The fit was exactly as advertised. Sole is soft like walking on air.

Spent the money on these 990's not for the reputation, but for their overall comfort. Tried all sizes at local shoe store for a true to size fit, and then ordered these based on that. 10/10

Simply put, they fit, they wear well, they support US workers, and its a good quality shoe all around. I use my old ones for yard work and they still feel good unless they just start to break down from use.

I have bought many NB shoes over the years. Always satisfied. I would like to have more options in shoes either A or AA width. I totally support the pay no million athlete an endorsement fee policy.

Good shoe all around. 2E is good width for my tween 2e and 4e.

This is my 4th or 5th or maybe the 6th pair I have bought through LLBean. They fit with my LLBean slacks, my LLBean shirts and my LLBean jacket. you might think most of my wardrobe is LLBean and yiu would be right.

Having a high instep makes it hard to find good shoes. These are the best, my 2nd pair. Thank you new balance.

The most I ask of my athletic shoes is comfort. I wear them daily and do a lot of walking and standing and the 990v5 fills the bill!! I have the 990's in all 3 colors!!

Great design and support.

This is a great shoe. Used mostly for everyday walking. I have neuropathy and these are more comfortable to wear than the 577s. Podiatrist recommended 900 series and up, so I purchased these 990v5.

Extremely comfortable shows often recommended by podiatrist. I have had painful neuroma's so I get the extra wide shoe. Provides great support.

A well made shoe in a narrow last which is hard to find, yes? I live in these soles. May well be the president of all my shoes. How many can I fit in my trunk?

I've had a half dozen of the 990 model over the years. Always comfortable and worth the extra money.

My son has a wide foot and he loves these he's very picky and the fact I don't have to worry about the shoe being cut to small is a PLUS

Comfortable and stylish

Been wearing NB shoes for over 50 years; have worn no other. Well made, fine support and they have a good selection for narrow sizes. So I graded up to the big time. I had been wearing 577's. Although the 990's are comfortable; not enough cushioning for walking. i have bad knees and plantar faucitis. The 577's served me better for walking and at half the price. These are all around shoes and not specifically for walking, which may have been my mistake. That being said I just ordered a pair of NB 847G4's which are designed for walking, and let's see if those work out better. Either way, I will remain a loyal customer.

this is my second pair of NB 990 sneakers. I ordered half size smaller, but with 4X width, man, it fits perfectly. love the NB 990 series.

I have worn the 990 since 1985. I wore the shoe during long distance running and marathons in the 80's and 90's. I wear it now for casual wear and hiking on concrete and asphalt. It's the best.

I have wide, tall feet with high arches. Basically everything that could cause a shoe not to fit. This makes it extraordinarily hard to find comfortable shoes. These shoes are super comfortable and the wides are actually wide enough. Not only that but they are super stylish (rocking the dad shoes) and well made. Highly recommend. I got several pairs of different sizes and colors to try and the ordering and return process was very painless. Only bummer was that I couldn't keep them all.
