, when removing the shoe.... Otherwise great shoe!

These are great for casual wear. I recommend getting the wide because it makes it a casual shoe. Not really a running shoe; but fashionable.

Use the shoes as my everyday shoes. Walking, working out and general wear. I find the shoe has a bit of a wider heel. Not the best for me as a wear a 12.5 2A.

Good shoe I can't afford to replace them that often any more

Still miss my 998s but the 990v5 is a close relative. These are the ONLY shoes I wear. Wear them every waking hour since I have significant arthritis in one tibio-talar joint. Been wearing NB's shoes since before my knee was replace in 1995. Only brand I buy.

I have had at least four pairs of 990's sz 13. Ordered 990V5's in sz 13 and had to return for a 12.5 but otherwise the same shoe.

I ordered my normal 9.5/W. Length is great, width fits like an double wide. Looks great

walking and casual wear I've been wearing New Balance since mid 80's. They seem to have changed the size as in length. I always wore 10 W or EE the. I now require 10.5 4E to get comfortable fit.

As a woman with wide feet and a high arch and high instep, I am wearing men's 990s to get the 6E width. When I purchased the previous 990s in the store two years ago, the store laced them. This time, with a mail order, I had to lace them. I saw that in the photos on your website, the shoes were laced differently from what the store did. I followed the photo on your website and it gave me more width. So some previous discomfort came from the store not lacing it correctly. That said. I still need a wider width at the toe - no tapering - more like a rectangular toe - and wider at the instep. I wish your company made a 990s in women's with the 6E width and also with a more rectangular toe.
