These are great sneakers. I use them every day at work, I'm a mechanic and I'm on my feet all day. They wear great, I usually get a year out of a pair. Their also made is USA which is one of the main reasons I buy them. You cannot go wrong.

A great all around casual shoe. What I like, it's made in America. I don't have any dislikes at this time.

These shoes are easily the best pair in my collection right now! They're very comfy too, and hella stylish, pretty much look good with anything.

I have owned several pairs of the 990's over the past few years and they are extremely comfortable. I wear them everyday.

This brand makes the best fitting shoes as well as the most durable. You may pay more but receive great quality. Just would like to get the blue color in my size. This seems the be the biggest problem

Only show that allows my husband to walk as exercise without his feet hurting.

Within days of starting to wear the sneakers my foot and knee pain subsided. I am on my feet all day and they make the day so much easier to get through.

The name and numbers have changed through the years but the fit and comfort have always been the same perfect

Sneakers are very comfortable and long lasting. They are a bit pricey for the value.

Had the shoes for 3 weeks now. They look and feel great. I wanted a sneaker made in the USA that came in a wide size , and these are perfect.

The toe box on these shoes has been reduced by 1/2". the hurt my toes. I have the same shoes I ordered last time with a nice wide toe box. Will have to send these back.

The shoes fit very well and run a little small. They are very comfortable and provide excellent support. The grey is very stylish and versatile. I highly recommend the shoes for anyone interested in style and comfort!

Far Superior in Design, Materials, and Construction, this shoe corrects faulty mechanics of running and walking. Sizing returns to the traditional American standards. I purchased New Balance Fresh Foam 860's (made in Indonesia) in 8.5 Extra Wide and found them to be just barely large enough. While searching for a better option, I put 25 to 30 miles per week on them while battling foot and knee pain. At my brother's suggestion, I googled "running shoes made in America" and found that the New Balance 990's were the only ones that were made in America and offered in wide widths with high support and stability. I ordered Men's 8.5 extra wide and they were too large. So I returned them for Men's Size 8 Extra Wide, which was my size before almost all the running shoes started being manufactured in Asia and South America. The New Balance Made in the USA 990v5 felt great when I first put them on. Within days, my foot and knee pain subsided almost completely. After three weeks of walking and running in the 990's, I don't want to take them off! I just want to buy more. My dreams of foot comfort have been realized. Wishing for New Balance to make a waterproof hiking shoe or boot version.

He really likes them. No need for other insoles, which is new for him. They look great, too.

Fit well and are comfortable. Wonder how long the soles will last. My 990v4s' soles didn't last as long as did the soles on my 990v3s. Was willing to pay about $100 to an outfit that resoles boots and athletic shoes, but that outfit told me my 990v4s' soles were too far gone. A shame because the v4s' uppers held up very well, as did those on my v3s.

I liked this shoes for its quality. I would more happy if in next version it can be more breathable.
